The bloody quality that thing can produce at that distance is amazing. I want one, I want one now.

This is a video demo of a 13.4 GIGAPIXEL photo of Harlem. No matter where you zoom in, it's always crystal clear. It can clearly depict a person's face 20 miles away. I wonder how long itll be they start selling digital cameras with 13.4 gigapixels!

I wish I had a HD video though, if I find one, I'll update, but it's simply amazing.

A digital cameras mega pixel rating is normally based on the fact that a standard camera shoots a 4:3 picture . . . for example: my 7.2 mega pixel camera produces a 4:3 shot with dimensions of 3073 X 2304 . . . if I had a panoramic mode it would produce a 2:1 shot with approximate dimensions of 4727 X 1890 . . . covering an angle of about 165 degrees . . .

The reason thay can call this a "giga pixel" camera is because it has a high vertical resolution (probably over 3,000) and covers an angle of probably 260-300 degrees . . . it's all about the math when it comes to pixel ratings on cameras ^_^

Man, once these things become widely obtainable, just imagine how much easier it would be to pick out face from security camera footage. Soon, gone will be the days of dealing with blurry, grainy camera footage at crime scenes. Then there are its other capabilities...

For technology junkies like me, this is a great age to live in.
