View Full Version : Social Status?

People at school are normally in social classes (nerds, popular people, etc.). So, were you or are you a nerd, jock, or other term used?

I'm a nerd, but I've been dubbed "the only cool nerd" for some reason I can't explain. Probably because the other nerds have bad attitudes, or they don't get along with other people.

If it's considered a social status, I've been named "The School Freak" due to my strange fashions.

My school is higher end, and we wear uniforms, but once in a while we get to wear anything we want, and I take the "anything" to the extreme.

wow, how stereotypical! everyone classified under a certain "label"

i guess i'm just the "good student"? if there is even that label... i'm not nerdy, or geeky even though i get good grades, i'm not popular in that typical way... a person in the crowd? your everyday high school student who doesn't stand out.

I'm in the middle I guess XD

I'm not the one being stereotypical, my classmates are.

I'm not surprised that many people are in the middle class.

my school strangely doesnt really have social status's. ask most people there and they'd say that they dont know what social status they belong to. nerds or smart people arent seen as bad though. lol my school must be backwards to everyone elses hahaha xD

I was prep-punk-nerd group all at once. Let me explain.

The prep kids that were in my high school were all very smart and got good grades.

I did too (7th in my class thank you very much) and often associated with them during my classes and I might choose to have lunch with them every so often.

However, I was also punk. Being that I used to be fairly good at skateboarding (I could drop in off huge ramps and varial flip) and used to do mischievous things, I made a lot of "friends" that way and met people that used the skate ramps at my house and my current (and former pyromaniac and knife lover) best friend.

Therefore I would also make fun of the above preps (who I also got along with) with the punks and do the opposite with the preps (not as bad as I make it sound, but I got along with pretty much everyone). I also wore skater gear and I still do usually, despite me not skateboarding anymore.

I also was a nerd though because I also hanged out with the nerdiest kid in the entire school, a good friend with Aspergers and a love for neural net programming. And I was exceedingly smart and a great debater and good at everything computer-wise.

I didn't wear any nerd clothes or have glasses though, nor was I fat and smelly like some of the nerd stereotypes dictate.

Therefore I am an amalgam of those three social statuses.

i'm average i guess, so in the middle.

I hang with some of the average people, and occasionally the somewhat popular crowd. Even though I'm not really popular, some admit I'm kinda cool.

Well I'm number one on my tennis team..its an all girl catholic school and i hang with mostly the people on my tennis team and softball, volleyball and people like that..but im not popular because i could care less. I would rather play tennis or go on my skateboard then be the center of attention.

I'm the anti-social former nerd. I used to be very smart, but now, not as smart as usual. I'm pretty anti-social in real life; I prefer not to associate myself with people, because I've seen many bad things happening to people with friends. I don't need to fit in with the "cool" gang; I have my own set of standards and moral, thank you very much.

I'm trying to regain my former nerd status so that I can gain some recognition from the nerdy people.

Average I guess. I have really close friends and then friends that I barely know at all XD I'm not really popular, but I'm not a nerd either. every body at my school just has thier own group of friends. I'm just as popular as the next person

I was ... well lets see ::

Loner
Band Geek
'Goody Goody' - idk if they still call it that anymore i have been out of HS for almost 4 years and the terms change fast

But i also was more of a 'Drifter' because i could blend into most of the cliques rather easily... i couldn't stay there, but i could get along with everyone... lol i guess that makes me kindof Goth b/c the goths in my school could be friends with everyone

Loser.
Ugly geek loser who sits by himself at lunch playing Yu-Gi-Man cards...by himself.

The "quiet, cool loner". <- Someone actually described me as that. I'm not in one group, I have friends that are "popular", "nerdy", "creepy", etc. I just tend to keep to myself.

Question: Honestly, what do people define as "popular"? Because its funny how there are "popular" kids that I don't know the names of. They obviously aren't that popular then, are they?

07-17-2007, 01:28 PM
well... we have this social status...err... system in school...

