Death Note Live Action

There's an anime and there's a manga. The next best thing is the Live Action.
Just wondering, has anyone seen it? and what are your comments and oppinions?
I would like anyone who has seen it to share.
Or for those who would like to watch but are unsure, you could discuss it here also. :)

First off.. this is one heck of an awesome anime and of course the manga is just as hawt. I bought the Live Action and I have fallen in love with Light and L's characters lol.
I reckon these two are perfect for the role and there's no denying it.
At first I found it strange that it was all Real Life, but it grew on me and it became suspensful and you'd wish it was real =D
I dunno, but the Live Action was awesome and it felt great to see it in Live Action.

I seen both of it last year.
During the 1st one, I wasn't into it because i was new to Death note. So all the characters were a surprise to me.
After watching the 1st movie, i started watching the anime and reading the manga and I got into the middle of the anime and then the second movie was released.
I watched the second one with more knowledge of the characters.
I was dissapointed in the ending. It was different thats for sure.
I felt like they should've ended it at the part when L first (initially) died.
and then make a third movie with Mello, Near, and Mikami. and then Kira dying in the end.

I have seena the first movie, I liked it a lot!
At first, it was hard to see Raito so... unatractive, but you get used to it XD

nah.. I reckon they chose the right Light :3
I found him strange at first, then I grew on to him and I find him adorable
same with L
he played his part REALLY well

Live actions anime is bad, it's basically an hour and a half of cos play. Also, anime characters look more white than Japanese, it just doesn't work.

I think death note is an exception. Because the anime/manga tries to be as modern as possible, the only supernatural element in Death Note is the notebook and the Shinigamis, which were computed generated, so the only cosplaying done is L's hair and his clothes and the notebook.

You know my opinions on this Kava so I'll only say this.

Omg the Bleach musical made me laugh Dr Pepper out of my nose. It was so fruity i couldn't stop laughing watching it. The best part was the backstage video they made, that was funny as hell.


I've got the dvds for both DN movies and I <3 them to death (no pun). Seriously thought they did a good job, it really helped that DN was a modern series so they really didn't have to screw with everything and it seem so unbeleivable in real life. The shinigami animations were excellent too :D And the part where L followed Light to school is classic. That mask was made of pure win!!

I like how they ended it (well cept for L dying and all) but it was way too rushed... yet seeing L screw Light over and defeat him was sweet.

I would've LOVED to have seen the entire series in live action, cuz that would've just blown me over... though THAT would've totally been unrealistic... They would've had to get all these white people that spoke japanese AND fit the characters... Yeah that wouldn't have worked, lest they had worked with american/british companies and subtitled all of the parts where the character were speaking in English... but even without the 2nd half the movies were good, and seriously worth watching more then once.


I'm really excited about that live action movie based off of L, THAT is gonna be good :biggrinki
