Official Rules


This is a FreeForm RP, NO dice roll is involved at all. There are only a few stats that are used during the battles only.


Use proper english grammer when RPing, no slang words, no internet expressions such as "lol" "lmao" "ttyl" ext.


Do not use Asteric format.
Example: *throws rock at Bob* *Waves* Hi!!


Use Out Of Character(OOC) tags when you make a non-rp post.
Example: ((Hey Bob, can I go on a mission with you?))


When you make a new paragraph, please put in clear spaces so it's easy to read and understand what's happening.


If your one of the people who have more than one character, and your in the different scenes of the RPG please put dashes between each of the characters actions.
Example:

Since this is an RPG, you will be able to use another persons character during a conversation or during a battle to speed the RP up. BUT you must have permission by the owner to use him/her by asking through the Out Of Character system. If you haven't had any permission from the original owner than you can NOT use his/her character.


You Can NOT kill any other created characters unless you have permission from the member to do so. And you have to make it a dramatic death.


NO god-mode. While you are RPing you cannot dodge all of your opponents attacks/powers/innocence powers. Your character will get hit a lot guaranteed, because in the anime/manga, all of the characters get their hands dirty and so will yours. If your dodging too many of your opponents attacks while RPing then a GM will simply tell you that your dodging too much, and you better get hit. That sounds mean now does it? And vice verse, you cannot hit your enemy ALL THE TIME, you will miss your attacks not causing any damage to your opponent. You MUST use their Speed and Tactics to determine whether you miss or not.


The Stats Points are just for showing your characters limits in battle, and it’s something you just base your battles on. Do not take every Attack, Innocence, Power and Speed literally, they are just a referance to who you are fighting.


Remember, this is an RPG section so you are allowed to double post. You will need to double posts in order to RP as your character sometimes.


No insulting anyone and their characters, flaming or spam. That's just annoying.

Basic RPG Information


Health Points (HP): Can be recovered if you retreat from battle or mission. Your HP also replenishes 5 Points every post when your not in a battle and trying to recover. Health points are 1:2 ratio - thereby doubling all existing health points.

Speed: Pretty simple, shows your thinking, movement, attack, defense, and techniques (should you gain any) speed. High speed is very important, naturally, but it can be beaten.

Tactics: This represents your ability to: think ahead of your opponent in a fight and predict their movements, set traps, and also to outdo speed. In essence, tactics are the anti-thesis of speed: higher tactics compensate for lower speed, although if it comes down to a fist fight, speed beats tactics.

Innocence Points (IP): You will not be able to use your Innocence if your Health is lower than 3 Points HP. As your HP gradually gets closer to 3, you start using your Innocence less and less since your character is only human and has a limit to what he or she can do. But this does not apply to the Noah.

Power Points (PP): You will not be able to use your power if your Health is lower than 3 Points HP.

Manifestation: Noah will be able to use this all the time, even when their HP is below 3. But you will not be able to fight once your HP reaches 0.

Attack Points (AP): This is your basic form of attack. It is any form of an attack besides using an Exorcists Innocence, or an Akumas/Noah's Powers. You can attack anytime while in battle, except when your Health reaches 0.

Defeated: When your Health reaches 0 points.

Completely Defeated: When your whole group/squad is defeated.

Groups/Squads: Only up to 5 people can be in a mission. [Does not include Finders/Humans] Finders/Humans will gain half the exp. points that the main group receives. But in a Arc there is an unlimited amount of characters allowed to participate.

Experience Points System


There will be a few different way to get Experience(EXP) Points so that you can add them to your current stats. Here are the following ways to get Experience Points:

After completing an Arc you will earn 4 EXP Points that can be added anywhere you want in your character stats.

After successfully completing a Mission/Filler- you will earn 2 EXP Points that can be added anywhere you want in your character stats.

You will earn 1-2 EXP points total for battling against any created character during an Arc or Filler-Arc(Overall fighting, no matter how many times you fight). This will be up to the GMs to decide.

For incomplete battles, such as when your opponent runs away, or if something interferes with the battle, EXP Points given may vary depending on the situation. This will be up to the GMs to decide.

Based on activity, you will gain 2-3 more EXP Points from the GMs, Black Order or the Earl. Extremely active and well written posts will recieve more EXP Points.

Anyone who does nothing expect appear once or twice receives base EXP only.

