Science Department

[Ryuzaki]

All of the scientists were taking a nap after a long night of work. You can see mountains of paper and boks piled on the desks. The door to the room was left wide open and you could see almost everything inside.

As Jacques entered, Johnny buried his head in paperwork, trying to hide himself.

"Who created those things, leaving me without any instruction?"

A finger pointed over to Johnny's desk.

I thought he wanted to talk to me, as a friend... Johnny thought to himself.

Jacques started moving the papers off the desk, and putting them on the floor.

"What are you... doing?" Johnny let out in some combination between a cry and a gulp.

Jacques pulled out a cloth full of wooden pieces. He set it up, and told Johnny: "Your move."

[Fect]

Jacques and Johnny were in a fierce game, and the rest of the Science Dept. had gathered around.

All that was left were the two pawns and their kings. May as well end it before I slip up...

His king dashed around the side of the board, and took out Johnny's pawn, but left his own wide open.

"Stalemate." With that the Science Department went back to their seats and began working or sleeping, you couldn't tell, but Johnny had a smile and was crying.

"It's alright Johnny, you'll never forget, but I'll listen and help you out as I can. Feel free to swing on by when I'm done with a mission, or whenever you feel like it." Jacques told him, patting Johnny's head.

The Nurses finally got through the crowd, and Jacques was feeling fine. He took off his cast, handed it to a nurse and walked off.

"I'm going to get some food from Jerry, then I may as well head downstairs and see if anyone's training..."

[Ryuzaki]

Holding the tons of paper work that Komui gave him, Reever scrambled to his desk trying to get a sip of his coke.

"Reeeeeveeerrrrr!! Chaaaann!!!" The screams of Komui came down the hall, sending chills down all the worker in the science department. "Whhhyyy isn't anyone heeerreeee from their miiissssiiooonn!!!??!" Komui dashed through the department room, knocking over people, causing paper work to fly in the air and hot coffee to spill on the floor.

"Umm.... Komui? W-hat's the matter??" Reever said to Komui, sweating on his face.

"N-one-from-the-last-mis-sion-is-here-yet!!!!!"

"Okay, okay.... just wait a little longer will ya!? Sheesh..." Reever turned to the entrance of the science department and saw a familiar person. "Hey, speaking of which! Someone is here now!"

Shortly after waking up from his long nap, Hei cleans and dresses himself, then makes way for the science department. It had been awhile since he'd had a chat with Reever, and by no means did he want to have a talk with Komui.

As he entered, Reever noticed him and called out "Oi, Hei do you need to set up another compatibility test?"

"Not today, just got up and was wanting to see what all was going on around here. I'm out so much I can never tell what'll be happening when I get back." Shaking hands with Reever, the two retrieve cups of coffee and engage in idle conversation. Mostly about how overworked Reever's department is.

"Cloud was looking for you earlier, she heard you were asleep though and I suppose left you alone. Toys aren't good broken huh?" Smirking at the joke, Hei kicks Reever in the shin causing him to spill some of his coffee on his leg.

"Its no laughing matter, you have no idea how demonic that woman can be!" Indignantly, Hei tries to open Reevers eyes to the truth of things. "Well, onto other news, whats been going on other than the basics of life in the science lab?"

[Ryuzaki]

"Eh, you know, the usual Komui stacking all of the "paper work" on us, and then we all pull an all nighter... can you tell how tired we are by seeing how much strong coffee we drink?" Reever took another sip and Hei laughed a little.

"So, I heard that the next few missions that Komui are setting up are a doozey, which one are you hoping to go to? I can get you to the one you want if you'd like"

[Vivi]

Looking over a few files, Hei hands one over to Reever. "That one."

((Vampire in the North arc))

"Ah ha! So, you think this sounds fun eh?" Slapping his knee Reever looks pleased. Easily understandable, it was easy to send Hei on missions after all, as long as it he wasn't being annoyed by Komui.

[Fect]

Jacques slid down the winding slide, landing on a few science department HQ staff and their stacks of paper, knocking over each and every one. Reever was a part of that group. "Jacques, get off..." He moaned.

Rolling off the group, Reever slowly sat up and handed Jacques a small folder. "You're able to read and write Latin then?"

