I'm extremely excited about this game, I CANNOT WAIT FOR IT TO RELEASE!!!!!! It's gonna be tons of fun and all my friends are getting it also. The only thing that could turn people off is the "cartoony-ness" of the graphics, but I personally like it.

I've seen a video of it on youtube, which was quite interesting. Having never heard of Team Fortress 2 (or even the first one), up until a few months ago, I get the impression i'd be disappointed by expecting too much. We'll see. :)

Scout and spy looked pretty cool.

I am surprised none of you pre-orded, I've been playing since Sept. 11th, I like it, although i was a heavy TFC player back in its time and as such was disappointed with a small handful of things when i first started playing.

No grenades, at all.
Pyro had incinerator rocket launcher taken away.
Sniper only has cross hair when scoped now and the lazor is self charging, meaning i have no control over it.
2 fort and Well were both, in terms of design and game play, massacred.
And sadly, the HW guy is still the biggest n00b class there is, the amount of damage they can take is ridiculous.

Yeah, definatly still a good game. These are all quite minuscule things i really only notice as someone who was a hardcore TFC player way back.

All in all i still recommend it, and play it often, more so than css now.

I meant pre-order off of steam... which is why i and a couple thousand others have been playing it since Sept. 11.

Spys.. are god damn good. Can rape heavies easily. Medic are much more useful now. The no nade part made me sad but oh well. The turret is definitely upgraded and nastier, not even the heavy can go against it.

I look forward to this game, I loved the first one and I've seen all the trailers and this game looks promising. Hope it won't be a let down.

I don't care for the cartoonish graphics, I think its looks good though.

The game looks amazing and if its anything like its predecessor then it should be a great sequel.

it's kind of a shame that it's predecessor isn't actually popular on steam anymore.....
even before tf2 came out, TFC servers were pretty much empty. i guess everyone felt like being sniper-pwn3d in counter-strike

Medic are much more useful now.
Eh, i find the opposite to be more true, since they took away the medics infection ability they lose a huge advantage they had.

In the old TFC all the medic had to do was run around infecting everyone on the other team, it was incredibly easy to do in the small close courter maps. I could rack up kills as a medic crazy fast this way.

provided the other team was dumb enough not to have their own medic. lol more often than not that was the case.

was anyone here any good at conc-jumping. back when TFC was popular i use to be pretty good at handheld conc-jumping which was pretty useful on maps like well. simple concing though. i never knew how to beat those custom conc-jumping maps....

Dont need to buy OB when it comes out. Its cheaper if you buy TF2 alone