If you are a new Exorcist/Noah/Akuma/Finder, then you will be given more EXP points than anyone else so you can catch up faster with the more powerful characters. You will be rewarded more for fighting against much stronger opponents than yourself.

At the end of every Arc/Mission, voting will be held to determine the "best" RPer for that particular Arc/Mission and gain Bonus EXP Points. Bonus EXP Points will vary depending on difficulty of the Arc/Mission.

Every Position, (Akuma/Noah/Exorcists) gain a bonus to health at the very start of their RPing. These points do not count towards EXP required tfor additional upgrades.

Traveling


In order to travel around the world of D. Gray-man, each of your characters will have to travel to country to country completing various missions and tasks. But this all depends on the type of character that is traveling. Each type of character has different ways of traveling and here is the list...

Exorcist: Will be able to walk, ride(on horse, train or boat). It will take a total of 2-3 posts(or more) to get from one country to another(depending how far you are from your destination). And depending on how far you are, it may take a few posts to even get back to the Black Order.

Akuma(Level 2 & 3): Akuma will be able to travel by all the same ways as Exorcists, but if they transform into their Akuma form, they will be able to get to each destination twice as fast as Exorcists.

Noah Clan: Noah Clan members will able to travel the same way as Exorcists except, if they transform into their Dark Form, then they will be able to instantaneously teleport from one country to another(except the Black Order or any other Exorcist base).

Finders/Humans: Will travel the same way as Exorcists, but takes one less post to get to each destination.

Battling

You may fight against multiple characters, but your chances of winning are obviously slimmer since you have to beat two or more players instead.

Group battles are allowed.

You must be reasonable and fair when inflicting damage to another character. If you inflict 12 points to your opponent, then don’t be surprised if your opponent does the same thing or more in the next post.

During actual fighting, you can make multiple kicks/punches/throws to your opponent in your post and still inflict only 2 points if you want, just to make the fight scenes more interesting and fun. But you still have to be fair of course.

You can fight against an Akuma or an Exorcist ANYTIME you want during your posts. It can last as long as you want and you can do whatever you want as long as it doesn't effect the main story and other created characters. And you don't have to take any damage since it's a random Akuma/Exorcist. But Exorcists Innocence strength will be drained a little bit, since they all have a limit to what they can do.

Story-related NPCs can hurt/beat your character(Example: The Roman Swordsman Vittorio that Kanda Killed).

Tactics determines the level of plans your character can come up with. Essentially, tactics is used as a measure of your characters general ability to come up with cunning plans in the heat of battle. Tactics can be used to defeat characters otherwise stronger than you.

Parasite Type always resides within the body and alters it, therefore Parasite Type users strain themselves more, hence are prone to tire more quickly during combat.

Equipment Type puts a lot less stress on the user, but on the other hand their damage should be lower since it is more difficult for them to synchronize with the Innocence.

Once your opponent has release his or her Level 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 Innocence, Second Manifestation or Awakening, then you must acknowledge their new abilities such as if there speed has increase, or their defense is much greater, you must recognize that and put it into consideration while fighting.

While not fighting, an Exorcist regenerates 5 points of HP per post (of none fighting), but if they were defeated previously, they cannot have more than half their original HP after recovering for 3 posts. This is done to represent remaining wounds.

You can reduce the amount of damage given from your opponent. As long as it is possible with your characters ability and skill you can reduce the damage given. That is what Tactics and Speed is for; remember you can do this as long as it makes sense during the battle.

Noah will be able to Regenerate their Health after every damage inflicted to them. The formula for the Regeneration is as follows: [Current Health * .2] You then add that number to your health after you calculate it. You CAN NOT go over your Max HP though.

Exorcist/Noah/Akuma Levels

Exorcists:

Level 1 & 2 Innocence: 40% - 79% Synch

Start out with a total of 40 EXP Points.
Cannot cammand any Exorcists during Missions/Arcs.
Total of 45 EXP Points to unlock Level 2 Innocence; add 7 EXP Points to any of your base stats.

Level 3 Innocence: 80% - 90% Synch

Total of 75 EXP Points needed to gain this level.
Unlocks Level 3 Innocence; add 5 EXP points to any of your Level 2 Innocence Stats.
Can be promoted as a Commander (if the character chooses to take the title)
Can command Exorcists during Missions/Arcs if promoted.
Can fight on par with Level 3 Akuma during battles.