(from top to bottom)
1. Over Achievers (smart/nerdy/pre-occupied students)
2. Top Cats (student leaders)
3. Flies, Ticks, Mice (always behind the heels of the prominent students, they feel popular coz of that)
4. Celebutards ( trendsetters/always in the latest fashion; celebrity + retard :p)
5. Over-excited Freshies (well... over-excited freshmen...)
6. Inter-planetary exchange student (out-of this world type; usually exclaim on something common and shallow)
7. Courists (course + racists; think they're better than ppl coz they got like the nicest course)
8. Hard-days-night students (self-supporting students)
9. Bullfighters (aggressive students)
10. Outgoing Students (they usually recieve the "haven't you graduated yet? compliment")
11. Flying students (course shifters)
12. Audiences (silent majority; dun possess stunning qualities)

I'm in a mix between the inter-planetary exchange student and the bullfighters... >_>
I act childish sometimes or most of the time and..well... I hate waiting, I join extra-curricular activities in school that can help me boost my confidence/etc... :Domo

^ NERD !!

Lol j/p but seriously where i just graduated from thats pretty much be what you are unless you where good at a sport then you'd be a Jock/Sudo-Nerd

I was QUEEN! ~I wish~ I was maily part of that silent majority everyone else seems to fit into... but I was in Band so I got band-geek when it wasnt track season.. I wasnt good but i played and i guess that counted for something because it erased all the "Geek" Lol

I have been a looser. I was good at school, but didn't do my work, so the teachers didn't like me. But yet, I was hated by cool people, because I was still good at school.

Also, I was the one who created the role-playing club, and I was the only one able to be game master.

One day, I just stoped thinking about hating others (because I hated them at least as much as they hated me). My role-playing club increased in members (going from 2 to ±16).

I have been voted the weirdest guy in the school (considering there was about 2000 students in this school) in my last year.

Also, at the graduation bal (not sure if it's spelled like that in english), my friends and I (12 persons) were the only one in the 400 persons to actualy have fun...

Hey... I shall stop now...

I was just a weird.

Edit: Well... I still am.

I never saw myself as any stereotype... and people never called me one, either.

You could say I'm a band geek, but I'm not. I despised band last year... In fact it left me feeling really depressed and worthless over the last year. If it hadn't been for marching band (which I did happen to love.) I wouldn't have even been in band last year.

i don't really know where i stand...
and i don't really care for this matter...

what others might think about me doesn't bother me...
only what my family and close friends think matters.

not to mention that judging a person only from his appearance doesn't make sense.
you should only judge a person by his actions more than anything else.

I don't think I'm a nerd...although people would say my class in high school was full of nerds since it's the top class and there're plenty of muggers there. I would automatically be considered one but eh...I don't really mug? >.> And in poly, in my current class, there're almost no social statuses being pinned among us, which I heard is quite rare since most classes would be split into the 'popular clique', the 'followers' and the 'social outcasts'.

If I had to decide...I'd think I am in the middle range between popular and, uh, not popular. Leaning more towards popular I guess.

lul, idk. no obvious labels like that over here. I pretty much get along with anyone, I'm that annoying kid that sits in the back and talks and makes lame jokes through the whole class, that is when I'm not sleeping. I rarely talk unless someone talks to me first, and im VERY passive and im alone almost all the time. I guess i cant be concidered anti-social since lots of people say hi to me, most of them i dont even know their names but wth! they know mine xD

Something that pisses me off, I talk to ask for something and everyone's like, "OMG! He talked!" and im like, "fuk u" >_< Or when a girl talks to me and then, the unebitable question, "...why you so quiet?" argh! seriously, i've been asked this question tons of times, at least they are girls... cant complain much...

10-08-2007, 03:28 AM
Well, I'm not sure about my classification. I guess it depends on who I'm with. In one place, I'm very passive, following orders obediently without question and just a tad pathetic-looking and always with that drowsy look in my eye. However, the anime club members regard me as their fearless leader, and whenever I'm with my anime people I tend to be way more talkative. I'm the one with the twisted sense of humor and the really dorky personality.

To others, the way I dress gives off a professional, very serious impression, even coming off as a teacher to some. But, to my friends, they know I only dress that way because I like the fact that I stole the professional look and made it casual.

