i have a 36 GB quota each month from my ISP. 24GB at off peak hours (2 AM - 9 AM) and 12GB rest of the times. my next reset is on the 17th Nov and i've used up to over 80% already.

Apparently I only had 2MB - the hell? As was explained to my mother when she called the company and asked why she had a $30 surcharge on our internet bill. Apparently, it's unlimited now because we moved up from DSL Basic to high speed. :D

I know I've downloaded about 5GB+ worth of data since getting the new computer, through BitTorrent and Bleachportal.

Well, you don't nessecarily check how much... even though you kinda do. you just check how many gigs you have at the beggining of the month, and then subtract it from your total at the end of the month.

nah not really. If you got optus mobile + phone u could get 15mgs cable with 12 gig on peak and 24 off peak for under $40. =). well im with tpg and got 20 gigs a month i use all of it by the end

Use Optus. They have an extra bonus download data after 12am-12pm,. which is pretty cool. That means you can download more stuff.

optus is good. if you get optus cable plan for say 7gb, you will have 7gb from 12pm-12am and 14gb from 12am-12pm. so in total you will have 21gb a month to use. i am on optus 20gb plan atm and i never run out lol. i just run out of hard disk space xD
