Theme:

"Hero/Heroes" (and no, not the series :P)


Amount of Participants:

Rules:

Write a poem based on the theme, the poem can be about anything so long as you can relate it to the an idea involving "Hero/Heroes".

There is no length specification (and no cake.)

No plagiarism. Seriously, don't even think about it, and if you do think about it grow up before considering putting a pen to paper or typing something up in your name.

The poem can be in any style you want.

You may post poems only in the Submission Thread, and are allowed to edit your poems until the deadline is up. The thread won't be created until the five are chosen.

Schedule:

-Sign ups end by tomorrow night (around 12:00am GMT)

Deadline: You have until next Friday, October 19th around 8:00pm GMT.

-One week of voting.

Voting Style:

Will be announced in the voting thread.

Anyways, I'm sorry for not putting a date in that thread and "assuming the everyone being used to one week." I also have noticed that no one has been posting, but have not had the time to address all of you guys (I had rehearsal tonight, yesterday birthday-ness, etc.) Since no one has submitted I'll start the deadline as a week from today (and will post the detailed time in the other thread). Also if you've had a busy week and have been unable to write, just post in this thread to let me know so I can extend the deadline :) But even if the deadline isn't stated, you can still post your submission.

And the next two-three weeks I'll be very inactive do to real life events which have all ended up around the same time. However I will come on for a couple of minutes to keep checking on the contest.

I have now been granted mod powers over the Writing and Lit section. So I will be withdrawing my name from the contest... as that seems only fair. :) I hope this doesn't make anyone sad, but I just feel it is the right thing to do. G'luck to all the contestants!! <3
