Character's Theme Song

Some songs reminds me of certain characters from books, movies, anime's, etc.

So which songs would be good for which Bleach character? As in, suit them... like a theme. And why does it suit them?

I think this will be interesting as it provides insight into what people think of certain characters - and whether they actually bother to see beyond face value. Of course, it's fun as well ^^


The dozens that I had in mind escape me atm.. Anyway;

Maybe for him. The song has a suave feel to it, with almost wicked lyrics.


Shrinking Universe - Muse

Lyyrics.. mood of the music. The wail that conflicts with his outward appearance but seems to symbolise his persona.



Like now if you think about it Ichigo wouldn't die no matter what so it kinda went hand-and-hand with the song faint. If you don't know the lyrics its, "I can't faint the way I did before don't turn your back on me i won't be ignored time won't tell this damage anymore don't turn your back on me I won't be ignored"

Papercut goes a lot better with it (heh, both Linkin Park) in regard to [U]Hollow Ichigo

I would totally agree with you, but LP is SO overused in everything (although they are one of my favorite bands) so I choose not to label anything with it.

Hm, for Ichigo I think I would pick Fuel - Won't Back Down. As the song says, "he won't back down" and ha s several meanings. Can be easily used for his fight with Ogichi or with Byakuya. I'll link the lyrics here because I think it would be overkill if I post it whole here.

Rukia is totally Evanescence - Missing to me.
That is probably my favorite song of all times. Very literal too, mostly aiming at relationship with her adoptive brother, because that is part of her I am interested in the most.

I always associated Renji with Within Temptation - Stand My Ground
Especially the line "I won't close my eyes and hide the truth inside". Here I'm mostly referring to his fight with Ichigo, where he finally realized he should have defended what he feels - the truth instead of and after he fails to protect Rukia himself he begs Ichigo to do it in his stead - "if i don't make it, someone else will, stand my ground". The song is really mighty and powerful, as his two falls were. First with fight between Ichigo, and next with Byakuya.

As for my favorite character, I like Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
Self explainatory really, but I also thought of giving him Linkin park - What I've done, but that would make me hypocrite now wouldn't it? :p

I think the sad mood goes with Byakuya, and near the end it cracks, like he did. As for the lyrics, he likes to walk alone, but for what reason? :)

But I prefer to keep him with the instrumentals really. E.S. Posthumus - Nara would be my first choice. Really strong song (the Cold Case Opening Theme if you don't recognize it by the title)

I haven't given this sort of thing much thought to be honest. With regard to hollow ichigo, i've briefly pondered how well Breathe, by Prodigy ,would go during those times he was "breaking out"... but that'd be about it. With little relation in the actual lyrics, i somehow doubt it's appropriateness. Good song though, i'd be interested in seeing it. :D

The music of Breathe goes well with anything and everything, so besides the lyrics really, its a fine choice.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh good choice. I had a good one but I forgot the name of the aritist, all I can remember is the name of the song which was "I need a hero". I say this will be the perfect song when Ichigo rescuing Rukia.
Note I prefer not to use this for Ichigo rescuing Orihime.

Do you mean Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler? Not really my kind of music if it is what you mean, but it's definitely got the lyrics to back it up eh. I can't say i completely understand your reasoning behind it being for Rukia and not Inoue though.

I'm mostly a Guilty Gear fan and Guilty Gear has music(themes) that fits whichever characters in the game. For a while, I matched the GG themes with the Bleach characters. I hope this is a valid post too. The themes are also remade into English vocal versions. I don't think those who never heard of Guilty Gear will believe in these lyrics without hearing the music first.