I'm not so sure about what I am as far as labels go, but I proudly call myself a nerd.

When I was in school I was "uniquely different", I could associate with anyone, was the secret keeper to more than a few, I could have been considered popular by them because of the way I was personallity wise...But I was also one that they were afraid of because I was unique, outspoken, and very difficult to push around.

Everyone at my school thinks that im a major nerd that never goes out/does any club activities. I find that pretty funny tbh.

I train volleyball + self training almost everyday. So bleh, I dont really care about peoples opinions...they can think what they want.

Don't give two shits about my Social Status, I don't talk much get straight A's and play games alot, I'd be classified as a Geek or a nerd but it's not like it's something I should kill myself over, people need to get over themselves.

Well Kenji, everyone has a different opinion on whether they care about social status. I personally don't care. If I had a social status, it would probably be the 'drifter' because I was constantly going between groups. I knew everyone in my grade and was friendly to all of them because I act the way I want to be treated. People may not have liked me but hey, I'm over getting hurt because of it. I liked talking, although sometimes I'd prefer to be alone, some people say I'm smart or just random but I don't mind.

Very true everyone has an Idea if they care or not, but it shouldn't be much of a big deal. Especially in High School, everyone is labeled but afterwards it'll just go away kind of like a dream, you have it and you may not remember it when you try to.

there were

Goths ( self explanitory)
Moshers (skaters and ppl like that) O:

I'm a nerd. A HUGE NERD. For one, I like anime and read mangas (but so does everyone else here) and that is not a socially acceptable thing to do at my school. I read alot and am a naturally quiet person. I didn't find enough courage to make a friend until 5th grade. So most people pass me off as "the quiet loner girl with no feelings" and they view me as the subject of rumors and bad gossip. But I'm used to it, that's how it's been for as long as I can remember. And personally, I like it better this way. Who wants to have to hold up an "image?" It seems like alot of work to me.

the groups down here are a bit different to others

there were

Chav's (counsil house and viloence)
Emo's (we all know what they are ;P but more to do with the style)
Goths ( self explanitory)
Moshers (skaters and ppl like that) O:
Norms... (normal ppl; ppl without a group) ;p
and so on and if i was to class myself in any of those groups it would have to be norm/emo'ish

Got some of that up here in Japan (excluding chavs), and are commonly

Norms: Basically the friends of just about everyone, and tend to get along with most people. Just about the best people to be around.

Gangstas/Wankstas: To be honest, not all of the Black people are included in this category. A lot of the so called gangstas are actually wankstas, who don't know crap about what the real life is really like. Some act loud and "hardcore" in public to gain attention, but some other people get annoyed at it.

Asians: Okay not exactly a group, but we really make up a lot of the school, due to the fact that they're so many of us around. Our category is mostly Half-Asians, Japanese, and Filipinos with a few Koreans and Chinese thrown in. We're pretty much liked around school, and we're in almost every other group.

Punks/Skaters: Pretty cool people, who don't really get themselves in deep shit around here, unless they're freshman :p. The skaters aren't cocky b*stards without any respect, but some are decent people who do well in classes and are easy to talk with. Sometimes are in bands. The punks are unique and funny people, who are kind of like the norms, considering the fact that they have friends in other groups.

Basically, I'd put myself under Normal/Asian if I had to choose.

School's in Australia hardly class anyone.

They are all equal except...

We have the smart's and the normal's.

Yep intelligence is praised at schools.

The smarter you are, the more you are admired.

Or as such. :)

I'm a nerd, emo, poser and even a "gangster" to some.

Just because I read books, don't talk to anyone whom I deem not worth talking to, dress up like hip-hop and ride a bike while I smoke despite my age doesn't mean I follow a *******... "concept" or whatever they call it.

I'm being myself. End of story.

Definitely in the anti-social, weird nerd group.

I was only anti-social in high school because my school is full of girls I don't like and the only one I really shared common interests with wasn't at school as often as I would've liked her to be.

Weird? Well, I am weird. My personality changes as often as I change my socks, which is a lot. I'm never the same for more than a day. People never know what to expect from me. I'm very random and quite dramatic. I don't like 'normal' things and take great interest in different things. So yeah, I'm weird.

