"Hiya! This is Komui at your service!"

The Exorcists stood silent at Komui's stupidity.

"So how's everyone doing on your next mission so far??"

"We just go here Komui! Nothing is happening!" Everyone yelled at Komui, who was clearly ignoring them.

"Fine fine! Don't expect anything out of from now on, hmph!" you could hear the long sighs of the Exorcists listening to his blabbering.

"I'll make this quick since none of you want to talk to me! Remember, there has been rumors that General Cross has been there, if he has there should be a clue that he left behind telling us where he went next. For all we know he might even be where you guys are still, now wouldn't that be some good news!?"

"Yeah, you told us that already Komui.."

"I know, I just wanted to tell you again! So go run off now and do your little search, okee dokee!? Remember though, be on gaurd there may be a lot of Akuma there, and even the Noah. But I'm sure you guys will be fine this time!"

"Alright we get it Komui! Sheesh!"

"Okaaay! Komui OUT!"

Yeeeesssss! A mission! A proper mission! Flathalas jumped and twirled around in a little silent victory dance, then quickly composed himself before anyone noticed him. It was something he was getting increasingly good at, this dance thingy. But though a day-dreamer he might be, Flathalas knew when to draw the line between work and fun.

Now, Komui said Jacques would be in the same mission as me ... I wonder where is he?

"Oi, you... hurry up, I'll leave you behind.." Kanda gave Flathalas a cold stare.

"B-bu-but! Our other teammates aren't here yet Kanda-san" playing with his fingers, he looked back at the Black Order HQ, hoping to see the other Exorcists arrive soon.

"Fine... I'll give them 2 minutes... If they're not here by then, we'll leave them and head to the train. Understood bean sprout?"

B-bean ssp-prout?!

"I'm not a bean-sprout!" Flathalas protested angrily. "I have a name, and it's Flathalas-"

"Trainee." Kanda said.

Shucks! How did he know that? All anger dissolved from Flathalas immediately. Thankfully the others are not around to hear this.

"And we're leaving in 1 minute 50 seconds. I haven't seen you before. You're new, aren't you? If you aren't confident about your control over you Innocence you better back out now."

Flathalas pretended he didn't hear. His first real mission and he got promptly paired up with the legendary Kanda and his Cold Attitude. Great.

Guys? What's keeping you? I don't wanna be stuck with him myself!

Miyu came running towards Flathalas and Kanda, nearly tripping herself as she ran. She slowed down a few paces off so that she was merely walking when she waved.

"Hey guys! Am I late? Sorry if I am, I just heard about the mission from Jacques so I didn't know 'til a little while ago."

"We're sort of in a hurry, so if you saw Jacques back there then-"

"Oh, hey Kanda-san! You're on this mission too?"

"Yes, but we're leaving in-"

Miyu had already stopped listening and turned to the Exorcist.

"I don't believe we've met yet. Hi, I'm Miyu."

Kanda seemed angry as Jacques wandered over, staring at Miyu. He didn't even notice the other exorcist waiting behind Kanda.

Why is he here?

"I can't believe you're already angry, much less at Miyu."

"And I can't believe I had to wait on a bunch of fools. Get on the train now."

Jacques looked over the bridge. Why does it have to be a train... I hate having to jump onto them.

Kanda yelled at Jacques and kicked him over the side, "Go faster, you're always so slow, fool."

((Where's Tye? We need to have him make an appearance...))

As Jacques was kicked over the edge of the bridge, Miyu took the chance to jump herself, so if she slipped she'd have someone around to help.

Landing on the train's roof on both feet and arms spread wide for balance, Miyu proudly found it was a better landing than usual.

She turned and glanced forward to see how Jacques had landed.

Hiro jumped down on top of the train with his hands in his pockets acting cool, he landed next to the female exorcist whom he hadn't had a chance to meet yet.
Hiro stood up straight and stared forwards deep in thought.

Brother...I WILL find you one day...

Jacques was lying face down, his arms making dents on the train as he fell. His face also made a dent on the tin roof of the train, and his eyes were spinning.

Miyu looked over and asked, "Are you alright Jacques?"

Jacques looked back, holding his nose, and said, "I think it broke my noise."

Kanda shouted above, "It's an improvement."

