The room filled with dark matter everywhere, candles were lit everywhere imagined, it was a room like no other to train a sharpen your battle skills. Noah and Akuma have been here many times before, and they still continue to come here training in order to demolish their greatest enemy, the Exorcists.

______________

- Anyone can join here and spar, even Akuma
- You can reach your next level here if you want, as long as you have enough EXP Points to do so.
- You do not gain any EXP Points here though.

Constantine, after his mission in Lebanon, Immediately came to this room in order to develop more techniques in his arsenal.

"Oi, so you've come... care to spar with me for a little then?"

((Anyone can spar with Constantine if you want =P))

((assuming Ryu is deleting Midare's post.))

Dies strode into the room, his sword slung lazily over his back.

((note Dies has a new outfit, btw.))

"Lo, Constantine."

He smiled. From the look on Constantine's face, it was quite clear that he had the same objective as Dies. Training. Dies pulled Rinnetenshou from it's sheath on his back.

"I figure you're up for a little battle, then?"

((OOC: Ryu, no rping of each other's characters at all? And only general stats - no damage/hp, for example?))

((Yes no stats, just good old fashion RPing =P))

"Hmph, so you want to take me on Dies eh? Well I heard through the grape vine that you have a new move... I also have developed new techniques.."
Raising my hand I sent millions of radiation particles at Dies, who barely dodged it due to his great speed. "Not so fast boy." making the invisible rays behind him, I made them solid and rammed Dies causing him to fly back.

"Not bad Con-" Using the light as a source of speed, I immediately came up to Dies, forming gamma rays around my fists and legs, and threw punches, left and right in his face and abs, making him slide back. Spitting out blood, he immediately healed his wounds.

"Haha... that all you've got!?"

Rinnetenshou!

Dies stepped in close to Constantine, pivoting around by placing his weight on his left foot, and swinging Rinnetenshou in a sweeping arc, the dimensional blade cutting a hole in reality as it drifted towards Constantine's torso.

As Dies was coming across me with his sword, I quickly leaned into him grabbed him wrist, stopping his blade in mid-air. "Tisk tisk Dies... know the distance of your opponent is at all times." I said to him calmly while waving my index finger at him. Holding his wrist still so he wouldn't be able to attack, I quickly formed the gamma rays on my right arm and pierced Dies through stomach.

"This is how you fight boy..." I tightened my fist and ran my arm through his stomach completely, cutting him in half. "How do you like my new tactics Dies?" I watched as half of his body fell on the ground.

"Don't worry, you can still regenerate..." I fixed my top hat and brushed off the blood from my gloves.

"Stop."

Both halves of Dies faded, leaving nothing but empty air at Constantine's hands. Dies walked behind Constantine, tapping him on the back.

"Try that again."

Dies smiled connivingly.

He clicked his fingers, and Constantine suddenly found himself standing on the sky, with the ground high above him.

"A distortion of perception. Not one of my newest tricks, but a trick nontheless. By warping space, your senses don't work anymore."

Dies dissapeared from behind Constantine, reappearing in front of him, clicking his fingers.

"They get confused. You see, right now, you think back is front, left is right, and up is down. Maybe now we should begin."

He leapt backwards, kicking off Constantine's chest and landing with Rinnetenshou drawn. He was stood straight in front of Constantine. pulling his katana into a striking position, he rushed at the other noah.

The echoes of the dimensional world ran through the room. The laugh of Dies could be heard throughout the dimension.

"Hmph... hey kid... you better know the art of deception before jumping into battle like this." Silence filled the room for a few seconds, "Here, I'll show you what I mean.." the snap of my fingers echoed through Dies dimensional world, and my body in the dimension dispersed into light, evaporating in the room.

"I see you perfectly boy... that was a light clone my friend, you haven't done anything to my real body this whole time... hmph.." I waved my hand and sent a huge amount invisible gamma rays through out the whole room hitting every corner every space. Dies muscles and bones were completely fried. As he fell to the ground, the many light clones that I produced came out of the walls one by one, standing next to all of the walls.

"I win this round Dies, let's call it a day..."

((You know what you want to ask next Dies. =P))

"Really?"

Dies clicked his fingers and a small tear in reality appeared in the center of the room. It acted like a vacuum, sucking in all the light and descending the room into pitch black darkness.

"Now, how do you intend to use your powers?"

Dies' voice echoed around the room like a gunshot. He couldn't see either, but it didn't matter...

"Ah, i'm only messing with ya'. "

He clicked his fingers again, restoring light to the room. Dies began to step towards the door.

"Fatman probably wants us. I just hope he hasn't found out what i've done with Road.

[Road Kamelot]

...Somewhere in Nevada Vietnam.

The small Noah child burst out of the brown sack like a cornered tiger, slashing with her fingernails. Then she looked around, Realized Dies wasn't behind her anymore, and that she was in fact surrounded by bright green forest. And mud.

lots of mud.