Nerd - obvious. Not to sound like I'm bragging or anything, but I am intelligent. Though, I do lack a lot of common sense and most of the time I say really stupid things without thinking. But I do have the potential to do great things with my life and could probably change the world...in some tiny way... Too make things more prominent, I wear glasses, which defines me. Typical nerd. However, I don't wear pigtails :p I used to when my hair was longer... o.o

Anyway, that's me... Well, to some degree.

Otherwise, I'm tagged upon as an elitist and emo since I PICK my friends, rather than do the other way around. But in actuality, they don't talk to me, so I don't talk to them. What's the big deal? >_>

Otherwise, they know me as someone not to mess with due to my temper. But people know I'm generally approachable...

I kinda flip flopped during highschool.
Freshman year I was one of the "cool" kids (not to be confused with preppy) we had all kinds of crazy parties and the seniors would ask for invites to them. But most of those people were too fake...

Sophomore-Junior I was a total loner, I was completely depressed and I really don't remember most of those two years... I set with the "losers" because I sat by myself for a long time after I left the cool group and they kept begging me to hang out with them so I wouldn't be alone. So I did, but I mostly just ate my lunch in silence and then laid my head down and stared at the table for the rest of lunch lol.

Senior year I had gotten over most of the depression and I was the kid who hung out with EVERYONE, it didn't matter if they were geek, prep, emo, jock w/e.

Now that I'm in college I talk to everyone, there really isn't "groups" anymore, it's nice.

I spent the better part of my life classified as a nerd. It's not something I'm ashamed of though =P. So what if I care about my grades xD? That however, does not mean I'm distant or anything of that sort. I've got tons of friends, some of whom would gladly do anything for me and, I for them. Jokes come by as part of my persona, so it's not odd at all if you find yourself laughing when I'm trying to describe something I went through. To my friends, I'm a karma advisor of sorts; below the seemingly shallow goofball persona that I display when we're all together is a deep thoughtful person willing to listen to their problems. I have been the mediator between my friends several times, whenever they fought or got into trouble with some big shot because of that.

Early in high school I was just the smart new kid that hung out in the hallways instead of eating and didn't talk much.
When I moved back to my old school for my Senior year (this year), I brought my sense of sarcasm with me to school and so I'm now the Smart-Egotistical-Sarcastic-Kick-you-butt-at-Halo-while-not-having-to-study-for-class guy. I basically just make sarcastic comments when given the chance and pass my tests (yay for the grading system working to my advantage). Outside of school not much has changed though.

I was the kind of guy everyone hated. Basically, I did no work and still got good marks. Especially in IT, I spent the whole final year distracting others instead of working myself, then got highest in my class :P Since my school was selective entry, everyone was really really smart, so among nerds, I was geekish. there were the hyper nerds that would study all the time, but I was more the openly racist, obnoxious asshole that spent most of his time in the IT labrotories which kind of puts me into a different category. Not quite sure how I managed to avoid being beaten up the whole time, I guess it's just my killer personality, kind of how I get away trolling this whole forum, oh wait, I own this place :P Being all nerds, it made being a nerd easier, ahh good times. I will miss them now I have graduated.

Like describing me....

But now i'm in college/university so the "nerd factor" is gone now (actually, it was even gone in highschool, because half of my hg had really good grades).
The people, from Primary School, that used to tease me for having better grades, are now studying all the time just to keep up with their classes at c/u (obviously, they're not used to studying regularly)... hehe, it's fun now when i'm the one doing the teasing :toocool:

I was in the upper-middle class. I never wanted to be one of the really popular kids. I had enough rep to be known, but not gossiped about. And that's how I wanted it. I was called the sexy dork by most people, jokingly of course. :whatevah:

I suppose I was one of the artsy people. I was in choir, speech(think theatre w/o costumes and props), art, theatre, that type of stuff. Most people knew who I was but didn't know much about me. I was probably 'Ya know, Allison, that chick with the waist length hair? Yea, her.'

Overall I got along with most people if they made the effort to be nice.

