Not in HS anymore but during my last lecture I usually try to pay attention because it's when I'm most awake.

Take notes, and since it's American Lit class, write down all the vocabulary words and definitions of the words I am supposed to. Then also learn about other literature.

My last period is Newspaper, so I just either work on my articles, run around for interviews, help working on layout, Photoshop some images, deliver the latest issue to areas around school, or just slack off.
