Contest #54 - Chen's secret life

Have you ever wondered what a Chinese boy who grew up in Kansas does during his spare time (other than the porno watching of course). Well, I'll let you in on the secret.

Sooooo... I recorded myself playing a few of my favorite games, and a few of my not so favorites. Your mission is to figure out what games they are. Some are very easy, some are not so easy, and hopefully some are damn near impossible :P

Just so everyone know, I had a lot of fun making this contest, and I hope you have even more fun doing it, because this is my life we're talking about!!

The game is Mario Kart 64, and that's what is required as the answer. There are a few different Mario Karts with different names, so the exact game name must be provided as the answer. Also, if the game was Tekken 3, then Tekken 2 will not be accepted as the correct answer.

The due date for submissions will be Sunday, Sept 30th, at 11:59pm PST.

Prizes:

1st place = 100,000 vbux + they get to decide what category the next contest will be
2nd place = 50,000 vbux

Don't forget tho, these contests do count towards the divisional ladder even if the thing hasn't been updated in ages.

BTW, I suggest watching the all of them completely, even if you do know them.

I'm going to make this very very clear. You are going to have to give me the EXACT game. There are a lot of look-alikes, but I made sure that the videos contained no ambiguities. And if the game is an expansion, you better state that too. Now, if the game is Mario Kart, then I wouldn't mind if you put the super there or not, but you better make sure that you stick that 64 to Mario Kart 64. As long as I know what game you're talking about it's ok, but that game better be the right one. Otherwise, you're going to be in for a rude awakening.

Also, you may change your submissions up until either the 30th or until all of the submissions are sent in. You can either PM me with your submissions or post it in the thread, it doesn't really matter since I'm the only one judging it.

It also may not be a bad idea to just let the same teams work together again if they haven't been separated, or rejoin them if they have been separated (to avoid confusion/conflict etc).

It's been a few days since all the contest 53 submissions were sent in, and I expected that to not be a problem already. If it really is a big problem, I'll redo this and put it up again next week.

Vaizards and Espada's were together until I PM'd Pylar after the contest began to separate us. It seems that other divisions had the same problem, so I wouldn't be surprised if there is just more than us and Mateff's group undergoing the problem.

dude there is no way to clean this up on our own. Fact is half the divisions can now look at the division that picked them for the last contest and see their answers or what they are discussing. That division in return can not peek into the other. So obviously some divisions can cheat and would then have the upper hand in this contest.

If you all want us to work in teams again, that’s fine.. NOT to sound offensive, but the admin responsible just needs to stop being lazy and cancel the division access.. is it really THAT much work? come on..

Unless more than 1 divisions get them all correct, the chances of ties happening should be fairly low.

The reason I allow submissions to be sent in multiple times is because a lot of divisions have already sent in their answers, and I was going to get some complaints after some of them see the results. I'm not here to trick anybody, and I spent a lot of time and work on the videos to avoid ambiguity and such, and thats what I expect the answers to be. Also, because the contest will end when every division has sent in their submission, divisions won't be able to irresponsibly submit something crappy before the deadline because there's always the chance of the contest ending at any time.

There will be no hints provided. The songs are close to full versions, and they're not hard at all. Most of the games are extremely easy, which only leaves a few hard ones. If I give hints, then everyone would get all of them correct and that would be meaningless.

We had an answer for everything although it's likely we got a couple wrong (due to sequels and such). That said, any team that beats us fully deserves the win and has my respect.

You must name it as Soul Caliber 2. I did give an example of it, using Mario Kart 64. Just saying Mario Kart is not good enough. In the case of Soul Caliber, it isn't enough either, unless the game is in fact the original Soul Caliber.

I tried to watch a little bit of Rugby just a few days ago, it was Canada vs. Australia in Rugby World Cup or something like that..... I failed to understand it lol.