"Yessir."

"Well, we're sending you South then."

"Before you do... I have something of value for you to look at." Reaching into his back pocket, he pulled out a small cloth. Reever opened the cloth, and tried to touch the orb. A small black and red electric shock made him pull his hand back. "Where'd you find this?"

"It was a part of the clones that Rave made."

Reever's eyebrow rose. "Alright, I'll send it to our sorcerer friends over at the abbey." Reever took a drink of his coffee.

Anna walked into the Science Department looking around at all of the busy workers holding the piles of paperwork and running around to their desks.

"Umm, excuse me, where is Reever? I've got a question for him." Anna said with a smile on her face.

"O Reever!? He's right over there talking with Hei behind the pile of paperwork." He trodded off again almost dropping the papers on the floor.

"Thank you!" Anna waved to the worker while walking off. Coming up to Reever she smiled at Hei hoping to find a chance to talk with Reever.

"Ummm, Reever do you have a moment? I was wondering what mission can be given out to me, since I don't really feel like going to Komui... he's been dropping people through the floor and I don't feel like doing that, eheh."

[Ryuzaki]

((Towards Jacques))

"He should take care of these orbs from Rave, make sure to come back later... maybe tomorrow.. We might figure out what these things are exactly."
Taking a sip of his coke through his straw he kicked back his feet and continued with what he had to say.

"So you want to go down to the Southern mission? Jacques nodded back to Reever. "It's in Syria, the mission I mean.. and I heard that something really dark lies sleeping there, it's only a myth though, but when you go there, be careful, these Latin words might lead to something more than what you bargain for..."

[Ryuzaki]

((Towards Anna))

"Mission you want huh?" He took his little folder and looked up the future mission that have yet to be investigated.

"You can go to the "Nothern Mission" it's said that there is a vampire there, but that's just a rumor, we think it's plain Akuma, maybe a Noah, never know. But if you want to have that mission, then just give let me know Anna. How does that sound? If you don't know then you can think about it and then come back..."

[Fect]

"That's alright. I'll wait around for a little while to see if anyone else decides to go." Jacques pulled out a new book by Sartre ((Huge Anachronism)) and began reading.

"Alright." Reever replied. "Oh, and before I forget, we made those crosses of yours lighter; you can carry 8 and have the same weight."

"Thanks Reever."

Johnny looked over the stack of papers before him. Jacques leaped over a desk onto the other side of Johnny's desk. "Need a break Johnny?" The crowd began to gather around them.

[Ryuzaki]

"OI! Jacques! There's an urgent mission that just happened! I want you to check it out now! You and Hei go now! Hurry!" They both looked shocked.

"A huge massacre of people is happening right now in Nepal, people are disappearing left and right! I'll send you the coordinates right now...!"

((It's the NEW Fugitive Arc, It shouldn't last very long, two pages at most.))

[Vivi]

"Eh...you're as bad as Komui."

Looking shocked and hurt, Reever stares in mock silence as Hei leaves the room with the other exorcists

Off to some other chilly place. Tropics, you damned Noah, invade the tropics.

"Reever?"

Shinju popped her head in to look around. Upon spotting Reever, she opened the door wider, revealing the stack of papers that he had left behind earlier.

“You forgot something,” she chuckled, leaving the pile on top of his desk.
But before he could say another word, she was already standing by the door and out, probably to her next mission.

Or not.

Nobody knew of the things twirling around in that silly head of hers.
Sometimes not even herself.

[Ryuzaki]

"Well... I guess she already knows where to go... right?" Reever looked at another co-worker, who nodded at him.

"She'll figure it out what to do when she gets there, she hasn't had a good mission yet so this will be a good change of pace for her."

"Hello~~~ Reever-san...," said Rexus as he and Crescent went in to the office. "We would like to go to the North."

"And Cresc...." His words was cut off abruptly as he saw his partner had already wandering off to the bookshelves. "Hey. At least say hi to Reever...."

"Oh, hi, Reever-san!" said Crescent "Sorry, I was interested in these books.... Erm, so we want to go to the North mission. May us?"