I'm well known as the unknown. The people that I talk to and hold closely as friends know me well enough, though, if you say me in a crowd, I'd look like someone who would be addicted to fighting. I look rough, kind of.

Espically now that I have my lip pierced and now that I straighten my hair. I look like an Emo now.

It's really funny. I can't be categorized. Every time you'd try, I'd come to school wearing a different type of clothing. I dress Gangsta', Emo, Skater, and Preppy. Isn't that hilarious? I love making fun of the typical teenager classes.

I'm the most mixed up person ever :) -
I'm one of the most popular people at my school - I'm also partly a nerd - I get A's in class and hang with smart people, but I dress in gangster clothing - hang around with gangsta sort of people out of school.
In school I'm with everyone though, all the different "groups" know me and the girls love me. What more could I want eh :P

I would describe myself as the kinda popular geek. At least now. On the school I want to before I was teased because I had good grades. So I was kinda a loner, but I kinda liked it that way. I've always been a bit of a loner. would have been better withou the teasing though:P And I was way uglier then than I am now : p

Now I guess I am as I said, the popular geek. I blend well with everyone, but not too well cause those people almost makes me vomit sometimes. So I try to keep my distance. So I'm glad I have my own group of friends that are great. Although I have to help them with homework all the time =.=. I wouldnt describe myself as a nerd, cause I don't study much, but I'm still one of those with best grades In my class, and I love video games, anime, manga, computer games. So I think I'm more of a geek.
Thereof the "popular" geek =) That would rather not hang out with the "popular" people.

I tend to be the really likeable guy, sometimes popular without knowing I'm popular. Already in my new school I've been assorted to the 'popular' people XD. But I'm just very 'chilled' or laid back and funny - guess more or less extremely likeable to most people (just probably because I respect almost everybody).

Guess sometimes I'm the "Asian Dude" or the "Popular Smart Guy"; funny thing is, I don't hang with the 'popular' peoples, lol.. And this I've been to more High Schools than anyone else on this board XP.

But hey, I don't care if I'm called a Nerd, just I have yet to be called one :( - I actually prefer it, because I am smart and I can be pretty estudious. I guess the word Nerd has a negative connotation explaining that NERD = Complete Geek Who Has No Life.

I'm a Well-Liked-Nerd. "I think I am, therefor I am, am I?"

i got into the Honors section [each batch has 2 honors sections together with the rest of the (loser lol) regular sections] because i did well the year before that. and...well...yeah. i got higher marks than those who were already in the Honors section before me, even though I joined the drama club [which makes me go home at 9pm almost every day], went to Japan for three weeks [which doesn't exempt me from anything despite being an "exchange student"] and etc. lol.

i'm not in the "popular group" of our batch, but i am friends with most of them. nice guys, really. they just smoke weed too much.

other labels for me:

"that guy likes anime"
"that guy likes japanese music"
"that guy likes to draw"
"why is that guy getting higher grades than I am?"
"that guy is wearing a jacket even though it's so hot."

ad infinitum. :P

I'd say I'm average/Nerdy/Semi-popular guy.

I'm not really into hanging out with one group of people, like I have some friends who are total geeks, some who are gangsta (BS they think they are xD), and just other people like me. I mean I get straight A's in class, yet I can't shut up, and for about 3/4 of the time spent in my classes is me sketching and listening to my MP3 player. The teachers actually let me use it because they know I'm a good student. And by Semi-popular, I'm probably known by about a little under 1/2 of the other people, be it "Hacker" or "The DDR guy" or just (The one I like to be called) "Jonathan".

Hacker... that has a bit of a history behind it. But I'm not going to mention it since it's too long.
DDR Guy, well I can play those really hard Dragonforce songs on Stepmania so people tend to stand behind me and attract a crowd.
Jonathan... my name, nothing special here.

I'm not really sure what I would be considered amongst friends now. I've been through various stages.

In my primary school I was 'cool' and I had a lot of respect
In my secondary school I was considered a 'skater' then an 'emo'. Then I was considered normal and quite 'popular' or 'cool'.
Now I don't go to school...I guess that I'm considered normal now? (I'm not particulary normal lol). Surprisingly enough, I've never been considered a nerd.

