Well, i'm gonna try this. Tell me what you think.

Balled of Truth

O’ Cassandra, prophet devout, spoke golden words of truth,
Stopped were these, in her mouth, ancient wisdom couth.
For truth, though grand, tastes of steel, and fate would have it not,
Bitter words bit her heels, and wisdom was forgot.

Sanctity cast upon wings of innocence, wrought iron steel, bite of blade,
Killing, violence without sense, for no warning bade.
Blood stained the hands of those unknowing, stained the hands of all,
Brave men died for truth un-showing, for their city fall.

Died they did, for truth does not rear belief,
And amid the fields of death, were scattered the deceased.
Truth bred only ignorance, foul lies and gnashing teeth,
War caused by lack of sense, bodies lacking wreaths.

O’ Cassandra, unheeded by all, wisdom of the damned,
Words of gold still spinning as city fall, no one left did stand.
And as horse left, ignorance spelled doom,
Golden threads tied to death, below a bloody moon.

I throughly enjoyed it. It has a nice flowing cadence to it, and paints a haunting picture. Good on you, mate.
