Has anyone read this Sci-fi manga? I heard it was pretty good and the art looks nice. So it got me interested in it.
Its awesome, atleast I found it awesome.
Thou, I think the start is really tricky, you would expect something totally different then what it will become.
But still its amazingly interesting, and its world picture is awesome too.
But I just can't get over Helena's death, and the fact that Eliah and her broke up and shiz, she was my love in this manga, even thou she had an artificial ear, and a glass eyeball since the middle, she was also a prostitute for life...and she also died in a totally uninteresting way after so much developement, I guess I like it more when people die before they fulfill their roles lol

One can't find a manga as complex and as sophisticated as this one, for a sci-fi manga with the typical future negative utopia of a plot going on, it really sticks out. Eden: it's An Endless World (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eden:_It%27s_an_Endless_World) is decorated with a nice set of characters, each individual having/possessing a talent extremely useful for battle. For example, Sophia with her high-speed hacking skills, enabling herself to decode and diffuse missile pathways/targets, Kenji, a swift soldier specialized in stealth operations (his knife-work is pretty damn good). I would describe more but I don't want to spoil anything. I would describe the real main character, but I'm too lazy. Here's a synopsis:
n the near future, a deadly virus throws the world into crisis, causing countless deaths and drastic political changes. Among the survivors are a boy and a girl, Enoah and Hannah, who are somehow immune to the virus. With the rest of the world wiped out or gone into hiding, they might as well have been the last people on earth... Fast-forward twenty years to a world in ruins. A teenager named Elijah tries to survive in what was once South America. Accompanied by a battle robot, Elijah joins a renegade group of freedom fighters trying to cross the Andes. Standing in their way is Propater, an organization that gained world dominance during the virus outbreak. Propater's military presence seems overwhelming, but Elijah's notorious parentage might just come in useful...
I found this wonderful manga Here (http://thespectrum.net/manga_scans/?preview=manga_Eden). however it's on a rotating schedule, therefore you won't find the first few volumes until the designated date given in the site.
Hehe, your finding the mangas on my Good list one by one :P
Eden is great, I would love it to be finished, after a certain twist in the plot I've put it on hold so it would accumulated a bigger part of the story, (monthly releases :( ) but I guess it would be ok to start reading it again after so much time, though, now I don't have time for it.
Its a GO from me :P

aw it's still going? and monthly published?! I don't want another Claymore...lol (Claymore was the first manga I read which was published monthly. I read Berserk but I started on chapter 1 half a year ago and I know Berserk has gone on for, a decade right? either way I stopped reading it after a while)
I just finished the volume where they explained Kenji's past. Now he's my favorite character. I am a little angry about the people who died in the first few volumes D: . I mean I actually liked them...but they died....just like that
Well thats how it goes in the seinen anime world, the people you like die, and the story is slow thx to monthly releases.
But in fact, in Eden the thing that gave me the worst feelings wasn't a character's death (or, to be in fact, the character did die at the time, but that wasnt what made me sad).
I think you'll know what was I talking about here if you get there.
Berserk is as old as myself with its 20 years, but even if it doesn't catch you, it worth continuing even for just the art. :)
Though, I don't know how it ain't hooks you, unless you stopped before the Eclipse.

I stopped a bunch of chapters after the eclipse...but well. Hm I don't know where I can find more Eden Chapters. I'm looking it up in google. But the fact that it's monthly makes me want to stop...srly now I hate waiting.

Hehe, I remember I made a thread about this manga awhile back.
I was interested in checking out but havn't found any chapters so far.
The concept of shounen is actually pretty new to me because I have only been exposed to it by Bleach so far. All of my other anime/manga has been like Ghost in the shell, Berserk, Witch Hunter Robin, etc.
Only other really action packed ive seen is like Trigun and Cowboy Bebop but I dont think you can really call that shonen.
Umm, Eden is seinen aswell, not shonen. Aswell as Cowboy Bepop, and so-so Trigun.
Is the thread still here? I don't seem to find it.

I didn't mean Eden was shonen, sorry about that.
The Thread is called Eden and its like on the 3rd or 4th page I beleive. It's there I just looked for it and found it.
Funny thing I forgot, even that I was the only poster in it. :)
Anyway merged them for now, if one of you wants some changes done tell me in pm.
(atleast my spoiler is in now :) )