Categories don't mean anything to me really. And never have done. I've never had a major urge to hang about with the 'popular crowd'. I've stuck with my friends and other people come and go. That's just how life goes. My friends could be categorised into many groups and they're all different.

Im the Therapist/Advice Giver/Semi-Popular/Semi-Nerdy/Denying Asianism guy.

wow,

in a brief summary i am good at giving advice espcially social ones people always go to me for help in their life and i do give good advice heres my card. Recently this year because i own at Xbox Live video games i am now semi-popular but what downs me is my lack of being white and good at sports. I am semi-nerdy for i am friends with Asian people espcially Raymond the weirdest kid in the whole damn school. I also sit at the popular table. Unfortuanlly i dont follow these kids in a group so usually i stay quiet and laugh at everything just to "blend in". Denying Asianism is serious people keep saying "Arent you chinese? Hey how do you say hi in chinese"? "Shut up you damn asian'" FOR THE LAST GODDAMN TIME PEOPLE IM NOT ASIAN, OR WHITE, OR ARAB, OR BLACK!! GAWD!

well i guess that makes me the advice giver guy who is able to make friends with people who didnt choose to be an enemy of me at first impression. Though i am quiet in some classes and i am also weak and bad at sports gawd i need to start lifting, UGH!! LAZYNESS WEIGHTING ME DOWN! -you gets the poninte?

I really don't know what social status I would fit under. I'm a mixture of many, I suppose. I guess if you want to throw me under a social ranking, I suppose I would be "The Girl Who Doesn't Give A Damn."

I am considered funny to most of my friends and also some of the popular kids, though saying i am popular is going to far, i think i am a sort of nerd/hilarious person so thats how most people see me.

When I was in high school I was pretty much invisible. I went to a small high-school, where everyone had been friends since like kindergarten (except me) so I was pretty much always the new guy. I just listened to music a lot, still do actually.

^ I completely understand where you're coming from.

I used to move every 1/2 to 2 years and no one wanted another friend, because they already had theirs ever since kindergarten. But I found a couple of kids I fit into, and hilarity ensued xD.
I miss those guys.

I'd like to add, that I'm also an advice person also. People like to come to me to help them with problems. Even though they just want to hear what THEY want to hear, I still try. But yeah, I get more people due to references from people I've helped in the past, which is nice. Except I get no community hours for doing it D:

I hear ya Kenji. I still have a few people that I keep in contact with on a regular basis. I'm an advice giver too, except I can never seem to take some of my own advice..if that makes any sense haha.

^^ I hear ya both, but I went to 2 different schools during my hs career, in the one where my mom lived I wasn't anything special and the one were my dad lived the school had social status but it only applied when the group decided to show "dominance" usually one of the sports teams or cheerleader groups, but if I classified myself it would have been with the freaks of the school because we definitely weren't normal.

I was in the "prep" classification I. I wore Abercrombie and Hollister stuff (still do) and was friends with a lot of people. But I wasn't some stuck up a$$. You don't really appreciate high school until it's gone. Then you miss it haha.

We had a whole separate 'class' for gamers at my HS. I was one of the people in my school that showed everybody that gamers aren't nerds...nerds have better grades.

I did have friends with most groups though, except the jocks. Hated those egotistical punks.

Well I'm called 2 things: a freak and a vampire. All because I have some (for some) a bit weird habits...
But for real... I'm mostly an outcast. By choice.

I was definitely in several categories, In my year book i won the flirtiest title. I was also a basketball player a damn good one too until i got hurt. But i watched Star Trek with my dad and i loved star wars and i loved the xfiles which was a big deal at that time. So i got along with everyone because i could relate to em. I even hung out with the so called goth kids because i like Marilyn manson and all that crap. I could dance salsa and merengue so i always had a mixed crowd of friends around from the Jocks to the geeks. Though looking back at it i think alot of people were friends with me cause they wanted to be more cool or they didnt want to get picked on by the jocks by being friends with me.