She glanced at a small wooden signpost, dug into the bog.

"nearest human being: 700 miles"

She hurled back her head, screaming.

"Come with me to Venice." Nicholas stated. He paced in a circle, kicking a rock to and fro. He looked down, avoiding eye-contact with Xavier. He had already spoken to two other Noah, Xavier was the last on his list.

"What for..." Xavier asked. Xavier's arms were folded, his weight balanced on one leg. He tilted his head slightly as if agitated that Nicholas had stuck him in the training room just to ask him a simple question.

"Back-up." Nicholas answered. He halted, and looked up. Xavier looked puzzled. Nicholas? Back-up? Hardly.

"Back-up? You? Need Back-up?" Xavier tried to contain himself. His left hand was covering his mouth shielding his rumbling lips.

"Yes, back-up. I expect exorcists to show up soon. Many exorcists. Certainly even you would be intrigued, especially by that...------" Nicholas said to him. Xavier's eyebrow raised.

"I'll help you, on one condition." Xavier said, sticking his index finger in the air.

Nicholas rolled his eyes, but this was to be expected. "That being?"

"Beat me in a match." Xavier said.

How cliche...

"If you can beat me, and they can beat you... you'll need my help. But if you can't beat me, no wonder they can beat you... and you're beyond my help."

witty.

"Never realized the french settled their arguments on the battlefield. Always thought they were too pansy for that."

"Watch your mouth, Nicholas."

"Yeah, yeah."

Nicholas and Xavier started to circle each other. They stared at each other while their right shoulders were pointed at one another. They walked at the same pace.

"I'll give you the first attack." Xavier said, as he bowed gracefully.

"Tch." Nicholas snapped his arm, it moved rapidly from a lower position, parallel to his body, to extend forward, pointing towards Xavier. A mass of earth was lifted from the ground and jettisoned at Xavier.

Xavier mumbled his lips. "Internal Flame, release yourself." He raised his palm, and a large ball of fire was released. It collided with the pile of dirt and both the dirt and flameball exploded. Nicholas raised a wall of earth to block any flying debris while Xavier shielded vital parts of his body.

The debris seemed to cease. Xavier could be heard coughing across the field which was currently clouded with smoke. Wasting no time at all, Nicholas pushed both his hands forward, putting much of his weight on his right leg which was extended forward. The wall of Earth that was previously protecting Nicholas was shot towards Xavier, obscured by the smoke.

Xavier coughed. The wall of earth was only a few yards away when Xavier noticed. He coughed again and mumbled "Rising Earth, give way to my power." Xavier moved his arm up, but by then it was too late. The wall of earth was partially blocked on the bottom, but the rest had struck Xavier who is now under a pile of earth.

"Had enough yet?" Nicholas called out, among the dust and smoke.

Xavier's coughing continued.

"I'm sure some of that is from smoking." Nicholas called out again.

He's very cocky. Xavier was starting to get annoyed.

Xavier rose to his feet. "Internal Fire, fuel my lungs, ignite my breath."

Nicholas chuckled as Xavier opened his mouth releasing a fast stream of flames. Nicholas flicked his wrist and a wave of water came to his aid. The cloud was still present in the arena, but not of smoke and dust, but of fog and mist.

"Here comes another earth wall" shouted Nicholas. He pushed his hands foward sending not a wall of earth, but of water. Xavier attempted to reply to a suspected wall of earth with another, but once the water impacted the earth, it grazed over and passed it completely. Xavier was drenched.

"What are you doing? Playing with me?" Xavier said, angrily.

"No, I just want my help to be a little bit more prepared than it is now." Nicholas cleared a path between Xavier and himself. The line of sight was clear and unobstructed.

"You see," Nicholas began, "incantations and names for techniques are inefficient. After the first confrontation any good fighter would remember what name is assigned to one attack, and worse for a fighter like yourself, I can control two elements. So that leaves you with 5 choices: fire, lightning, air, dark, and light. Your incantations give you away. I know what to expect... Change from that."

"What's the point of saying your attacks anyway? Is it because your attacks come from those words? Certainly not. Then what's the point?"

Leiko had left the battlefield and she was pissed as usual. She thought while wandering around the Earl's dimension: "Tch... I guess I'll go to the training room, maybe I can find a victim, I mean, one of my 'brothers' to work this anger out"

When she was near the room, she could see how Nicholas and Xavier were walking inside. Unusually curious, she followed them inside the room.

Once she stepped in, Leiko could see how the two Noah were circling already, glaring at each other

"What is this... a cats fight? she said to herself, right in that second, Xavier whispered something she couldn't heard clearly but he was bowing for some reason.

"eh? why is he bowing"

The Nicholas raised his arm and pointed his finger to Xavier, attacking him with pieces of the ground and then it came Xavier's counter attack, a large ball of fire.

"It will be nice if they killed each other in this training. She though while grinning.

