Kanzaki sits on the ground looking at sky as he waits for his opponent to reveal... herself.

A WOMAN! He yells, his voice reverberating against the walls of the Academy.

What sort of treachery is this. Kanzaki knew that in the battlefield, fighting a woman could be inevitable, but for simply practice? It is an insult to his abilities. Kanzaki tried not dwindle on needless details, being forced to fight a girl is an insult, but LOSING to a girl... that is an even larger insult. With his mind's eye, he envisions the battle.

Thick Glasses, thin body, disproportionate... lets just say disproportionate. She is not a physical fighter, by any standard. I saw her practicing forms, she struggled swinging a simple sword. So what does this mean? She uses Kidou. I have never encountered Kidou before. How formidable is it? I'll simply need to grab the upper hand quickly.

He closes his eyes and begins to nap.

Haha, I got the brute. Clearly, he's never seen anyone fight like I usually do...rather, not fight, just win. I've got a feeling that this won't take very long. I mean, if he even does get close enough to hit me, I'll still...take care of him. After all, it's not like he's going to hit me or anything...I can already envision exactly how the battle is going to happen, and I haven't even started yet. I'll attack and move away, he'll try to flash step close to me, I'll move away and attack, he'll come towards me again, I'll hit him again. It won't be terribly difficult, I'll have more of a problem fighting those stupid hollows than a brutish lout like him...

I smiled as I thought of this man. I mean, he didn't even look that good...the ugly ones always lose. Smiling and turning to him, I gave him a little wink and said:

So, then, should we get this started? I'm already bored.

ARE YOU GOiNG TO MOVE?!

Shinomori

I decided to take the initiative. He'd never catch me - after all, I'm just as fast as he is. If I move first...then I'll be able to escape his attack range while still being able to attack him. He can't take that advantage away...

So then, might as well start this. The whole violence thing, not exactly my favorite sort of business. But oh well, it's what has to be done, I guess.

I quickly ready my first spell as I prepare to beat a hasty retreat. I won't survive long in melee range...maybe I'll try to slow him down.

Here. Try this one on for size. I'll take it easy on you - if I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead by now.

I form a ball of reiatsu in my hand. As it swirls, I wonder to myself - how is he going to take this? I hope it doesn't hurt too much...I'd hate to ruin him so early on in academy training.

Take this!

((I auto fail. LOL))

Kanzaki still lay on the ground as the encroaching blast started its path. Immediately, he attempts to jump out of the way. He has no time to avoid. The blast strikes Kanzaki mid-torso. Only retaining the ability to move his eyes and eyelids, he stares angrily at a woman who cowardly attacked him while still on the ground.

Little bitch

Kanzaki attempts to break from his bodily bind but to no avail. Almost giving up, he decides to watch Aria's movement with the utmost attention.

Kanzaki still lay on the ground as the encroaching blast started its path. Immediately, he attempts to jump out of the way. The blast just barely misses the end of Kanzaki's body, the echo of the blast causing his leg to lose feeling.

Cowardly whore.

Brushing off grass, dirt, sand, or whatever may have clinged onto his uniform, Kanzaki pauses for a moment to allow the gravity of her mistake to fully set in.

I hope you know you die now.

He advances on Aria, clenching his fist tightly.

Movement: 0

Kanzaki moves in and strikes at the back of her neck, hoping to simply knock her out, and not cause any devastating damage.

So then, I guess it's time to beat this fool. The first attack was just a warning to him - a reminder of how lucky he would be to try and defeat me. The fact that it missed was no small surprise, but I had already planned for this possibility. Every fight is like a web. To the untrained eye, the possibilities seem endless, but with training comes ability. To me, they appear more as a branching tree. Each branch gives rise to more branches, each of which is a possibility. One simply has to follow the branch, choosing the most favorable possibilities where possible in order to gain success. Of course, there was a 99.3% chance I was going to win this anyway, and I calculated this from the stance of his fighting, the movement abilities as determined from his legs, his mental capacity as -

In my hastiness, I almost forgot to dodge his attack. Sidestepping quickly, I smile as he hits nothing but air.

Did you forget?

I told you that your victory was impossible.

I tire. You lose now.

I guess I'll put just enough power into this one to knock him out...it'll make it a little easier for him to dodge it, but does it really matter? If he dodges, I'll dodge again, and then try again. His loss is already assured.

There's a 70% chance you won't even feel much from this. Because you'll be unconscious. Ideally, I'd have a larger one, but that branch is not yet open to one such as myself.

Now then.

Victory is far from impossible, my friend. He says staring at Aria straight in the eye.

This woman is quite formidable.

Still in melee range, he strikes at the back of her neck once again.

((Due to Shino being gone for the weekend and the fact that I'm sure the other students want to do things, I will roll a d2 to see who wins this fight. Ryuuken win = 1, Shinomori win = 2.))

[roll0]

Aria wins.

Aria gains 20 experience (5*2 = 10*2 [4 Resolve] = 20).
Kanzaki gains 8 experience (2*2 = 4*2 [4 Resolve] = 8).
