Shikamaru... even though Kiba went up against Naruto in the chuunin exams (he had to lose), I think Shikamaru's strategy would prevail.

Kiba is strong, but Shikamaru is too much smarter then him, and...

He beat Akatsuki member by himself... with his intellect...

Shikamaru without a doubt. He has matured more than most in his generation and after his last manga fight, I don't think there is any doubt about his abilities.

Shikamaru would win cause he can take control of both of them, and since Kiba is always close to akamaru then shikamaru could just make them hit each other.

Shikamaru would win this easily, hands down. His shadow tencniques would take Kiba out quickly without much work because of Kiba is a close range fighter. Unless his dog pee's on him in the eyes lol.

Saying that Shikamaru would beat Kiba with ease is over the top.

Kiba has great ability, he is a fast brawler, effective against Shikamaru as he has to trap them and keep his distance. Also, when Kiba uses his two-headed wolf transformation and does that spin - attack (excuse me for lack of name memory), then it goes damn fast and can rip people in two.

However, having said that, I also agree that Shikamaru would probably win. As he has superior intellect and Kiba has been proved to be naiive and rash.

It slightly depends on the timeskip, as I think that can make a difference.

lol obv. shik , hes one of the strongest people due to his intelligence

i would want to know who would win between shino and shik ... that would be a great battle because they both are soo smart because they analyse everything
