A man clad in only a generic shinigami robe, if not for the fedora hat, he would most likely be confused with one of a thousand faceless warriors of the Gotei 13 protection squads. The man is thin and tall, and at first glance might be considered to week to fight massive monsters, capable of completely consuming a regular soul’s body in seconds. These monster, these hollow beasts, some can destroy dozens of the faceless shinigamis mentioned before. And yet he does. He faces these hollows and he survives. Some day he might just win. Some day. Well today could be that day.

The man, some know him as Jack, some as Baby Blue, walks up to the gigantic tower made of twisted steel and seething hate. The man wonders what black beasts reside inside that awful and awe-inspiring tower. He closes his eyes for a moment, focusing all of his energy into sensing reiatsu nearby, however it was for naught. He could sense nothing and noone, as if all had abandoned the tower, but that was not good enough for this one man.

With one fluid motion the man with the fedora hat draws his katana. It’s handle is wrapped in a baby blue ribbon. It’s blade is unique, fo it is double edges. Both sides of said blade gleam in the night, their taste for blood evident. Very slowly, very intently, the man strikes the massive door, the piercing sound resounding for miles, climbing up the many floors of the ominous tower.

“Heh, that should bring them, I welcome them, for I have nothing to lose, and all to gain!” The man exclaimed, meaning it entirely.

I do not pretend any love for Shinigami.

There is no reason why this dog of the Gotei should be standing on our outpost's doorstep...nay, knocking on its majestic gate.

He shall be punished for his insolence.

Mephistopheles is not the largest Hollow of all, but he is considered one of the most dangerous Hollows when he is in combat. The large bone fin on his back serves as a rudder of sorts, which in combination with the insane amount of tendons in his legs allows him to maneuver in ways that seem impossible. Those same powerful legs allow him to attack in ways that seem extremely unpredictable, and are nigh impossible to even pull off correctly. When running at full speed, Mephistopheles pulls his arms into his sides and leans forward at an almost 90 degree angle, which makes his frame almost perfectly aerodynamic, and allows him to move much faster than normal. Behind the bone fin lies a sphincter that can exhaust large amounts of scentless gas. This sphincter is very pressurized, and has the capability to propel him into the air at high speeds.

Appearance(Uniform, distinguishing characteristics, etc...):Normal shinigami uniform except a pure black, 1920s gangster fedora hat with a long baby blue ribbon tide to it. He looks younger than he is, and his slightly long hair adds to the effect.
Background: Jack was born in the U.S. just before the roaring 20's. Before jack was even five he was in love with the gangster way of life. To him it was the embodiment of freedom. When he was ten his farther died in a car accident, which only showed Jack that life is short, and that he needed to start on his goal now. He took a job as an associate at fifteen, and by his 20th birthday he was a caporegime. That was when an opposing gang put a hit out on Jack. To escape the hit men Jack, fled to japan, regrettable leaving his sister and mother in the care of his gang. Before long the rival gang caught up to him and using his mother and sister as bait, lures him out of hiding. The gang preceded to kill Jack. The status of his family is unknown, and for his first 30 years in soul society was spent solely on finding his family. After the 30 years of searching for his family, Jack realized that he would never find them, and his life was purposeless. Jack had no direction in life so he did the only two things he knew how to, he fought randomly, and he meditated. After 10 years of meaningless fighting, and answer less questioning, he decided he would try out for the shinigamis, for he had nothing else to dedicate his life to. He got the nickname “baby blue” from his boyish looks, and from a blue ribbon he wears on his hat at all times...
Personalty: Jack is polite, but cold. Sense losing all hope for family, he’s done nothing but improve his ability to fight, and search for something to protect with the power he is gaining. He realized long ago that when he “sacrificed” himself for his family he made a mistake, and it hurts him to think about the past. He know now that his actions were of a weak boy, and they probably got his mother and sister killed. As a result of that, Jack will sacrifice any part of himself to protect a child or woman, and he is never comfortable in the company of one.

Ichizenmondou

This unique shikai is made up entirely of Jack’s will and reiatsu. The blades shape and color flow and change (sticking to a katana sized damage), though usually the blade takes the shape of a katana and the color of his regular reiatsu. The outpouring of so much reiatsu often boosts Jack’s cutting ability and the strength of his special attacks, resulting in a higher DC, higher to-hit, the power of his special attacks are on average 50% stronger. In fact the attack is so powerful it will often destroy other people’s shikais.

((Umm...we don't have any Resolve to start. I didn't taunt you, and you didn't taunt me. Thus, no Resolve to start with. Since our DEX is the same, but Initiative modifier is different, the person with the higher Initiative modifier goes first. Namely, me.))

A familiar itch crawls through my claws as I stare down the Shinigami. This one seems to be rather strong...perhaps it is even an even match for me. That, however, is highly improbable.

Time to show him how we do things in Hueco Mundo.

We both leap at each other with blinding speed, but I prove to be just a little faster.

I decide against the frontal attack and make an attempt to plunge my claws deep into his back. I long to feel the cleansing flow of blood and spinal fluid upon my claws...it's been quite awhile since I've experienced it. Perhaps this will be my lucky day.

(oh yeah, remember jaran, i'm only level 9)

The beast’s claws dig through the man’s back. At first there was a blinding pain but it softened quickly to the point where it was almost not even there. The blow was so strong that the man spun almost a full 180 degrees. The man sags to his knees and bows his head. A position caught bandits and criminals have taken since the beginning of civilization.

“So,” the man whispers as he kneels, “This is how it ends eh, cut down kneeling, waiting to be punished like a criminal.” The man cranes his neck a little to stare the beast straight into his eyes. “It’s up to you, I challenged someone outside my league and I lost. It comes down to this,” the man’s voice croaks and cracks as he tries to continue talking, “do you have any honor left in you beast? Or are you just a monster now, completely driven hunger, and nothing else.”

The man who once was Jack Sanner continues staring at those devoid eyes, just it’s eyes.
