View Full Version : Bleach Tournament-Battle 10 [Possible Spoilers]

The rules for the battles are as follows:
1. Each character can use any attack that has been shown in any non-filler episode. If the character has not been shown much, since a certain level of speculation is to be expected, it can be used (Ex. since Halibel hasn’t been shown fighting, her strengths must be speculated about, so she is still a plausible candidate for a battle)
2. You are not required to post a comment about whomever you vote for, but if you vote for a character that has to be speculated about, please at least post your reasons for voting for said character even if it is just because you like the character.
3. Do not purposefully come in and vote for someone that you think will lose just to try and push a weaker character through the brackets. This defeats the purpose of the tournament.
4. All limits placed on Lt. and Capitan rank shinigami are considered lifted for the battle.
5. When considering who to pick as the winner, assume they are fighting in an area devoid of objects that could be used as weapons in battle. This is purely a fight of strength and skill, not who could throw someone else down a cliff or impale them with a rock etc.
6. This is a free for all battle scenario. So even if one of the brackets were to have three Espada and one Shingami, they would not team up against the Shinigami and then battle it out amongst themselves. In other words, even if some combatants would normally team up, they don’t here.
Please follow these rules, and if you think I have really overlooked something important, PM me and I’ll consider weather or not to add it(or if I double posted one character etc.). Also, the combatants are final, if you think I left someone good out, and this tournament goes over well enough for me to consider doing another one, I’ll put them in it if they would fit. I chose characters that are either main combatants in the anime/manga, are not filler characters (let me know if one got in by accident), or if they are popular (as far as I know at least).
I chose the characters for each bracket by assigning them a number and drawing four at a time out of a bag. So the match-ups are completely random.
Another note, you must still follow the general chat rules for CB when posting comments about the current bracket. Since it is almost unavoidable that spoilers will be in here, at least keep them to a minimum, and please use spoiler tags. Remember, just because one of the characters hasn’t been shown in the anime (or dub) does not mean that by reading their name, someone that doesn’t know them will find out any information that might ruin their experience of Bleach. So, again, please still use spoiler tags if you’re going to talk about plot details that haven’t been in the anime yet. [Winners of the previous matches are bolded.]

It's a toss up between tousen and lisa, but I went with lisa right now.

She is more mysterious and she IS a vaizard, so we know she is decently strong. Plus she has the potential to have a bankai (it's assumed all vaizards have shikai)

As far as we know tousen isn't a vaizard.

Thats my opinion at least.

Some would argue komamura, but I don't find him in the same league as lisa and tousen.

Oh and a little off topic but still..

First on this one as well anubis :D I was studying (finals this week.. :() for a while and hopped on randomly and caught you making the thread... lol

Tousen's bankai spells the end for anyone who can't totally dismiss their fear - at the moment, only two characters seem to fit that criteria - Aizen and Zaraki.

So Tousen GMV. ((Besides the fact he's one of the three main antagonists.))

Tousen hands down. I'm willing to bet Lisa only has shikai, and even if she had bankai, it would be made completly useless, assuming it doesnt have like some heatseeking attack.

Tousen, since even Zaraki took time to get adjusted.

Against Lisa:
If she suffered a fatal cut she wouldn't be able to recover the way he did, I assume.
Also her abilities so far haven't shown anything that can pick out someone not using any of her five senses, nor does she have an attack like senbonzakura that dissipates in every direction.
Going all out strength would achieve nothing.

Against Sajin:
Not sure that Tousen's bankai can encompass Kajin's bankai tho. That huge figure could smash its way all the way through Tousen's bankai. This would be the hardest match up really.. which sets it up nicely for the actual story.
If Kajin's bankai flails his arms around, Tousen's going to be in a bit of trouble.
Tousen can still hear and "see" where Kajin's bankai is. But another factor is when he goes to stab Kajin... does he have enough strength to actually do enough damage to Kajin before Kajin finishes Tousen?

It's doubful.

Against Ikkaku:
Really..? He's just a mini version of Kajin. No increase in strength in speed tho, just raw power. Same as Lisa's Vaizard form, except she exp increase in both. It's useless, especially if he has to "power up" to do his most powerful attack.

Majority for Tousen

+rep to anubis24354 for organising this Tournament

I agree with Dec.. it would be difficult battle between Tousen and Komma but I think that overall Tousen would be able to deal with most of the competition with the only doubt being Komma.. so with the majority going towards Tousen..

Tousen GMV

Personally I believe against Lisa, Tousen's bankai would just make her useless, and by comparing their sizes I'd say he could do significant enough damage to her to kill her rather swiftly. Mainly because she's not so big that his sword would get stuck while slicing her in half.

Komamura, on the other hand, isn't even really human. I'd be willing to bet that during the time he spent with Tousen he learned how to battle with Tousen while Tousen was using his bankai. So I'd say Tousen would recognize the futility of even going into bankai, and just wear him down the long way. In the end I think that Tousen's speed and sheer intellect would be what would determine this one, but again I think he'd come out on top (also, though this is less substantial, Koma strikes me as one of the weaker captain).

@Dec: Thanks, it's actually a lot of fun maintaining this :). It's got several weaks to go, but I can't wait to find out whom ends out coming out on top. The second wave of votes is where things are going to get really interesting, everyone will have eliminated at least a majority of those that they think are weak.

@Twister: Congrats on getting the first poster title again :P. You lost it there for a little bit.