Others began jumping down.

((I hope everyone likes the reference. :P))

((After Hei catches the train in the below post...))

Hei saw Jacques messing with his nose as Miyu watched. Kanda let out a small retort, aimed at the entire group: "You're too idealistic. I might remember you, but only once you're worthy. I forget those who die, they're nothing more than petals crushed underfoot."

"Damn, I'm not getting left behind!" Hei rushes towards the overpass that the previous exorcists had just jumped from.

As the others were standing up to head inside the train, Hei comes to a stop near them, rolling to lessen the impact.

Looking up, Hei regards Miyu, Jacques whom he had previously worked with, a new acquaintance Hiro, and Yu Kanda.

"Ah, greetings" Grins a nervous Hei.

((No problem, I'll fix the old post.))

Everyone went inside. Kanda made his intentions clear: "I'm only going to do what they've asked me to. I've already had to find a general once, and we're not going to be pressed to find another. Especially with you all."

Jacques nodded. The last time someone went to find Cross, they had to go halfway around the world. But does he have to be so rough about it, especially with those who don't know him?

Kanda continued with his explanation, and the same bellhop from before looked in to see Jacques. He quickly left, gulping and shaking.

((Your turn to finish explaining, Ryu, since I have no idea what you have quite planned for us...))

"It wasn't all that fun searching for the General, that much I know.." Kanda put his head down trying to rest in his seat.

"But what exactly are we here for Kanda?" Jacques finished his sentence. Kanda looked irritated at him that he even asked the questions, and stood up in his seat again.

"I don't know much, but Komui told me that there should be clues in the city we're heading to. It could be from physical clues to the people who met him in the city. We're going to have to search around the area and see what we can find." coughing in his fists to clear hsi throat, he continued, "And there may be some Level 2 Akuma, or even Level 3 who are searching for clues that will led to Cross... And maybe even the Noah will be there... they may destroy the clues before we find them so we have to get them before they do. Understand?" Jacques nodded to him.

"Yes, I understand Kanda."

"Good, now don't bother me until we get there..." he clutched to Mugen and closed his eyes, trying to rest.

((You should arrive in one more post, then you can begin searching for clues...and you will run into trouble, I guarantee it =P.))

After listening to the explanation of they're mission, Miyu went to sit down. She ran her index finger down the side of her boomerang, think of how the damage she had dealt in the training grounds had been minimal. How was she going help if a Noah showed up.

Sighing, she gazed out the window.

The train arrives at the station bordering Poland and Germany, on the Polish side.

Hei gathers his things from his room, and steps into the corridor meeting the rest of the exorcists. One by one they shuffle off of the train and onto the stone pathway running beside the train.

As the group is standing inside the station, they meet with a finder who had been awaiting them. The finder gave them the names of a few places Cross had apparently frequented in town.

Again wordlessly stalking off, Kanda is on his way.

Wonder if he realizes he's worse than some of these kids. Suppose one of us should start a conversation. I don't do well in crowds, this'll probably be an uncomfortable trip.

Sighing softly, continues onward in the company of his exorcists team members. Pausing, Kanda holds up a hand to halt the exorcists.

"Information is extremely important" Nicholas says to a small akuma next to him. "If you don't have the correct information, it could vastly change the outcome of a battle." The Akuma looks at Nicholas with a blank stare. "So then.. what is the point of this mission?" He asks the akuma. The Akuma's stare is still blank and empty. "Information of course."

Nicholas is traveling on a train, naturally, to a destination he's never heard of, and if you asked him to say it now, he'd still not know. Uncle E wants to deter any sort of way to communicate with General Cross, arguably his biggest threat.

Nicholas played with a coin, moving it between his fingers, rolling it up and down his fingers. He drops it on the floor by mistake.

"Shoot."

Ryuzaki
12-23-2007, 12:13 AM
"Nicholas-sama! Nicholas-sama!" Christopher came running to Nicholas as if something terrible just happened. "The- the Exorcists are at the train station and are getting off the train. What are your orders Nicholas-sama?" Looking from left to right, Chris looked as if he was still missing something important. "And.. the Exorcist Kanda, is with them... this is worse than I expected.... And I looked around for clues to Cross's location, but I haven't found anything yet... my deepest apologies..."