[Ryuzaki]

Reever, yet again holding even more stacks of paper thanks to that lazy good for nothing Komui, staggered to Crescent and Rexus, who came to the Science Department together after their mission.

"O, so you want to go to the North Mission as well huh? Well sure I can sign you two up right now so you can head out there in a few hours. How does that sound you guys?"

((The missions will be open in a few hours, but you can stay here and chat, play chess or something, or you can go to the Dining Room to eat or your rooms. But Rever will put you on the list right now. ;)))

"That's okay...," said Rexus "Now... FOOD~~~~~!!!! "

And after saying that, he pulled the very bored looking Crescent to the Dining Hall

And, actually (again), I feel lazy to control 2 characters atm. So, I don't mind if it's just Crescent who go to the mission. So Takeshi could go to the North too! :D ))

"Umm, actually......!" Reever tried to tell them his next comment but they were already gone, running for the dining hall... "I was going to say we extended the amount of Exorcists that can go to that mission.... sheesh..."

He headed back to his desk and tried to finish up the rest of his many paper work.

((I extended the amount by one so all 3 of you can go now. ^^))

Jacques walked back in with a very depressed look on his face and a few bandages where he had been scratched with Ruth's sword.

"Jacques, we were trying to analyze the orb, but it seems it's protected by a barrier from sorcery; I don't know how you touched them."

Jacques ignored the comment for the time being, sulking. Why'd I have to go and do that to the poor guy. And that Ruth... she's mine.

Johnny peeked over, in hopes of another game, but Jacques wasn't in the mood. "If you want to clear off your desk, I can rebuild the game with my book later."

"Alright," responded Johnny.

"Reever, just wake me up when the first available train, boat, flight is to Syria," Jacques asked, yawning. The world became dark and he dreamt.

[Yamamoto]

Jean walked through the door, with a few bandages but no serious wounds. He greeted his old friend Reever with a smile.

"Heard you had some missions that need helping?"

"Yes thanks, just pick some over the papers over there," said Reever as he was busily drinking his coffee while the next pile of papers were still being organised.

"Hmm. This Stockholm one seems interesting..."

"Great. You'll be off soon enough, so just go rest for a while. Thanks for all the help again."

"No problem."

[Undying]

After the restaurant date

Rave and Lenalee entered the office arm in arm, Rave looking suspiciously around while Lenalee all but dragging him and staring forward, looking for Komui.

The reactions were mixed at first, as people saw Rave, some raised an eyebrow, others cowered in fear, others even tried to attack - Kanda was lying at the door with a lump on his head from Lenalee's Dark Boots - but the most bizarre, most unusual reaction was Komui's.

He burst from the office, all tears and dark shadows following him, to launch himself head on into Rave with a maul in hand, screaming about "defiling" and "tainting" his pure sister.

Rave took it all stoically, but dodged all the hits until Komui wasted himself. Then he casually said, "hi, Supervisor. What, the coffee's short on caffeine?"

He could almost hear a relieved sigh escape from everyone present - nearly the entire Science Dept. - and Reever approached him with a cup of coffee.

"I think he's short on it, yes. He's been working on something the last couple of days." Then, when Rave took the cup with his gloved right hand, Reever smiled widely. "Welcome home, Rave."

The entire Science Dept. echoed with the similar messages. Rave smiled and turned away, hiding his blush (and tears). Then Komui, who was recovering from his earlier "attack", put a hand on Rave's shoulder and, with a grin that was meant to be sweet (although Rave could have sworn he saw a pair of horns grow on Komui's head), asked "so Rave, I heard you were out on a date with my Lenalee-chan?"

Rave rolled his eyes. "Yes Komui..." he had a distinct feeling of dread.

"And I heard you stole her first kiss...?" Komui's grin (and horns) grew larger.

Rave shrugged and took a sip from his coffee. "Who told you that?"

Komui got nearer. "Have you, Rave-chwaaan?"

At this point, probably the most shocking thing next to Kanda apologizing happened: Lenalee grabbed Rave's ear, pulled him down and kissed him full on the mouth, forcefully pushing him into herself. Rave, after recovering from the initial shock, wrapped his arms around her and pulled her up, kissing back.

The Science Dept., all of them (except Komui, who appeared rather "stoned") clapped at the sight and raised their variously filled mugs of coffee in a unified toast.

