this is suppose to be an easy question, but i keep gettin the wrong answer. either im retarded or my calculator is retarded, i would like to believe that the second is true but it is often the first

the total negative charge on the electrons in 1 mol of helium (atomic number 2, atonmic mass 4) is:

i get 1.2*10^5, but the answer is 1.9*10^5
1 mol of he = 6.02 * 10^23
2 electrons per he
10^-19 c= charge of electron

Dude what happen was that u r using the wrong number for the charge of an electron:

(6.022 x 10^23 atoms) (2 electrons per atom) (1.6022 x 10^-19 coulombs per electrons) = 192,968.968

or 1.92 x 10^5 coulombs