Kabane

"Calm down Christopher. We do not work on the Exorcist's schedule." Nicholas said, still relaxed with his legs propped up. He gently lays them on the ground, grabbing the akuma boy, Styx, behind him. "We will act as we need to. Come with me." He walked towards the door.

"There IS a lake behind us... isn't there?" He turned to Christopher.

Christopher stutters but manages to say "Y-y-y-es."

"Good" Nicholas replies. "The first thing we'll do is slow them down."

He raises his arm, motioning towards the lake. The lake begins to evaporate, an eerie and thick yet familiar fog about to cover the town.

"Stay close." Nicholas says. He steps off the train and strides into town, feeling that the inhabitants are quite confused about the fog. He can feel their hands moving up and down, as if to guide them.

"Now they're just like me... blind." He mutters.

Jacques asked where the nearest inn was, so that they could have a place to report to. "It's over 3 blocks west and 2 blocks north of the station, but there's a bit of a trail to get to town. You have to go around the lake."

Several people at the station watched him intently, wondering what the strange manner and combination of the people in the group.

He looked down in his jacket, the small metal stakes that looked like crosses, with a strange drawing on the middle. I'll have to thank Johnny for these, and for the canisters. In his left hand side pocket were three canisters like the ones he had used in the previous mission, and the right was weighed down by the metallic crosses. Instead of carrying his book in his jacket, he moved them to a small leather pouch on his belt.

As they were walking along, Jacques suddenly got nervous. I wonder what's going on. But something about this area doesn't seem quite right. He turned to Miyu: "How's Rust?"

Miyu smiled, ready to say something, and Kanda raised his hand, making no more movement and the group fell dead silent.

"Y-y-yes my Lord.. anything you say." The air thickened even more than before, Chris began breathing harder, harder and harder as the air thickened slowly with the water from the lake.

"My Lord, what a magnificent mist you made! It's even more than the time you were in Germany." the fog continued to thicken until you couldn't even see your own hands in front of your face.

"Nicholas-sama, how will I get around the town now in this fog? I know you can easily go through this without even trying. But I cannot get through at all..."

"Just follow Nicholas-sama somehow, he'll take care of everything." Styx said confidently to Chris while holding on to Nicholas.

A sudden fog descended. Kanda gripped Mugen. Others stood ready, hand on their innocence. Jacques' hair turned green, and his eye a deep emerald. Something near the town was controlling it. The Fog went up to his face, then, something broke. He cried out in pain.

Kanda turned around. Green shards from Jacques' hair faded into the mist. His hair soon returned to its usual brown color.

"Jacques?!" Miyu shouted. The others didn't know what was going on.

A violet bullet flew out of the mist, and Kanda blocked it with his sword.

"Show yourself!" Kanda ran into the mist, Mugen drawn. He soon faded from sight.

Several dozen orbs left silhouettes in the mist. My eye... What in the world...

((Well, let's start, shall we?))

Kabane
12-23-2007, 03:36 AM
((not quite.))

"Christopher... come here..." Nicholas said.

"Yes my lord?" He asked.

"Tell the akuma to strike in this mist. Attack the exorcists." Nicholas ordered. "When I lift the mist... that's when they stop."

"Yes my lord." Christopher said. He relayed the message to an akuma and returned to the same spot. He wasn't sure if Nicholas and Styx were still there, but Nicholas reassured his presence.

He walked easily through the fog. Seeing every person, every bug, every move. He knew when the leaves swayed, or when a raindrop fell, he knew when a bug jumped, or a bird flapped. He knew everything in this mist, while everyone else... knew nothing.

The streets were dim, sections of the street illuminated by the occasional street lamp, where even there, the visibility was minimum at best. Styx and Christopher stuck with Nicholas very closely. Nicholas saw a lavish looking hotel that scratched the sky. He smiled.

Nicholas led Christopher and Styx to a five star Hotel named Montecello. They entered the sliding doors. Christopher and Styx seemed to be relieved that they could see.

"Strange weather we're having." A bellboy said.

Nicholas nodded at him. "I know... it's as if someone placed this fog here."

The bellboy chuckled.

"Finally! I can see!" Christopher exclaimed.

