This is indeed when Kimimaro was alive and healthy , so ... Kimimaro
Why? : Kimimaro could counter Sasori's puppets with his Bone Sword , also , if he used that bone that he used against Gaara's shield , he could break through anything that tries to attack him and also wham Sasori with it , also , if Sasori was using Hirako , it would break through it and probably kill him with it :P

I would say Sasori.

He has a good range of puppets that would give him the upper hand.If Kimmimaro gets close though Sasori is a goner.

Sasori of course LOLS.. come on he is kage lvl.. he can beat the 99% of those in naruto. Dont think him as weak cause he lost to sakura and chiyo... They had sasori-anti-abilities :/...

Sasori has many moves that he can pull out of his bag. Pretty much his whole battle tactic is too weaken his opponent via poison. So he would easily poison Kimmimaro and finish the final blow. It would be a tough battle though.

kimimaro was at most jounin level...Or maybe a little stronger...But still sasori is WAY to strong to be beaten by him. I mean he can anyone ( and i mean anyone ) if he hits him even ONCE. Unless he has a ghey-ass antitode..

This is not debatable, even if Kimimaro was fully healthy Sasori defeated the strongest Kazekage and Sasori is also a S-ranked criminal. You can line him up probably with the Sannins.

Kimimaro die from his illness, even Gaara's sand wasn't capable to crash him, so I don't think that Sasori's puppet are capable too... and Kimimaro have enough bones to crash Sasori...

^^ Whether Kimimaro had a illness, Sasori would still beat him. All of Sasori's attacks are poisonous. Sasori wouldn't even try that hard to beat him. Theres not much to say. Sasori takes this.

Gaara was taken out by a non-full power Deidara, so comparing Gaara and Sasori isn't a great counter.

But Sasori is godly and has tons of techniques involving poison, so that one scratch or breath can kill. He also has the 3rd Kazekage puppet which could spam some powerful-ass attacks.

He also is essentially immortal if he can hold on to his heart.

sassori would win due to poisen attacls... and long range attacks .. kimmi is powerful yes but if he messes up once he dies ..

Kimmimaro would die from being poisoned. He wouldn't be able to dodge all of the poison needles at once, and he can't block it with his tail in his CS2 form because then he would be poisoned.
And if he wasn't going to be poisoned, the third kazekage puppet would be enough to win with his iron manipulation.

Kimmimaro would have a slight chance of winning if he somehow got close to Sasori and hit him in his heart. But that would be difficult..

So Sasori wins.

Poison > brute force. Thus, Sasori wins. Kimimaro isn't fast enough to get past 100 puppets and kill Sasori before being poisoned.

I think that Kimimaro would stand a very good chance. His attacks are unlike any others, and he has a very wide striking range. Up close, he would dominate Sasori so bad that it would be utterly disgusting. Though, at a far-ranged battle, Sasori has more projectile weapons, because he is a coward, so he would have a clearer advantage.

I say that it is undecidable.

Sasori vs. Kimimaru in melee would still go to Sasori. First of all, I don't even think Kimi can break through Hiraku to the real Sasori(where is heart lies). And while Kimi's trynna break in, there's 100 puppets lined up waiting for him while Sasori is wailing out his razor sharp poisonous tail.

Rofl, this battle is really unfair.

Sasori can one hit kill kimimaro and has the range advantage.

Kimimaro might be pretty tough, taking into account that he survived Gaara's sandburial, but he really can't defeat Sasori without a scratch. GG Kimimaro.

Kimimaro has speed over Sasori, and in close-range, Kimimaro can rape Sasori. Rough, fast, and throughly.

Plus, he has moves which can counter ranged-attacks, such as his bone-needle things and some of the Dances.

It's a dead debate unless we see it happen in the anime, which, is impossible.

All Kimimaro supporters happen to leave out the fact that Sasori can easily poison Kimimaro. The only thing Kimimaro has going for him is that he won't die to crushing, physical blows (i.e. Gaara and Lee's attacks), which is negated by poison. Kimimaro isn't Lee-like in speed, and even if he was he could not win without getting a scratch against puppets with in-human movements.

The only real way I see Kimmimaro posing a real threat is if he could make a shell of armor out of his bones. I know he builds up bones underneath his skin to protect vitals, but if a poisoned senbon breaks the skin, he still bleeds, meaning he's still poisoned. I could be wrong about his bones not preventing bleeding though. If so, Kimmimaro can destroy Hiruko...I just don't know how long he'll be able to last against true-Sasori.

Likewise, I'm certainly not saying Sasori is uber either. The only reason anyone is so positive he's one of the higher ranked Akatsuki is because of his poison. Just like Itachi, his fighting ability takes a nosedive when his greatest strength goes AWOL.

Uhm Sasori's tail can follow him in midair just fine. And if it was melee what could he do? Kimimaru does not have amazing super strength like Sakura to force the real Sasori out.

And Kimimaru isn't agile enough to stop 100 puppets, each with poisoned weapons. And who ever said Sasori is weak in the close combat. He kind of proved against Kankuro that even if they were able tog et close to him, he has hidden poison darts, random knives that pop out and while you're being preoccupied with those his tail moves in and finishes you.

Sasori is the kage lvl Shinobi who took over a whole country by himself. A petty Jounin level ninja with curse seal isn't going to stop him.

But don't forget how agile Kimimaro is. Remember when he continuously dodged Gaara's attack while in MID AIR? Eventually he got hit, but, Sasori's attacks wouldn't follow him. Sasori has weaponry-based lone-range attacks, which, can be, easily dodged.
Like I said, deeeaaddddd eennddddd debate.

he may be able to dodge attacks, sasori's poison is not limited to just scratching him. What happens when a cloud of poison engulfs kimimaro? and on the subject about sasori being a coward? how do you figure that, because he doesn't fight head on that makes him a coward? i don't think so. Any smart fighter would fight in a way that best fits their style, sasori is a long range fighter so he fights from a distance and keeps himself concealed. He knows his weaknesses and protects them. I wouldn't say that is cowardly....... more intelligent than anything. Why fight an opponent in their fighting style....

Kimimaro is already fighting with a deadly disease. Anyways, it isn't hard to hold your breath for two seconds while running through a cloud of poison, and it isn't hard to dodge projectiles, as they wouldn't following him at all.

These projectiles are continuously fired and they can come from different directions.

I assume Sasori will be in his Hiruko suit. His tail was useless because Chiyo used her strings but since its Sasori vs. Kimimaro, theres nothing that can stop his tail. Not to mention that even a tiny scratch is enough to kill you. Kimimaro's curse seal won't be able to help him on this one. What if Hiruko breaks? Third Kazakage and the Iron Sand technique. Kimimaro beated the Third Kazekage, what now? Final form of Sasori and the Performance of 100 puppets technique.

I don't even think that Sasori will need to use Third Kazekage and 100 puppets technique. If so, an overkill is guaranteed.

In Sasori vs. Kimimaro perspective? I wouldn't need to. Why? Its his ability to use puppets, thats how the author created him. So Sasori IS clearly the winner.
