So, anyone hear about this game? It sounds pretty badass. It's a 4 player co-op FPSRPG coming out for the PS3, PC, and 360.
http://img464.imageshack.us/img464/3841/borderlandzdk6.jpg The story centers around 3 characters, a sniper, a gunner, and a mage esque person. You do quests to progress the storyline, get new weapons, and level up your character like in traditional rpg's, only now it's in FPS mode :O! The goal of the developers is to give you whatever gaming experiance you want. Whatever you want your character to do or be, you can have it that way. If you want your character to cut a swathe of despair and destruction shooting down all enimies who stand in his way, go for it. If you'd rather shoot from a mile back, leaving only a field of bodies standing in your way, you can do that. Also, it doesn't just feature co-op, you can play in solo mode as well with customizable AI characters, who you can switch out for a human player who wants to play with you at any time. You can also jump right into a friends game and help him out, while still retaining all the weapons, armor, and attributes from your game, then when you get tired of helping your friend, jump right back in to your game. Speaking of weapons and armor, this game boasts over 500,000 of each, all with different strengths and weaknesses, advantages and disadvantages. The developers boast that you can go through the whole game without seeing the same weapon twice. Speaking of developers, it's being developed by Gearbox, and produced by 2K games as the next generation of story oriented FPS's. Naturally i'm pretty psyched about this game, any thoughts on it?

looks pretty cool, but I think Hellgate London is offering what this does and more, though this is offline (pro and con). I'll still look into this game for sure though and most likely rent it.

Iunno. Look it up miku. I heard about it in game informer.

And it's not offline. You can play online or off. It's a personal choice.

yarr, but I meant that Hellgate is specifically meant for online play, it wasn't designed for single player or off line co-op (even though those are options).

This reminds me of "The Crossing". Valve's new Multiplayer SinglePlayer crossbreed.

I really like how developers are finally realizing that Co-Op is an extremely important feature for games now.

Left4Dead is going to be a huge game for me.

I like co-op games because they are the only things you'll actually play with me and enjoy. . .