Nicholas walked up to the concierge. He decided not to draw too much suspicion to himself and only asked for a normal suite. Nicholas gave the concierge his credit card and went up to the room.

The room was bright and seemed to be laden with gold, or at least much of the room was gold plated. It was two stories, a rarity, even in the most luxurious hotels. Christopher and Styx seemed to be content. Styx was quite used to this treatment.

(Yikes! Sorry guys, looks like I live on the opposite side of the planet. =( I promise to check more often)

Fog. So thick Flathalas couldn't even see his hands, much less his companions. He heard Kanda shout something, but the exact words were lost to the fog. Somewhere to his right, the Exorcist Jaques cried out in surprise/pain?

"You all right?" Flathalas shouted.

No response whatsoever. This is certainly no normal weather condition. More likely an Akuma-induced one.

"Innocence, activate."

Allen's arm would evolve upon activation, Kanda's sword would glow, and Flathalas Xe's would do nothing. Whee. How nice. Flathalas sighed inwardly.

There was no point in trying to make sense out of the fog if the enemy was intent to reduce visibility. Closing his eyes, Flathalas concerntrated on his other senses, primarily his hearing. So far there was no movement yet. So what were they waiting for?

Tactics, tactics. So what would your first move be, Akuma?

Flathalas was surprised to find himself smiling.

Miyu unstrapped her boomerang from her leg and head it defensively in front of her. Jacques hadn't responded again after his initial cry. And she recognized the fog. It was like the heavy fog they had run into upon arrving in Germany. This wasn't a coincidence, she decided.

Taking a few steps back, Miyu nearly jumped as she backed into Flathalas, and spun around, bladed side of her boomerang ready. She couldn't even see passed her reach in the fog.

"Who's there?!"

Kabane
12-23-2007, 06:14 AM
Boom.

A raspy jutting piercing noise struck the ground. Pieces of earth flew everywhere, into the sky, towards buildings and trees, and at the exorcists. The exorcists seemed to have scattered at the oncoming assault.

Many Level 1 Akuma's have made themselves known, myriads of beams shot through the mist. Lucky for the exorcists, the fog does not pick sides, as the Akuma had just as much difficulty shooting at their intended targets as the exorcists have.

Alerane
12-23-2007, 06:29 AM
As the assault began Miyu turned her attention back to the thick fog as attacks kept coming through it. The Akuma were here.

"Confession's Lash, activate!"

Miyu felt her Innocence weapon expand in her hand even though she could barely see it. Watching the thick white fog and dodging attacks that flew too close, she could just mak out the hovering silhouette of one of the level 1 Akuma. The gold side of her boomerang heating up she launched it into the air at her target, and it sliced through the fog, vanishing from sight.

There was a screech from the akuma and the boomerang returned to Miyu's hand through the fog. One down, Miyu thought.

Ejarel
12-23-2007, 06:32 AM
"Who's there?"
Flathalas breathed a sigh of relief. This is definitely not something an Akuma would say. Akumas he met tend to have a thing for dramas, prefering dialogues like "Die!" or "I got you now, Exorcist! Muah ha ha ha! "
"Miyu?" At least, it sounded like the Exorcist.
But whether he was heard or not he had no idea, for there was a terrific boom which signalled the arrival of Level 1 Akumas as they made their presence. Violet beams of energy flew everywhere, and one of them sunk to the ground less than two feet away from him.
Flathalas unsheathed his dagger but otherwise held his ground. Level 1 Akumas did not possess the ability to conjure mystical fogs, and hence, the Level 1s must be acting as decoys to hide the main attack.
"The main attack must still be hidden somewhere. This is a decoy!" he screamed.

Upon hearing the shout, Miyu rolled her eyes and shouted back.

"Either way we can't just ignore them, decoys or not!"

A beam came close to Miyu's right foot but she jumped away quickly, catching her balance a second later as she searched for a new target.

As the fog descended, Hei began concentrating on his ability to detect heat. Able to draw a rough outline of where the other exorcists were, he noticed when two came close enough to contact each other before taking comfort that for the moment no enemy was at their backs.

Quite a large sensation of heat moving preceded a bombardment from unseen Akuma.

Damn, if I were better at that we could have least known a general direction.