After Lenalee let him go - she was enjoying it - she turned to her brother and very openly said, "yes, do you have a problem with that, Ni-san?"

Komui stuttered something and crumbled.

Rave, recovering his breath, said, "I think I might as well go to my room and rest, ok?"

Lenalee looked at him and nodded, her eyes holding his for a moment longer.

Raven turned and walked, his right arm twitching in approval.

[Fect]

Something about Abraham made him all the more insane and his job less
desirable. Apathy set in. Lacking any real emotion, he got up and began
to do what was his job. The Order wasn't a real home, and the
Vatican not a place for ideals. A woman's voice spoke to him:
"Jacques, are you feeling lonely?"

The voice startled him. Who the hell is this? His dream showed a
beautiful woman sitting next to him, holding his face, as if she were
about to bless him. "You aren't ready, are you? I'll sleep a
little longer; and awake when the time is right."

Jacques woke up startled. The Science Department had finally stopped
running, and most of the lights were turned off. Only Reever and Johnny
remained; both of whom were staring at him.

"Quel est péché?" Jacques asked.

Reever and Johnny gave him an awkward stare, confused by what he had
just asked.

Jacques looked over, "Don't worry about it."

Reever told him the "airship" was ready. I'll get a little more sleep there.

[Kenken]

Kimiko came into the Science deparment, looking lost.

"Ettou... is Reever Wenhamm here?"

Reever responded: "Yo, that's me... who are you?" Reever said loooking at Kimiko.

"I'm Himura Kimiko, I'm from the Asian Branch. I was sent here by Bak Chan." Kimiko responded giving Reever a smal bow.

"Himura? are you related to Takeshi somehow?" Reever asked.

"Yes! I'm his si.. cousin!" Kimiko responded quickly. No one knew that Takeshi had a sister, and she wanted to be sure she was the one who told him. "Although he doesn't know added." she added.

"I see, well he's out on a mission right now, so you'll have to wait before you see him."

"That's ok, I can wait. In fact, is there any mission I could help?" Kimiko asked.

[Ryuzaki]

"So you want a mission as well then. Let me get the official mission folders and see which ones Komui has in mind. And I don't blame you for not going to see Komui, he's a bit..... yeah..." Reever took out the white folder opened it up and searched through the papers to see which missions Kimiko would be able to go to.

"I'm not too picky about the mission, but if I can go to where my.... cousin is, that would be great!"

"Hmm, I'm sorry about that, but the mission your cousin is in is full... But there's this mission called.... Abel Nightroad?" He took out the paper to get a better look at the description and gave it to Kimiko. "This is the mission I can give you right now. Are you up for the task?"

[Kenken]

Kimiko read the description and said: "I am, I"ll go there as soon as I can."

Thanking Reever, Kimiko left the science room.

Takai walked into the room, deep purposeful strides. But anyone who looked at his face would think otherwise. His face had this dark, sunken look, as though he had slept for days.

"Er hello," Reever said. "If you are looking for a mission..."

"Im looking for ways to bring a body back to life, or anyway to make a body using Innocence. Or anything. You have heard of Kaze's destruction in Stockholm."

[HolyMoon]

Athena...

Athena walked into the Science Department to search for some books.

'Good, they have a lot of books here.. I won't be bored...,' thought the girl.

Then, she jumped to the very top of a shelf and picked a book there and sat there reading.

[Fect]

Reever walked over. "Is there something you're looking for?"

"I just needed a good read," Athena replied.

Komui's message rang through the Science Department. A man ran inside and gave Reever a large group of file folders. There, he set them down.

Athena picked one up, in a bit of a childish manner. Reever told her, "If you want something to do, you can take that file folder with you - it's a mission."

((If you want to go somewhere with Athena, take her to one of the three available arcs.))

[Askand]

Stuart left Angie at the entrance of the Science Department. With a courteous bow she say farewell to him and enter the place. Since it was a bit late the place was almost empty except for Jacques and two other men who were staring at him when he talked in french

"Quel est péché?" Jacques asked.

Angie didnt understood the question since she didnt know french but she decided to approach him. It was after a few seconds that she noticed his mood. Apparently things werent going good for him so she decided to take things easy.

