Why are you guys watching Bleach? [Archive]

After a certain scanlation in some topics , surprisingly found out that many people were disapointed in Bleach. This is understandable , but going to an extend of saying Bleach sucks e.t.c...-.-...

Why are you even here in this forum? It is called BLEACHportal....

Sometimes , I myself feel bored of Bleach , because
Bleach =/= Logic. Stil, most of the time I enjoy it and thats why I am here. I thought it was strange of you to think that Bleach is a ''bellow average shounen'' and still be members with like 5k posts in its forum.

I want you people , who dont like Bleach come here and explain why are you watching/reading , and in result be in its forum.

I used to be a member of Narutofan, and 9 out of 10 people I knew there had stopped watching Naruto at some point because they thought it sucked, it is also quite possible that such a thing is occuring at this forum.

On Topic:
I started watching bleach because I heard it involved lots of swordfighting (I liek swordz :)), but lately I'm getting a bit bored because the quality of the latest episodes is sucky, and the HM arc doesn't weigh up to the awesomeness that was the SS arc.

I'm not going to lie. The reason I joined this forum was mostly because of Bleach (actually 100% because of Bleach as it was the only real thing I was watching at the time other then Blood+). I still watch it and look forward to new episodes. Have I lost interest in it? No. Do I think that the quality of it has declined since earlier episodes? Yes. Regardless of the fact that people like/still like Bleach or not is regardless really. I came for Bleach related matters, but I stayed because of the vast majority/variety of the forums. I've picked up quite a few animes that I would otherwise probably never have seen. I've got info on things I otherwise would still be clueless about. I've got advice from people that I would not of ever got had it not of been for this forum. There's also the fact that a lot of the people who participate in the GFX teams do a real good job on a lot of their requests (momo-taichou and Alone are 2 of my favorites) and they do anything they can. It doesn't have to be Bleach related.

Since being here on this forum, I've come to like other animes more so then Bleach, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop coming/posting here just because I look forward to Bleach less then I might something else.

I joined because I love Bleach back then. If I had ever said Bleach suck, then I don't really mean ALL of Bleach sucks, but maybe certain chapters, characters, or plotkai sucks. Overall, Bleach keeps me interested enough to read it.

And this forum is called ClubBLEACH, not BleachPortal (BP's the mother site).

And I'm not only here for Bleach. I have a division, friends, etc. Plus I enjoy writing and RPing.

So in other words, you don't have to watch Bleach to be a member of ClubBleach anymore.

Sure, I joined when I loved Bleach. I still do, in some ways. I want to know how it ends, for example.

But other than that, liking or disliking Bleach has very little to nothing to do with my membership anymore.

Well, to sum things up, everybody here probably joined becasue of them liking or being interested in 'Bleach.' But, opinions change, moods change, and people change. Personally, I enjoyed bleach better in the SS arc, I do beleive the quality, and the story have kind of fallen off, and find it more interesting to read the manga, rather then watch the anime (I'm like that okay). I joined these forums recently after, picking up bleach (yet once again) looking for a community with variety, that also shared my interests. And from what I've seen in the forums, I can say, that even if I was to start hating bleach, I'd still be drawn in to post here due to the community/mentality and warmth of this place. In regards to the 5k posts members, with a low view on bleach, it isn't bleach drawing them in here. It probably is why they joined like I did, but this is a varied community, with varied people, varied views and interests, and varied topics.

I was a little disapointed when I found out Aizen's true motive. It's very cliche'd and is used alot in shonen. However, Bleach is still an extremely high-rated manga and it deserves it .Tthe show did die down a bit after the SS arc, but that's to be expected (a show can't be absolutely amazing forever). The HM arc is the exact same thing as the SS arc but instead of SS Ichigo and friends are in HM. It seems kinda stupid, and that's what I'm really disapointed in, but I'm sticking around for the Winter war. That's really gonna be something and I can't wait for it. I also want to see how the series ends. I can't just follow the manga for this long and then quit.

I watch Bleach because it rocks. There is so much that Kubo can do with it, and I want to see how he ends it.

I joined CB becuase I can chat about Bleach with people who are seriously into it, or jump into N00b forums with people Sandal Hat, Tobi, Evander and Undy and go nuts and not care. CB has become a new home for me, and I plan on staying here and enjoying it's unique community long after Bleach dies off.

I just read the manga now, which I admit is in a boring spot now, but that can change.

I agree with socrlax24, this is a stupid thread. Because the inital question does not require a forum thread to answer.
People join the forum because they like Bleach, that doesn't mean they don't stop liking Bleach later. Just because you stop liking Bleach doesn't mean you leave the forum.
People join this forum because they have friends in real life already on it.
People join this forum because of the large userbase and an interest in another animes/mangas that are discussed here.
People join this forum for the gfx/art/writing topics.I joined because of my interest in Bleach, I still like Bleach, and now I read the manga as well as watching it which I didn't when I first joined. But I would say there are many anime and manga titles I like better than Bleach now, and I also feel Bleach isn't as good as it used to be. But I still enjoy it.

I wouldn't have found out about many of those other anime/mangas if it wasn't for the users on this forum. That's one reason I'd stay here even if I dropped Bleach completely.

Same goes for Dattebayo. Yeah, I was awaiting their release of this last epidode, and the job they did on 151's ending is messed up, that doesn't mean I think they suck. They just did a bad release this time.

It's apparent that a majority of posters here just got bored of bleach and my story for joining was the same. I only post here because i love the anime/manga section here. And i agree whole-heartedly with what nx6 had to say and i'm sure he answered the general idea of the question.

as to the why do we watch bleach i started watching cause my friends did and i got stuck in it ever since, its been a bit dissapointing lately though with the whole HM arc, but im really looking forward to the zaraki vs nntoira fight

I used to be a Naruto-Fan but after i watched the first 15 episodes of shippuden i was un-impressed by Naruto's growth. then at 12:00 AM August Something, i opened up the TV and...miageta yozora no hoshitachi no hikari

I enjoy watching Bleach, even if it is just standard shounen anymore. The SS arc was amazing, in the anime and the manga. But anymore it doesnt have the spark it used to. The manga drawings seemed to have declined in detail and quality, and the HM arc just seems full of miscellaneous fights. It was one of my first anime, so it has its own special place that cant be filled by any other anime.

I joined the forum because its an anime forum that talks about anime, has a good amount of members, and they all at least like or used to like a show that I enjoy. I am also a member of the Naruto forums, mostly because Naruto was my first anime and I still enjoy it. Even though their is so much more wrong with Naruto than Bleach.

One of the reasons I follow Bleach is for the personal enjoyment. The series is very entertaining due to the storyline, action, certain characters that I like and watching everything brought to life through animation. Sure, there have been some episodes which I did not particularly favor, but I will not discard the show completely based on that. As long as Bleach is in existence, I will certainly be there viewing it and reading the manga also.

I watch the Bleach anime because sometimes the manga is confusing because you cant tell whos hitting who. Some people dont seem to like it now because compared to the SS arc, which was bleach's peak as of the moment, the current arcs are crap. I used to watch for the blood and fighting (Kenpachi and Ichigo), but the animators dulled it down...a lot.

I watch it for the fighting too. Also it's always nice to see the manga in color, with animations, and voices. I'm not too fond of fillers, who isn't? Overall it's a solid Anime imo.

Great characters, great plot, intruging mechanics and story lines. Its a well rounded series and quiet enjoyable and I must say its my favorite anime out of all the ones I've seen
Oh and the hot women.
i agree completely!!! great everything... even tho i havent really watched many diff. anime shows. (naruto, shippuuden, death note) bleach is by far my favorite out of all of them... the only reason i turn on the tv anymore is during adult swim to watch bleach... freaking love this show!!!

I watch Bleach because american cartoons are all meant for little kids, and have storylines that never evolve and progress. I don't watch live action american shows because works of fiction are better portrayed in the anime format.

I bother with the bleach anime because seeing my favorite manga scenes animated is awesome.
I.e. spongebob... hate that retarded show... all they have on tv anymore is stupid shows like that... and now bleach barely ever makes an appearance....

I watch for the story and the characters. I also see a little bit of myself in Rukia too. I just wish AS would air Bleach again instead of what is currently airing Death Note.

I dont watch anime on TV, so I dont really mind what they air. But I would say that with Death Note's growing popularity it almost makes sense that they show it instead of Bleach.

I watch Bleach because I became obsessed with the manga, which I still read and love to this day. I'm also really into anime, and I've already seen almost everything out there that's decent. Bleach is one of the few continuing series that I enjoy.

Bleach started off well with pretty decent plot and action packed sword fighting scenes but seem to be getting more and more draggy (holding back bankai, etc) and the plot looks repeative to me. Pls take note I'm not refering to the manga.

Yea, I started off watching the anime but when the first of the fillers started, I switched to the manga and I have to say it's a lot more interesting.

But I love Ichigo, both on paper and on screen. He's a complete moron in my opinion but a lovable moron. And I adore Rukia though she seems to get pwned in most battles. The two of them and my own curiousity as to how they are going to wrap up the current arc are the only things keeping me watching.

Oh, and to see if they ever bring back Nova. I love my Nova he's adorable. :biggrinlo

I watch Bleach because, frankly, it makes me laugh. A lot.

All of the characters are individually, it seems, fairly moody or quiet, but whenever they're thrown together with some additional secondary characters they always end up acting completely ridiculous in some fairly idiotic ways. I think it's hilarious a lot of the time.

Plus, I like seeing people release their swords and seeing the new bankai as they show up for each character.

The anime has dragged a bit, the Bount arcs didn't help it at all, but hopefully it's going to be picking up speed now that they're focusing on Ichigo again.

I saw somewhere in this topic that "people, who don't watch bleach probably wouldn't join this forum" <- this is simple, but all true ;)
I watch Bleach for few months and I cannot say whay am I doing it. It's probably, because most of my friends(who are watching anime) watch Naruto. I don't know why but I hate Naruto, so I have choosen ♥ Bleach ♥

Most people watch Bleach because it is almost second to Naruto in popularity. People find out about it, watch it, and want to discuss it. That's why they join the forum.

I bet that 99% of the people here found out about Bleach because of it's huge popularity and watch it because it is so popular. Actually liking the anime has just become a given to them.

Bleach was my first anime that i watched so this might be a die hard statement
but BLEACH IS THE BEST - it is drawn realy well it has a good story line and the fighting is gnikcuf off the hook.And bleach is not that popular all around the world no one knew about it where i come from i only found out about it from an friend from indonesia

i joined this forum because i loved bleach..especially during the SS arc..although i havent really stayed on top with the episodes i still read the manga so i come here to see what other people think about the current chapters. i admit that i lost some interest in bleach but i still like it and i really want to see how it ends. and of course i post in topics other than bleach so now i also come here for things other than bleach related topics.

Well, I read the manga mostly but I watch the anime to see my favorite parts animed and just to see how it looks actually animated.

Other than the Ulquiorra kicking Ichigos ass part that just aired I'm looking forward to another big battle thats coming up soon in the anime and in the the long Syzeal fight there are gonna be some things I want to see that are coming up.

^^ i started out that way and wound up loving it the same... though both naruto and ichigo's lack of strength, and naruto's (capt save a uchiha who don't want to be save) attitude are both becoming taxing to the point i watch it now waiting for them to get their ass whoped and honestly both shows are better then the crap they show on american tv.