Akuma bullets were raining indiscriminately down, aimed at nothing, aimed at everything. Shards of the street, adjacent buildings and sometimes people were scattered into the mist.

Moving in towards where Hei had pinpointed an Akuma, Hei stretches his hand forth, gathers energy into his palm and releases Enrei. The serpent of indigo flame streaked forward towards the Akuma, impacting into the front of the creature before coiling around. A wave of Hei's hand erupted the serpent into flames, consuming the Akuma.

As a side note, creating bright flashes in a dense mist alerts nearby enemies of your general direction. Hei was forced to move every time he released any power.

Tch. Can't use my lance in this, getting that close with unsure footing would just make me an easy target as soon as I stepped on something noisy.

Thumping into a structure hard with is shoulder, Hei moves along the wall, where he hears a sound whirring through the fog. Peering around the edge though he can't see anyway, an object spins through the mist near enough to Hei to cause him to leap back.
After this he heard two of the exorcists conversing.

Guess I'll sneak over there and see what these two have going.

Sneaking was difficult as he would occasionally release Enrei to destroy a nearby Akuma.

"Either way we can't just ignore them, decoys or not!"

Actually, Flathalas had an inkling that he could. After all, he was trained by his Shifu (means teacher in Chinese), or sensei, to dodge attacks coming his way while remaining fairly in the same spot.

Well, technically. One, he could see his opponents then. And they had used their fists. These annoying Akumas used firearms.

"Chheeatss!"

Screaming like a banshee, Flathlas threw himself into a trio of Akuma who got too close to the ground. In a deft fluid movement he sliced the nearest Akuma into two. But the other two remaining reacted much faster than he expected. Even as the fallen Akuma's severed pieces crashed onto the ground, the two opened fire upon him, forcing him to throw himself to one side. Ironically, Flathalas had stood between the two Akumas. At point-blank range they could not miss each other.

Boom! Boom!

That was too close. Way too close.

As if listening to some sort of strange sonata, Nicholas moved his hands in the air, listening to the piercing music of the Akuma's blasts in this mist. Styx and Christopher did not possess this all seeing ability that Nicholas did, and saw it as strange, if not absurd, though they dare not question his actions.

The pain was gone. He could still feel the energy flowing through him, but it wasn't as great as before. What the...?

A bullet rang through the air and went between his arm and his ribcage. My eye still isn't responding properly. I'll just have to fight as is.

An akuma appeared before him, letting out some cry. Jacques appeared above it; "En Passant." The akuma crashed into the ground, exploding on contact.

Several other silhouettes appeared nearby. Two shields appeared above his hands, and they soon seperated into 4 different pieces, each between his fingers. They're only level 1 akuma, I'll manage.

"They're having an easier time defeating the Akuma then we thought Nicholas-sama. I'll take care of this problem so you don't have to dirty your hands with them." Nicholas didn't say anything back to Chris, "I'll be back then Nicholas-sama.." Walking through the fog, he could barely see the explosions of Akuma and he couldn't even tell where the Exorcists were.

"I don't know where everyone is.. butI have a good way to find out!" punching the ground with his right fist, a tidel wave of dirt headed towards the general direction of the Exorcists. "There's no way they detect my attack, and no way they can hope of avoiding this.."

As a new attack hit, it was different from the level 1 akumas' random assault, and Miyu couldn't avoid it as it came from the right. Holding up her boomerang int front of her, she threw it at the dirt attack, making a break into it, so only minor parts of it hit her. Damn, that was too close.

As her boomerang came back, she threw it again immediately, aiming beyond her sights in the direction of the attack. She listened for a sound.

He stared at the Akuma head on, as a rumble came forward; The ground shook. A tidal wave of dirt came forward, crushing the two akuma before him. His shield reformed, but the wave's pressure was more than what could be easily handled. The tidal wave hit it face on, Jacques pushing it back. It began to slow.

Crack. Crack. Crack. The transparent shield began to crack under the weight of the earth. The wave stopped moving forward against him, but it was still over him, and crashed down. The shield broke, and Jacques was buried up to his neck.

So long as no more akuma appear, I guess I'm fine. Now just to dig my way out.

As Hei stopped and moved, stopped an move in his spastic battle across the blinding mist, he felt the ground trembling slightly.

