Multi form Zanpaku-to?!?!?

ok, so I was stting here thinking, when I got this Idea, it went something like this: Each character's Zanpaku-to is an embodied form of their energy, correct? Well, if that's true, then I wonder if it would be impossible to change the look/type of your Zanpaku-to. I don't mean change like to shikai or bankai, I mean like change as in water type to fire type, or fixed blade to a blade the can extend forever without end. I think it seems possible. This is, however an opinion thread that I created mainly because I couldn't find anything that I colud post about anywhere else, so have fun with this. :redbiggri

I suppose that through time the zanpaktou-avatars can change somewhat because of the things that the shinigami goes through that cganges his personality a little. But as for changing the type I don't think so. And if it can happed I think it would be like erosion, happening so slowly it is un notiecible.

Some things may be subject to change during someones life as they get older like there personality for instance and this may change the look of there avatar and maybe there soul slayer. For example Urahara, I doubt his Soul Slayer was a cane when he was like 19 or so, whenver he got his shinigami powers

changing appearance of avatar or Zanpakutoh might be possible as things around them changes. But i don't think that you can change types actually, maybe your ability can change to another ability which is similar to your previous one. let's use a simple theory of Star Wars, maybe your ability is an ability of light light, but somethings turns you into such a evil person your ability became dark powers

even though light and dark powers are the opposite, what i meant is example your ability makes you very powerful when your in the light, whereas when you turn evil your ability makes you very powerful when your in the dark

ok, let's make this more of a "What if" type question, What if you could change your Zanpaku-to's type, shape, abilities without releasing it?

perhaps if you have multipersonalities, it might change as in the colors, maybe like imagine if ichigo has two personalities right, when the other one awakes, Zangetsu turns white instead.
interesting topic here, but i don't think it can change the basic ability coz that is given to each blade its own, if you are using the same blade, perhaps it might be too far fetch.
This is similiar to someone i met in a forum who made a fan-fic blade where it can absorb all abilities of other zanpakutous making it the ultimate blade to counter all attacks with the same weapon. this is rather the same thing.

perhaps a change of usage method? maybe one uses it better than the other and customized its looks to respond to his needs?
