Today was the begining of the NHL free agency period. The cap has been set at 50 mill ad the race is on to build a winner. Discuss your teams current state...and the latest signings/trades here.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you watch hockey you would understand why today the entire city of Buffalo, NY is in a state of total shock and despair...we will have a talented team..but we lost 2 of the best players in the league..not bc they wanted the money...but bc our front office waited untill 3 days before free agency to offer then a deal...and a rediculous bad deal at that. Bye Captain Clutch Chris Drury...by Danny Briere..8 years 52 mill who will make 15 mill the first season..i don't blame you danny..Darcy is just a peice of shit..they raised season tix prices 20% is a poor city..promising they would spend more than they did last year...and they let our captains walk...can i have my money back please?

If you are a NY Rangers fan...good for you...good for u...if you are a Philly fan...i know your team has sucked forever...but soon..very soon u wont...Ducks...god you now have the sickest D ever.

Current winners in FA
1. NY Rangers - Signed Chris Drury and Scott Gomez
2. Daniel Briere leaves Buffalo and signs with Philly for 8 years 52 million..he has a no rade claus meaning he can deny any trade..he received a 5 million signing bonus and also would make 10 mill his first year...making his first year salary a total of 15 million dollars.
3. Scott Gomez - Rediculous money to play on a now, very good team. Good for you..tho playing with Jagar...must suck. hes a p.o.s.
4. Colorado Aves sign Ryan Smyth..this guy has heart.. very good player

theres some other winners but these are the top 4 so far in my opinion

Well I totally forgot about NHL free agency with all the NBA stuff, but wow, I am amazed by the rangers moves on the first day, two big signings for long term, good for them the will defiantly be a forced to be reckoned with.