Instantly pausing and dropping low to try and listen for a direction, he only has time to realize its coming from behind him. Furtively leaping away from direction of the growing roar (which is not helpful, only instincual), Hei materializes Ryuujin Senka, lands kneeling down and holds the lance tip buried in the street, using it as a brace.

The wave or earth slammed into him, winding him and covering him in a different kind of blindness. Luckily he was not laying prone, due to using his lance, and was able to apply enough force being in a suitable position to slowly push his way up. Provided there wasn't too much dirt.

After clambering on top of the soil he realizes his luck had indeed turned for the better, there was no more than one and a half feet of soil that had landed on him, as he was directly behind some structure which had blocked a large segment of soil, and been partially crushed in the process of.

This isn't working. I have to be able to locate them better. It's something I can do if I can just, concentrate on it. Concentrating during battle was a forced requirement for Hei, as everything he did required creating the appropriate image.

As things were, Hei could get a general sense of where close proximity heat generating sources were. If they happened to be floating, they were likely Akuma. What he needed to do was detect heat from further away, and to enough of an extent he could actually be mobile without careening into objects.

Suppose there's no crying over spilt milk. Rather than bemoan this situation, I think I'll try to locate those two from before again. Or whoever, I don't feel picky at the moment, long as its not Kanda.

Wandering into the mist, Hei uses the slightly calmer aftermath of a larger than average scale technique to cover ground, and soon finds a new set of heat sources, listening quietly to ensure he doesn't casually walk up to a few Akuma/Noah he waits til he recognizes the voice of one of them.

At this point Hei walks towards the exorcists, quietly calling out that he's approaching, and not to shoot him with anything.

Flathalas shook his head, most certain that his previous fall had somehow induced this funny sensation. But the debris on the ground were vibrating along with the ground as well. Through the thick fist, he swore he could hear a faint, but steady rumbling.

First the fog, then now this? What is going on?

And then the tidal wave of dirt hit Flathalas.

It swept him right off his feet, throwing him off-balance. Too late, he reached out for an anchor, finding none. The moving energy of the sudden attack was too much to resist, and Flathalas was carried away along in its mad frenzy. The sky bacame the ground; and the ground became the sky ...

Innocence, activate! Activate!

When the tidal wave finally swept past Flathalas, he was sore, bruised, and utterly disorientated.

Ouch ...

The boomerang barely scraped Chris's leg and returned to the user. "Damn that Exorcist... they cut that attack pretty close this time."

As the fog continued to lighten up little by little, Chris could barely see a few of the Exorcists bunched up together in one spot. That's a bad mistake to be together like that, especially with me... Grabbing the hard dirt beneath him, Chris started to mold and condense the land mass to him, making it easier to hold on to. Chris took a big chunk of the landscape the size of a small house in his hands and threw it as hard as he could towards the Exorcists from behind. "Ha, they'll never see it coming.."

As Miyu caught her boomerang there wasn't much of a response from what she hit. Damn, it must not have done much. Miyu gritted her teeth angrily. Why is my Innocence so damn weak?

Focusing on Confession's Lash, holding it tight in her hand, she tried to synchronize better with it by willpower. It seemed to respond slightly.

Then that was as the impact hit from behind, and she swung arond, holding her bladed boomerang defensive above her head and spinning it. Rock weighed down, but not as much as she expected. Glancing up, she saw her weapon had changed. She had achieved a level 2 Innocence.

Her boomerang hand split of into a cross shaped, four point throwing device, two gold parts two bladed parts, the dirt sizzling and frying on the heat of the gold portions.

The ground was shaking, again, but this time, Flathalas was in no shape to resist. Gripping the hilt of his dagger in a death grip, Flathalas repeated his command.

"I-Innocence, activate!"

Flathalas didn't know what to expect, but then again, he didn't really think the dagger would somehow just "activate". While he had seen other Exorcists activate their Innocences, he knew right from the start that his was different. His Innocence didn't require forging to maximise synchronisation, didn't react in any visible fashion when activated, didn't do anything. More than once he had to rely on his training to safe his skin.

His Innocence ... was it all a lie? Was it why he was always going out in safe missions?

He didn't know. Too battered to move out of harm's way, Flathlas tightened his grip on the hilt.

"Ac-ctiva-ate ... "

And then the tidal wave hit him, instantly burying him.

"Some of them must be completely covered in the ground by now... if that's the case then they're in for a rude awakening.." Kneeling to the ground Chris placed both of his hands on the recently disturbed dirt. "Now you'll see how it feels like to be smashed by the pressure of the ground around you.."

A loud rumble echoed through the trees and through the ground, sounding just like an earthquake. The landscape around Chris quickly condensed even more than before and became extremely compacted. "Now everyone who underground will be squished to death or suffocated.. haha. "

As the ground beneath her shook Miyu looked around, not able to see many of her comrades through the mounds of dirt and fog. She could however just barely see a silhouette of something farther away, seemingly crouching near the ground.

"I might as well try this new weapon form while I have the chance," she muttered, taking it by its center and pulling it back then flinging it into the darkness. It accelerated, cutting through the mist, and hit its target, burning a bit in the process. Flying back, it came stright to her hand without her even needing to move. Sweet!

As a large crash occurred nearby, Hei sees bright flashes in the mist. An exorcists had somehow blocked or at leased decreased the effectiveness of the enemies attack. Shards from this flew towards Hie, pelting him with a minor assortment of scrapes and cuts.

Stumbling back, Hei places his foot wrongly on some unseen object, twists to avoid falling on his back and instead lands in a kneeling position.

Enough of this. Closing his eyes, Hei envisions an outline of his body. Coursing through his body is his Innocence, of which he needs to draw more from. It's all there, but he can't use it.

Pathetic. How many years have I fought Akuma. I've never really grown in that time. I was turning away from my Innocence, rather than embracing it. God I hate this fickle thing.

Concentrating on his image within his mind, Hei creates a series of 'circuits' throughout his body, spending a small amount of time on each, aware of the passing time. Then, slowly and without hesitation he opens the circuits throughout his body.

The effect is immediate, power courses through Hei's body as the limitations of his Innocence have just been reduced.

"Innocence, Level Two." Yes, that was what this was. His hair and clothing began to softly wave in the currents of heat around his body, and more importantly, Hei could sense heat to a higher precision.

I don't want to continue to give away my position either. Hei holds Ryuujin Senka out before him, and imagines a different form. One he could never make before, due to the complexity of the structure, particularly in the string.

It was a bow he formed, a dusky, almost black bow of a simple yet elegant design. Holding this new weapon in his left hand, he places his right as if he were going to set an arrow. Extending two of his fingers forwards, Hei envisions an arrow, which begins to materialize from the small swirls of indigo energy put off from his Innocence.

Looking around, Hei can now tell where each exorcist is through their heat signatures, or to be more precise he can see the shapes of humans who are not fleeing for their lives. Most likely exorcists.

And from the direction that the wave of earth had come, a figure was placing its hands into the earth, and a loud rumbling ensued.

Guess thats the one.

Taking aim for the center of the source, Hei looses his first arrow, which soars through the mist, and towards the unsuspecting attacker. They wouldn't have guessed Hei could 'see' them now.

The air once again grew colder, it sends a chill down your spine and makes you shiver. Hiro saw that Hei shot a arrow at the direction of where the fog was, so he held his palm in front of him in the same direction and he shot 10 ice in the form of swords.

"Hello Debra." James replies. "As can be heard throughout the city, a series of blasts have impacted near the train station. My team and I have deduced that this is due to an underwater volcano that has become active from under Lake Montegue. This Exorcist may be able to see me even through the fog now...I've got no choice... I have to use that technique and get the hell out as fast as I can!

Escaping to another tree, the Exorcist spotted Chris and prepared to fire another fire attack at him. "Take this Exorcist scum!" Chris punched the ground as hard as he possibly could, splitting the ground in two and creating a massive fault under the Exorcists, causing most of them to fall down to the darkness.

"Heh, that should slow them down a bit... I would stick around if I wasn't surrounded by so many Exorcists..." Dashing through the bushes Chris hoped to escaped them without being noticed.

He pulled out several small metal rune-written crosses and threw them at the ground around him. Whoever was nearby would also feel the impact, but at least it wouldn't ruin them. Something similar to a rounded dome tent appeared above him.

