who will be the next captains?

who will take over aizens, gins, and tousens units? my picks are renji for one position, but i don't have any other ideas as to who would fill the spots, probably various vice captains.

Yeah! I agree about Renji. Perhaps there would be new characters from within Soul Society that has not been introduced yet... I don't know. ^___^

renji will fill one, duh. as for the rest, im really having trouble deciding. kira might. matsomoto(sp?), hinamori(although i hate her) might also.

Do Kira, Matsomoto, and Hinamori have Bankai? I don't believe so... but then you have to ask, "who does?" .... well, we know that Urahara does, as does Isshin... so maybe they'll take spots (more likely with Urahara than Isshin, though)?

renji is not smart/experienced enough to be the captain of a squad.

im not saying that they will replace the 3 spots immediatly but they have potential to be captains in the nearer future.

i still think renji will be captain. perhaps he'll be captain after aizen is dead and when the series is coming to an end. yeah, probably a long time to come yet, but it's just my opinion.

i don't think it was ever said bankai is a requirment for becoming a captain was it? i think we just assume all captains have it because...well they're captains, i don't think urahara or isshin will ever be captains again same with yorouchi but never know, and i doubt the new captains would be new characters i mean where would they come from? they're just like... oh yea we had 3 captain level people just lying around but we never made them vice captains or anything cause um....yea, i think they'd have to be vice captains before hand, since it can't be like kenpachi's case or whatever where they just kill the previous captain or somthing, i dunno who they'd pick honestly besides renji, i think the spots will be vacant for awhile, but then who takes command of aizens,tousens, and gins men?

of course their vice captains will take over.but about the bankai requirement thing. most of the captains became captains through the examination way. i think that the examination requires you to have bankai. only kenpachi doesnt have bankai because he killed the previous captain to become captain.