"Good evening gentlemen, Jacques" she said in a cheerful voice.

The men greeted her with smiles and nods and introduce themselves. Jacques just nod and sighs a bit frustrated.

"Good evening Angelique right? I'm Reever and this is Johnny. Komui told us you might wander here after the training session. He told us to handle you this." said Reever giving Angie a folder with her mission.
"So Komui is going to let me go into missions?" said Angie a bit surprised.
"Yeah he thinks the more you get used to them the better to help you training. He just need to make sure someone is with you on the mission I havent check which one is. Anyways Johnny and I will go get some coffee will be back in a couple of minutes." said Reever while the two guys turned around and left.
"Why you asked that? Is something wrong?" asked Jacques a bit concern about her.

Angie took a seat next to him and explained him what happened at her training session. She noticed Jacques was trying to hear her but his mind was elsewhere.

"Ok Jacques what's wrong? You obviously are not hearing what I am saying. Is everything ok?" asked Angie reaching his face with her left hand and placing her hand on his right cheek.

Jacques just let out another sigh and closed his eyes. Then a couple of seconds later he opened it.

"You know that if you need someone to talk you can come to me.Right?" she said in a gentle voice.
Jacques looked at her for a while and nodded."Thanks Angie"

For some reason she turn red and giggle a bit.
"You welcome, so you got a mission already?" asked Angie hoping they could be together again.
"Yes I'm going to Siria, I just need to catch a train as soon as possible. And you?" asked Jacques pointing at her folder.
"Well let;s see" said Angie while opening the folder.

[Fect]

Reever walked over: "You'll be heading to China, Angie. Jacques, I think Komui wants you upstairs..."

Jacques nodded, "Alright. Johnny, we'll play later."

He hugged Angie on his way out.

"Now, Angie, be careful. Our charts show a lot of strange occurances with your innocence, in your body. Not to mention what happened downstairs. Let's just take it slowly for now."

She nodded.

"And be careful, because there's been a lot of strange occurances as of late, especially with the arrival of so many new Noah and the reports we've gotten. Speaking of which, I should go catch Jacques; he hasn't given us one in a while. I don't think he has, even before Germany."

Angie bit her lower lip a bit and Reever sensed her silence.

"It's something wrong Angie?"asked Reever concerned.
"Well is just that..."she bit her lips again and then decided to spit it out" Well is just I wanted to go with Jacques." She looked at the floor full of papers totally embarrassed.
Reever stared at her embarrassment for at least some seconds before Johnny poke him on the ribs and said
"Oh Reever you made a mistake this is not Angelique's mission. She was supposed to be with Jacques on Siria. Komui asked for this." said Johnny while Reever still was staring at Angie.
"Your folder is at Komui's office I will tell him that you are going to go and pick it up. ok?"
"Thanks Johnny and you too Reever." said Angie with her face still red and a huge smile.

She left hoping that Jacques didnt think she was stalking him. Meanwhile Reever looked Angie left and asked Johnny. "What I did?"

[HolyMoon]

"Missions...," muttered the girl as he read the sheets. All but the Carnival of Venice had been occupied.

'Venice.. my hometown...,' thought the girl as she gripped the paper tightly 'Do I want to go there? '

The memory of her life there flashed in he mind; her parents who left her at the orphanage, the smiling face of the owner, the other children who called her a monster and bullied her. Athena took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a while. When she opened them once again, her eyes shone with determination.

'That's right.. Maybe I will met my parents there and show them how I had lived without their help..'

With that, she walked out of the room after thanking Reever for his explanation.

Crescent..

As he walked into the Science Department, he saw a long haired girl passed him, holding a file folder.

'New comer...?' thought Crescent as he saw a bunch of file folders on the table.

He picked up one and saw that the the mission to the Venice was the only one still vacant.

'Carnival, huh? ' He disliked crowded area, but he had to accept it for now.

Reever handed him a paper bag as he was about o leave the room and opened it; it was a costume for the carnival. When he took it out, he saw it was the costume of a cat.

His eyebrow twitched, and vein popped out, but he didn't say anything and left.