The tornado seeped into the ground. The force lessened only a small amount, the water threw the crosses out of the ground. It spun and spun, colliding with Jacques eye. The pointed end flew straight in. A small hole flew open, and the cross entered that void. It closed, and his eye cracked like a gemstone with impurities.

As Hei climbs to his feet, he looks for the others.

Flathalas gasped. The fact that he could draw breath was more than enough proof that he was alive, but how? He was supposed to be buried under tons of dirt, wasn't he?

Apparently not. Incredibly, his Innocence had protected him.

His hand was still gripping the hilt in a death grip, but the silver blade was gone. Instead, in its place was a dam like structure in front of him which had shielded him from the worse of the attacks. Impossibly, the structure was made of water and dirt.

And Flathalas had just survived both a water-based and dirt-based attack.

Was that the true power of his Innocence? To mimic the power of all incoming attacks as a form of counter?

Perhaps. But he could sort this out later. Standing unsteadily to his feet, he saw Kanda, Jacques (they seemed to be arguing over something ... ), Hei, Miyu and Hiro. All accounted for. Flathalas sighed in relief.

Despite his previous lack of control over his Innocence, he had not caused anyone to fall in the skirmish. Thank God.

Flathalas could not agree more. But where was the Noah? From the way the tide of water had froze, it looked to him that the source of the Noah's attack had originated from north, near a hotel he had seen earlier. But then again, he wasn't so sure. If he could just see through the thinning fog -

Abruptly, breathing became a tad harder. Incredibly, the fog grew thicker, more solid, in front of his eyes.

Shoot.

Everyone, safe perhaps Kanda, all seemed to be in terrrible shape after the Noah's battering attacks. For the Noah and the remaining Akumas to give up on their attacks now seemed slight. Turning north, Flathalas pushed himself doggedly northwards. His vision was starting to blur out, but he didn't care. In his pocket was a single flare-light. Perhaps if he got close enough to the Akumas, or better yet, the Noah, he could ignite the flare and direct the others' attacks towards their foe.

Well, one of them hollering isn't Kanda, the one stumbling forward wouldn't be Kanda, and the other one threw that boomerang. Kanda's probably carrying Jacques then.

Reforming his Wil'o'wisp's, Hei sends the three orbs out to the exorcists who are scattered in the field. Zipping in close proximity with their faces to be seen, they hover about a moment, then move off steadily towards the location of the Exorcists carrying the other exorcist, not getting too far ahead. Hei was hoping they would realize they were his, and not try to break them.

((Yeah..ok lol))

Hiro got up from the chair as he was starting to get bored, he went outside and walked around the lake, 10 minutes later he started to get hungry.

I'll go and get some food.....Maybe one of the Exorcists might've wiped them out already though..haha...

Hiro went back inside and went into the dining hall, he got a plate of food and sat down, beginning to eat he saw that the manager was coming over and he asked.

"Sir, you aren't going to eat everything like that member of the Black Order are you?" The manager asked nervously.

"Don't worry, I won't." Hiro replied.

He finished his meal and was walking back to the receptionist he told her to leave a message to the other Black Order members that he was going out to town.
He went outside and began walking to town.

"The Order's here! The Order's here!" Several women outside shouted.

Hiro looked on, and they ran right on by. "Where's Marian?" The one in front shouted.

"You mean those black-coat guys? They're in the back. I'm making food for the last of..."

The mob ran on back, beating on the doors as they went. Kanda walked out, "What the hell is this?"

The women looked on with bright shining eyes. "We want to see Marian~"

Kanda replied: "When was the last time you all saw him?"

"Oh~ Mr. Cross was here about two months ago~" A few fainted.

Jacques looked on with disbelief. Two Months? Two WHOLE months?! He could've gone anywhere by now! Kanda looked on, rather upset, ready to yell at the chatty women.

Jacques walked in front: "Alright, two things. First, do you have any wine to take back to Marian? And Second, we'll ask him to come back when we get in contact with him..."

Kanda kicked him on the back of the head. Not again... "A coward, and now a thief? You astound me trash!"

They looked over, and the rest of the women had fainted...

They both had a blank stare on their face.

((We could head over to the main arc now... Unless Z-Blitz wants to beat us up again on our way out.))
