Kaida and Joey go up to what would be only the first of many booths to visit. The bulky, ripped man in his healthy 30's greets them with a smile.

In attempt to impress Kaida, Joey gladly offers the man ten coins, and starts flexing his muscles, although really not that impressive.

Kaida giggles at Joey's display. "Ooooo" she says coyly. "Goodluck."

[since Joey isn't physically that strong, he first needs to overcome the difficulty in picking up the heavy hammer. this will require at least 12 on a 1d20.]

"If you don't pick up the hammer this time, I'm going to have to say game over." the man of the booth says. Joey closes his eyes to try again [with the haxxed Cheer upgrade]

"Wull, that was certainly better than your last attempt." the man at the booth says. "Would you like to try again?"

Joey shakes his head, with a half smile. "No thanks."

She grabs the ladies hammer from the rack, moving her hands to a comfortable position.
she takes a wide stance and makes her first attempt.

You lift the hammer with much more considerable force than Joey, and the hammer raises off the ground for a moment. The man nods, and says.

"You're getting there. Try again."

Joey looks at you with awe, giving you +7 on your next attempt. [score must be 12 or above to succeed.]

slightly bummed she didn't get it her first try she looks around. Joey's face exuding an awe of adoration of her performance. She blushes slightly and turns back to the game, inspired she goes again.

Joey looks on in quiet, but momentous shock, as he utters, "Wow."

"Ohhh," she grabs him by the arm, shaking him to get his atention, "come on Joey. Lets go pick out our prize!"

The man still is unable to believe what happened, but smiles.

"Well, the original prize was 50 gold, but I've never seen such a display of strength. I've been saving this for a long time..."

Rummaging through his storage, he finds a large wooden mallet, painted dark red with big yellow stars on both ends, and intricate patterns on both sides.

"This is yours." he says. He pauses and adds, "Use it to fend off all the boys."
He winks at Joey, and whispers, "You are lucky to have her on your side."

{Kaida has earned: 50 gold, Hammer}

"I rarely get out of the pool, of course we're going on the roller coaster"

Joey takes her arm, and heads merrily to the roller coaster. His face beams with a heightened joy, as if he is living a second childhood.

The woman at the booth says "That will be 10 coins for the both of you. Valentines special."

Joey gladly pays her.

{Joey now has 70 coins.}

The woman at the booth then blurts, "You two make such a lovely couple."
