All I have to say is start tracing for a bit. It will help you get the basic feel of how a shape on a character should be. It's not garbage, but it's definitely not the Mona Lisa.

why didn't you just look at a wallpaper or other fan art for the chest tattoos? its a good start just make him more detailed, don't make it over detailed. you should be able to figure out whats cool. :toocool:
