And now I need to think on how his half twins soul is going to act since its only half so some of his psyche wont be there and how will that affect the remaining half.

This entire Level 4 story is totally fishy. IMO the writer rushed things, thens lowed things, then rushed them again.

Actually, yes you can trade your starter Pikachu, however if you traded it back the Pikachu won't be able to follow behind you anymore.

But then you can evolve it after you trade it back, so take your pick.
