View Full Version : Jacques' Room
As you walk down the 3rd floor hall, there's a simple sign on the front door, "Jacques' Room." The Door is sometimes locked and other times unlocked. Rather dark, he has blinds over the window, and inside is a messy bed, a desk with papers and books piled everywhere, and a table with a chess board set on top of it. Next to the board is a small book with seemingly random characters:
1) d4 d5
2) Nf3 Nc6
...
The desk is covered with books, but a small book sits alone and unmoved: Beyond Good and Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche. It's been translated to English in the book, but it's very old. A torn checklist is on top of a stack of books: Voltair...
As Jacques walked in, some flowers rested on the windowsill. Eh...?
He picked up the flowers, looked in the vase, and put them back in. Well, that's a nice thought...
The table behind the door had a bottle of wine resting on it and a note nearby.
"Take this to Rave. You two can have a small celebration, and the wine glasses are at his room."
This smells fishy... oh, wow, Chateau du Pop, one of my favorites!
He ran to Rave's room, wanting to have a drink.
Lenalee watched him as he ran down the stairs: "I wonder what he's rushing around for."
Above, a man with black hair, white coat, and glasses watched.
Jacques stumbled back into his room.
'I feel I could sleep for a week.'
"You need to. It's not like you'll have any extra time; especially with her around."
'Give it a rest already, ok, Lamia?'
"I'm just saying..."
Laying down on his bed, Jacques slowly went to sleep.
'You know, thanks. I probably wouldn't be alive if it weren't for you.'
"Thank me when the time comes."
He slept sprawled out on the bed, the door unlocked.

Angie went looking for Jacques and saw him entering to his room. She wanted to call him but he was already inside closing the door. Trying not to attract too much attention she went to his floor and knocks softly the door.
“Jacques? Its me Angie can I enter?” she said on a soft tone of voice.
When he didn’t answer she tried a bit more loudly but no one answers. She thought for a moment to enter then she reconsidered it.
For a couple of minutes she debates then on a sudden impulse she opened the door. The place was a bit out of order but clean. Looking thru the whole place she found Jacques sprawled out on the bed with only his pants and boots on. Blushing deeply Angie close her eyes and said.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to barge like that I…” she stopped when she saw he was deeply asleep.
Getting near him she kneels in front of him near the bed. His hair was partially falling on his face and he still even got his glasses on. Softly she moves the hair and took the glasses off. His face was peaceful and he looked even more handsome than when he was awake. Not controlling herself she gave him a small kiss on the nose making him move a bit. Startled by the sudden move she back up a bit and heard him mumble something. Embarrassed by her boldness she took a blanket and covered him so he could not catch a cold. Her heart was beating fast and hard and her hands were trembling she went out of the room but before she took one last look at Jacques and whispered
“I love you Jacques Hook.” And she left to the kitchen in a hurry pace.

Jacques slowly wandered back to his room, thinking about what he was going to do from now on. Komui had allowed his sister to stay with him, but something didn't feel right. He had killed his parents, and now he had no home. He could only give his sister one.
"Seems that I have many people to care for, but there's only two who truly matter to me..." he muttered.
He walked through the door, wings folded. His sister slept on the bed, peaceful, crying and smiling as she laid there. He poured a small glass of wine, walked over to his sister, and sat in the chair next to her. He ran one hand through her hair and watched her calmly. The tears stopped running down her cheek; all that remained was a smile. His heart warmed a little, knowing that she probably would never forgive him for what he had done. He took a sip of wine out of his glass and set it on the table. Pulling his jacket over him like a blanket, he fell asleep.
