Vampire Knight!

I just read all 24 scanlated chapters. Very good stuff. Good art, action, story, and characters.

Basically, it's about a girl who can't remember anything prior to being attacked by a vampire at the age of five, and then being saved by another vampire who she now idolizes. She then gets adopted by the chairman of a private school designed to promote the peaceful coexistance of humans and vampires.

Anyone else read it?

I ADORE Vampire Knight! And you read all 24? Wait, does it END at 24? That seems so unreal. I started off reading it in ShojoBeat and then picked it up online..but I only got to the 3rd Volume.

It's kind of a pain in the butt, though, to wait each month for the next chapters. In the beginning, each chapter actually revealed something, but it seems like the anthology is just...going on and on without saying much.

But I still love it. <3

Also, maybe it's just me, but where I am in the story, it seems to be developing quite nicely.

You know, I've always wondered where Yuki came from and why her blood is so..tempting? Got any theories?

I got mine from AnimeEDEN. And as for Yuki, I'm not sure, but it probably has something to do with why she lost her memory and why she was wandering all alone with no parents.

It's probably completely off mark, but I wouldn't be surprised if she somehow had pureblood vampire heritage that maybe got suppressed or something.

Rofl, right after I posted, I went searching for VK updates and I found that site exactly. I read up to 24 last night!! OMG, 25 is already out.

I was so shocked when
Kurean killed Maria/whatsherface. RIGHT THROUGH THE STOMACH omg.

and then

when Zero's twin brother showed up! And he's EVIL? WTF. VK was all nice and dramatic and then it turned into a crazy sci-fi soap opera!

But I couldn't stop reading..BUT WHAT THE HELL.

ZERO has some kind of premonition that he KILLS little ol' Yuki?! AND THEN HE ALMOST KISSES HER. IT was so great.

I swear, I was like 0_0 the whole time.

Yeah, chapter 18 surprised me. I can't tell if Kuran is really just looking out for Yuki, or if he has something more devious in mind. It almost seems like he's obsessed with her.

Edit: 25 is great, Kaname makes a move on Yuki heh. I can't decide who I want her to end up with more, him or Zero.

Anyway, about Yuki

Yuki commented briefly about her childhood to Kaname saying that she knew her memory was gone and someone erased/took her memory. I got the impression that Kaname did that to her, "to protect her" but wtf. Maybe Kaname isn't the "good vampire" she remembers? Maybe he's the bad guy, afterall.

And I also get the feeling that Yuki is more than just a school girl whose parents were killed by vampires. I think she could also be..royalty. If that Maria/Princess whatever had actually turned Yuki, she'd probably be this big scary vampire princess herself!

Yeah, but Kaname is pretty cool too. Except we really don't know much about Kaname's personality because he's never really gotten mad about something yet, so he seems kind of one dimensional.

The way I interpreted it, Yuki just found herself wanderng in the snow back then and already had no memory of anything before then. Of course, Kaname could have just modified her memories to make her think that, but who knows? I definately think there is something special about her though. There are just too many irregularities with her past, and present for her to be normal.

I enjoy this manga, but at times it makes me want to hurt myself. Of course, my favorite is Zero! He really is too amazing. I love watching his "descent into madness."

Chapter 30 was pretty amazing. But, taking some words from Bleach, Zero has no "resolve" to kill at the moment. No Shizuka to hate on and his bloodlust was off the chain.


Kaname I think is... hmmm... how do I say it? Disgusting? Sappy? He's always saying mushy things and waxing poetry as he gazes off into nothingness. It makes me roll my eyes. I know he isn't the good boy he pretends to be, but whenever he is with Yuuki I want to gag.

Yuuki should grow as a character. I think the author is finally doing that by attempting to go into her past. But still, the manga can go chapters without anything REALLY happening.

I really like Zero's sensei, the hunter that brought him up. They have a good relationship, I wish I could see more of him.

Yeah! Chapter 29 and 30 just came out and both were INCREDIBLE! I really loved

the fight between Zero and Kurame. That was pretty badass. It's officially clear that both Zero and Kurame have feelings for Yuuki and Headmaster CROSS totally knows about Yuuki letting Zero 'feed' off of her. The taboo thing. =O

But yeah, Chapter 30 ROCKS!

Yuki has to end up with Zero, it would just be weird if she ended up with Kaname because He kind of her brother, I mean EEWWWW!

There are little clues about Kaname...he isn't who you think he is...He is the ancestor of the Kuran family and had been made a vampire from Rido who took him from his grave, not her direct brother...It is my belief that he was raised as her brother to help hide her existence and also because Yuuki's parents cared deeply for him...Yuuki was born to be Kaname's bride...For whatever reason Kaname is afraid to tell her the whole truth as of now

If you still have some to go...read them all including the first pages which also have clues in them...the English part anyways...I don't know Japanese yet...

i l;ove Vampire Knight i have read up to chapter 42 so far and i can tell you your in for a big surprise and i mean big i never guessed it i think that this writer is a bit twisted in what ive been reading but it is totally awesome.now i like both zero and kaname in a way you want to see zero laid back and happy and i am yet to see it in the show and from where i am it seems his behaviour is definitely going to get worse and from the third chapter you can clearly see that kaname sees yuuki as more than a friend or someone that he has to protect and it borders further than obssession once youve reached where i have you will understand that the pieces fit together but the manga is definitely different from some ive read and its only going to get better.

Well it seems that Kaname is in fact a much older vampire that was resurrected and hidden as Yuuki's older brother. So while they are probably of the same direct blood-line, they're not really brother and sister.

Zero can't kille Yuuki....He has Yuuki's blood in him, she could control him if she wants, same goes for Kaname...

Zero just hates vampires for what was done to him, I really can't see him killing her...I don't think he even has it in him to pull the trigger....Besides I think Rido will interfere since he keeps thinking of Yuuki as being her mother Juran....

I'm curious as to whom will kill Rido...Who will get to do the deed first..?
He's already been stabbed in chest by Yuuki's weapon, now all they need is to cut off his head...but then again that would be too easy then wouldn't it ?

well i thought that in that chapter he died but zero would not kill yuuki firstly because he was a friend to her before he found out that she is a pureblood and even though someone has changed you dont emediately change your friendship feelings off the bat he is just upset that she is one of them and it really isnt her fault she didnt know so he wouldnt just blast her ...he might try to kill kaname though

He'll definitely try to kill Kaname. I too doubt that his conviction will carry over to her, next chapter will probably include some flash backs between the two as he holds the gun to Yuuki, in the end he just heads off to find Kaname. My guess at least.

yeah...I agree with Kefka, I think Zero will try to kill Kaname...he has already vowed to refuse to let him have Yuuki... and Imo I really think that deep down Zero is in love with Yuuki...

And unless Zero took off Rido's head I'm pretty sure he is still alive...for some reason I remember seeing that the head has to be cut off...

I think that I heard somewhere that the new season starts on Oct. 6th but don't remember for sure...I just can't wait to see it or to get to read the next chapter.......

ya, i also agree that it looks like zero killed rido. But they dont fully show that. Also I think that Zero will go after Kaname, but I think that Yuuki will come to her sense and agree to be Kaname's "partner" and will go in front of him causing zero to lower his weapon.
but that's just my thinking of what will happen? what yall think about it?