'I will become a cat-man...,' growled the boy.

[Fect]

Reever told them: "Before you leave, we need to do a few simple tests; if you can wait here, so we can account for everything, we'd like that much better."

So, the two sat down, both very impatient as Reever went through paper after paper.

((Don't assign yourself a mission, period.))

[Fect]

He did a few blood tests, followed by a small photographic-memory test; both passed with flying colors.

"Alright, we're all done. We're going to send you both to China. I know you two just got back, but we have transportation so that the journey isn't as hard. A train will be going through Russia; you can choose to leave from there, or continue on to China."

((Head out to one of those two areas, your choice.))

[Kenken]

((I'lll just here as Kimiko so I can explain about her innocence. She isn't going to a mission yet :p))

Kimiko came into the room, dressed in normal clothes. She came here from her room, which she went to after she was dismissed from the infirmary. She walked towards Reever and Komui, who were standing next to table. In the table lay a... small naginata, it looked more like a katana or kodachi than a naginata, with the shaft as long as the blade. The blade was ember, in contrast with the black shaft, which seemed to be made of metal.

"Kimiko-chan~" Komui saluted Kimiko, who simply waved at him and at Reever.

"Feeling better, Kimiko?" asked Reever.

"Yeah I"m better now, thanks for asking. So what did you want to tell me?"

Komui replied, "We wanted to talk about your innocence."

"I'll still be able to be an exorcist, right? I can still fight, right?" Kimiko asked, worried even though she tried to hide it.

"Yes," Reever said, "but you won't be able to fight, for some time. You have to do training first."

"Train...ning?"

"Kimiko... your innocence was almost destroyed by the level 3's ability. Luckly its core was undamaged, and we could repair it. However before we could we had to leave it with Hebraska for a while, so the innocence could heal itself. This would usually take a long time, but your innocence recovered it faster than others. Hebraska said it was like a phoenix being reborn from its ashes."

"Like a phoenix...?"

Reever nodded and added, "Once it was healed, Hebraska gave it back to us, and we could start repairing your naginata. When we fused the innocence and the naginata, well, you can see here what happened." Reeved pointed at the weapon in the table.

"That's my..naginata? It doesn't look like one, and it clrealy doesn't look like mine."

"When Hebraska gave us your innocence, she said to be prepared, as it has changed. We didn't know what she meant then, but maybe we do now. When your innocence was healing itself, it had to give up some of its power in order to do so, and that made it change. Hebraska believes some abilities you had before won't be available for you anymore, while you'll have to learn some again, and if the healing went well, you'll be learning new abilities too. In other words, your innocence had went through a number of changes, and the physical aspect it has right now is proof of that."

"And that's why I have to train? So I can familiarize with my innocence again, right?" Kimiko asked.

"Yes, so you'll have to stay in the order for some time before we give you any missions."

"I see..."

"Don't worry Kimiko. Hebraska said that at the beginning it will be weird, but you shouldn't have trouble syncronizing with your innocence afterwards."

Kimiko smiled and said, "Thank you Komui-san, Reever-san. She gave them a bow, took the weapon and left for the training grounds. It was time to get to know her innocence again.

((I know the explanation I've given isn't canon, but meh. I think it works anyway >_>))

[Wacer]

"Just where am I" Dimitri thought in the haze of not fully being consciousness. As the white began to clear from his eyes he looked around to see the techs in there lab coats working at a hectic pase on him. Coming too was not such a hot idea though because the more aware he became the more his body was able to process the pain.

"Uhhhh" Dimitri groaned in pain startling a few of the techs that where working on him.

"What took you so long kid, you where sleeping like a baby there" Reever said as he walked into his view. Dimitri wanted to say something back but was just too tired to really.

"The meds have already patched you up but that noah did quiet a number on the pathways your innocence uses, we are just finishing that up as well as some upgrades to your chains" Reever explained from over his clipboard.

"Upgrades" Dimitri said with excitement in his voice

"Yes, While you where sleeping we funneled your innocence powers and bathed the chains in them. They should be a little stronger and they will now have a hint of your power always within them."

"Cool" Dimitri said and looking at the chains that now dangled on the sides of the table, a faint glow now seemed to emanate from them