I honestly don't know since we don't do much stereotyping (?) here. But I'd have to say that I'm on the +known side, meaning practically everyone knows me and my name. Even primary kids (4-10/11) and that's kinda freaky. I'm also something of an advice giver, although not willingly, and people tend to come to me with their problems. Oh secondary sucks.

lol social status? those are only determind by the jocks the geeks and whores, and the gay/lesbo people. your social status is what you want it to be, the only different is, are you going to let some one else tell you how you live your so called 4 years of high school lives?

umm i was definitly not the nerd ,too lazy too do homework ,never study, but got good grades, known but not well known, quiet didn't say much to ppl,im not the type to introduce myself or give greetings first they'll have to make the first attempt, but when im around ppl i know i can be loud and annoying (and didn't care of what ppl thought of me ) in which i love more then anything,i just love annoying ppl.so yeah ppl know me but not well,i keep my friends to a minimum, had 1 best friend always, the rest associates so i really don't know where i stand, somewhere in the middle i guess.

Let's see >.>

I dunno. All I know is that I'm unique and I don't stand out. I might stand out sometimes but not everyday xD

I'm just that normal kid who's funny, maintaining my grades and interacting with people xD

You know that guy that just about everyone has knows whether or not he knows them? yeah thats me.:toocool: i get picked out of a crowd often and by people i dont remember.:eek13: dont know if i stand out all that much (dont have any radical style, just jeans and t shirts) or if my reputation is like that, it certainly is wierd though. i always seem to fit into the groups because i always have a friend there. cowboys, freaks, jocks, nerds, normies, whoever...

but if i were to classify myself i would probably be a freak. im somewhat outrageous around friends and i like karate and running around and hitting my buddies a random intervals in public whether or not anybody is watching.:Haha

I would have to say that I was one of those "good students" I also participated in Choir and Cheerleading. I wasn't popular with the so called "popular" kids but I didn't care. I had a good group of friends and we didn't care if we were considered popular.

From what I can remember I was a class clown, I got straight A's, but always in detention for pointing out things and correcting the teachers. I hate to admit it and hope my children don't see this, but I was a bad girl when in school, coming from a small town everyone knew everyone, there were social groups but I never really stuck to just one, I hung out with everyone....

eh.. I'd have to say there's not much classification that I fit into (me and my sister are similar though our strengths are different).

I was never much good with grades, have ADHD, but I'm a supreme problem solver and probably know more about computers than most ppl you've ever met, but I'm not much of a nerd unless computers is your only classification. I enjoy things such as Linux, and hacking which is on Windows and Linux systems.

I'm extremely athletic and love doing sports that appeal to my adrenaline (motocross, snowboarding, need i say more?) and as a kid I grew up playing soccer, baseball, and whatnot. Oddly enough roller coasters scare me because I'm afraid of heights but thats not an issue with motocross because I'm the one in control. That being said I hate to ride roller coasters and don't. I've never played a sport for my high school but I was in the high school band (I'm a drummer).

I'm good and horrible in relationships and know how to please women but somehow always fall short somewhere. I've concluded that I reveal too much about myself too quickly (whether it be sexual, or personality, or even with my activities/past) and that they continue through the relationship always expecting the "bar to be raised" and there's a certain point where I, as a mere mortal, can't go further to impress. So eventually it gets stale I s'pose (either for me or her). Don't worry thought I'm working on that.

So for me I'm not a geek, nerd, jock, or anything. I've kinda always had my own style and don't follow trends well. Hell I've been wearing converse shoes since middle school before they got popular again which annoys me b/c now the prices for them are through the roof!

So if I were to classify myself I'd say I'm punk at heart/attitude, nerd with jokes, geek with computers, jock with sports, and have always been a one track mind that is bad with following trends and even paying attention during class. *grins* Don't be afraid tho, I won't bite ;)

According to starfire* I'm a medium XD

hmmm, i don't really like labelling myself but; here goes, i was never a nerd etc(not really smart enough) but i got on with all of them - one followed me to the toilet once- different story ;) i'm in a few sport teams, i go to the practises with my friends and get on with everyone there... i don't know many people who don't like me, i'm just the kind of person who walks down the corridor with a group of mates and stops to say hi to the people i meet on my travels :D
