Firefox and Internet Explorer. Yet to try Google's new browser.

Its fast. But it has some issues in rendering. I've heard complaints about PNG files not looking right, and handling of some CSS. It needs work but it shows promise. I'm most concerned about the CSS issues. I wonder if some of the speed Chrome has is due to not fully rendering things like shadows and transparency in some places.
But Chrome wont be replacing Firefox for me anytime soon, even with these bugs worked out Too many plugins and features that are a normal part of how I use the web now are not available on Chrome.

I'll never use a new browser until after 6 or so months. That way I don't have to deal with pestering bugs and so.
Right now I'm a hardcore Safari and Firefox user.

Opera, now and forever ;D
Firefox, or any other for that matter, just crumbles after everything I put it through :]
Opera is stable, praised to be the fastest browser in the world, Has e-mail, rss, IRC, synchronises everything on a remote server....In short - It Gleams +___+
Firefox can do all those just as easily with like three plugins. Except email, because Firefox is a web browser, and isn't supposed to do email.
Also: Fail. Someone has already used that avatar, at a larger size.

Firefox.
IE7 sucks on my PC for some reason. Whilst Mozilla sails smooooooothly.
I only really like to use IE7 for certain things though

I have used Opera, so I can account to liking it very much. It is definitely the less popular equal to Firefox imo. I usually use Firefox tho, I dont know why.

firefox but that might end soon if they keep bugging me with a constant string of updates.
Yes, I hate it when browser makers patch security holes and other bugs. Why can't they just sit on the issue and let us be taken advantage of like Microsoft? :rolleye09
You can also turn off the automatic update checking in the preferences.

you list the three major updates how about you list the last several quick fixes between those updates you might want to read those because that's what I'm referring to. do you think 3 updates over months would be annoying?
its not. its the small fixes that are because it mirrors what M$ used to do with IE.
the only error I made was using the word update instead of quick fix's
you list the three major updates how about you list the last several quick fixes between those updates
Mozilla doesn't issue "quick fixes". The .0.1 releases are maintenence releases, not "major" by any definition, and how Mozilla distributes all security updates from what I can see. I have never been bothered by Firefox to install anything for Firefox itself other than the updates I listed above.
If you're getting more notices, they might be from any extensions you have installed (I get new versions of ColorfulTabs, Slashdotter, and Customize Google every week it seems). But those are third-party extensions, not Firefox updates.
The closest I can come to your idea is how MacOS X is done. Apple issues security and other updates but then releases .0.1 bugfix releases that include a whole slew of stuff and are hundreds of megabytes sometimes.

a quick fix is when the version number does not change.
in each of the version updates they address as many issues as they have time to before release.
after updates some issues with either the update or ones that needed to be addressed after release get dealt with in quick fix's and yes firefox has been using them the download warning window opening is proof enough of it.

Now it sounds like you're explaining IE's update procedure.
Maintenance releases don't have set schedules for Firefox. Generally a maintenance release is triggered by a high profile security issue getting patched, not the other way around. If something doesn't get covered in a maintenance release, generally it is because the issue has not been confirmed or a patch finished yet, or in rare occasions too low a priority to push out an immediate patch.

Are you talking about the Software Update window (click here to install and restart) or the regular Downloads window.
I've never had the Software Update warning window pop-up for me for anything other than maintenance releases. The only other was the one for plug-ins when it checks at startup.