Level 4 Innocence: 100% Synch


Total of 120 EXP Points needed to gain this final level of Exorcists.
Unlocks Level 4 Innocence; add 15 EXP points to any of your Level 3 Innocence Stats.
Can be promoted as a General (if the character chooses to take the title)
Can command all Exorcists during Missions/Arcs if promoted.
Can fight on par with Second Manifestation Noah during battles.
Only the best selected RPers will be allowed to advance to this level and beyond.

Level 5 Innocence: Above 100% Synch

Total of 150 EXP Points needed to gain this final level of Exorcists.
Unlocks Level 5 Innocence; add 5 EXP points to any of your Level 4 Innocence Stats.
Can fight on par with Awakened Noah during battles.
Only the best selected RPers will be allowed to advance to this level and beyond.
This is a variation of your earlier power rather than a new form of Innocnece.

Level 6 Innocence: Above 100% Synch

Total of 200 EXP Points needed to gain this final level of Exorcists.
Unlocks Level 6 Innocence; add 5 EXP points to any of your Level 5 Innocence Stats.
Can fight on par with Awakened Noah during battles.
Only the best selected RPer will be allowed to advance to this level.
This is a variation of your earlier power rather than a new form of Innocnece.


Noah Clan:

Second Manifestation

Start out with Second Manifestation from the beginning.
Add 10 EXP points to any of your First Manifestation Stats.
Can fight on par with General Level Exorcists with Level 4 Innocence during battles.
Awakened
Total of 125 EXP Points needed to gain this level.
Unlocks Awakened Level; add 17 EXP points to any of your Second Manifestation Stats.
Can fight on par with Any General Level Exorcists(Levels 5-6) during battles.
Only the best selected RPers will be allowed to advance to this level.

Akumas:

Level 2 Akuma

Start out with a total of 40 EXP Points.
Can cammand any Level 1 Akumas during Missions/Arcs.

Level 3 Akuma

Total of 75 EXP Points needed to gain this level.
Unlocks Level 2 Power; add 12 EXP points to any of your Level 1 Power Stats.
Can command Level 1 & 2 Akumas during Missions/Arcs.
Can fight on par with Commander Level Exorcists during battles.


Note:

Exorcists and Akuma automatically have a +15 HP fix when they are approved (this means that you add 15 points to the HP you decided on having when you wrote your character form), and Noah have a +20 fix to HP when they are approved..

However, those additional points (and other bonuses the GM council might decide on in the process of the game) are not counted towards EXP points needed to gain additional upgrades.

Currently, only EXP gained from missions counts towards upgrades (added to the starting amount of EXP points you received upon registering).

New RPer FAQs


If you are thinking about joining this RP, or you are a new RPer who just created a character, then these FAQs will be very useful for you.


- If you are afraid of joining if we are in the middle of a Mission or Arc, there is no need to be. You will be able to freely create your own character(any Position) and still be able to participate with your fellow RPers even in the middle of the RP.

- If you have just created a chracter, whether it be a Exorcist, Noah, Akuma or Finder, and you don't know where to go next, then you can either go to the Black Order HQ (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=399), or The Millennium Earl's World (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=400) with your character(depending what position you are though) and get a mission or a small task.

- If you have created a character but you don't want to go on a mission just yet, then you are free to go anywhere you want in the Black Order HQ (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=399) or The Millennium Earl's World (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=400) and basically hang out around there and talk with fellow teamates or actual D. Gray-man characters. You can even train your character in the training grounds to hopefully learn more moves or accomplish another Level of Innocence or Power. This is all up to you though ofcourse.

- This is a FreeForm RP, so you can do almost anything you want, as long as it's within boundries. If your still lost though, feel free to ask around in the Out of Character(OOC) Threads and ask anything you want there.

- If you want to make a character then simply make a new post at the Character Threads (http://forums.bleachportal.net/forumdisplay.php?f=398) Section. A GM will come by to edit your thread and Approve your character. Once your character is Approved you can then start your RP adventure.

- When you have finished your character and it has been approved, you are to add a specific amount of HP bonus points to your character's HP due to racial fixes. Noah gain +20 HP, while Akuma and Exorcists gain a +15 fix. These additional bonus points do NOT count towards EXP required for additional upgrades.