Then the ball of fire collided with Nicholas' attack, that and the fact that he blocked Xavier's attack made the room full of a thick cloud of dust.

"tch... these two really enjoy throwing stuff at each other..." Leiko said in a sigh while trying to disperse a little the dust with her right hand. "...men are so amusing sometimes... but they are a bother at the same time."

The she felt someone holding her wrist in the middle of the cloud and debris.

"Hooo... do you think so?" Said the one holding her.

"Tykki, I'm not in the mood of hearing you now" she said looking at him.

"Such a bad temper for a beauty face like yours... Such a waste".

"Get lost" Leiko said, while looking away, focusing on Nicholas and Xavier's battle again. Tykki looked at her smiling and then looked at the fight as well.

"Some day you won't say that Leiko" he said grinning. She didn't answered to this statment.

"You know what they say about boys playing hard..."

Leiko turned around and immediately frowned as Ruth stepped in the room, hair hair unusually kept down, contrary to her usual 'professional' look. Ruth leaned on a railing beside Leiko, watching the flashy fight.

"What do you want?" snapped Leiko, refusing to stop glaring at Ruth. "A fight?"

"Oh please," Ruth smiled, "As much as I would like to I don't have enough free time. This is still my first real break from the Earl's duties for ages."

"Ugh, don't mention him."

With a swift motion Ruth formed her sword Sacrilege and pointed it towards Leiko's face. Leiko's face not moving at all, she only raised her eyebrow, "Huh? You need something?"

Ruth only smiled cheerfully, then with one quick spin she swung her sword down then back up in a sharp V-shape, lunging forward towards Leiko. Leiko dodged the attack easily, kicking off Sacrilege's edge away from her body as she quickly ducked down to the ground, pushing herself forward towards Ruth as she started drawing her weapon.

"Too slow!"

Ruth jumped acrobatically above Leiko as she pointed her blade downwards, taking advantage of Leiko's defenseless back as she lunged forward. The sword sunk into her skin, painless, but certainly hitting its mark. Leiko grunted and scowled as she was unable to stand straight, hissing as the blood dripped down her back, her regenerative powers taking slower than what Leiko had wanted.

Leiko then ran behind Ruth's back as her eyes narrowed, releasing her fury in a single slash. Ruth managed to block but ultimately lost to Leiko's ferocity. Without hesitation Ruth grabbed Leiko with her other hand and as she pulled her, using the sword's hilt to knock her at the back of her neck.

Prepostrous.

He was right though, even if I hated to admit it. Nicholas hit bullseye at his mentioning of my incantations. They were long, and often depicted the nature of the spell that I was going to use against my opponent. It was thus the reason why I avoided using the same spell twice in a fight. Against someone as tactful as Nicholas though, I needed to be a lot faster and a whole lot more sly. Elemental spells invoking the powers of water, ice, earth or metal have proven futile against him. A darkness spell, due to his affinity to the dark side would disarmed of its power due to the nature of the realm we fought in. Fire, light, lightning, and wind. I've had a choice of 4 elements to choose from, not 5 as Nicholas stated.

Wiping off the blood from my face, I looked up at Nicholas and gave him the usual arrogant smirk that he saw on my face. If incants gave away the spell that I was about to cast, then all that needs to be done is to re-phrase an incant to create an opportunity to through him off guard. Raising my left palm to his face, while resting using my right hand on my knee, I called out for my spell:

"In my hands the creator's sword that calls eternal sleep. Honor our pact, shake thine Earth and hear my Command! Animate Earth!"

Nicholas looked disgusted as he raised his hand stopping the earthquake's shake underneath his feet.

"An EARTH spell? What are you retarded?!"

Stomping the ground once more with his feet, Nicholas shot out a massive mud wave that engulfed the area on which I stood, burying me alive in its aftermath. Before coming down with a loud crash though, I thought I'd impart one last piece of information to my sparring partner.

"It's a fire spell..."

The earth erupted from underneath Nicholas's feet as a pillar of fire, and molten lava appeared a few inches in front of him, soon to scorch his skin if left unprotected. Quick on his feet, Nicholas summoned the earthly spirits around him and formed a drench for the molten lava to sink in before it reached him. He looked at the flaming orange plasma as a smile slowly drew itself on his face.

"I suppose it could work both ways, but I wouldn't count on that if I were you. After all, no enemy would be so naiive to fall for the same trick twice, right?"

Breaking the solid ground with a burst of my manifestation's power, I came back to see the light, or so to speak. The dimlit dimension would hardly count as "light", but it most certainly beat the shrewd darkness underneath the pile of dirt and rubble Nicholas planned to keep me under.

Some blood dropped from Leiko's mouth from that blow on her neck, but she keep herself from making any sound because of the slight damage.

She stumbled walking away from Ruth, regaining her composure while holding her neck and wiping away the blood from her lips. She smiled at Ruth.

"Now brat, you just made my wish true..." she said while tilting her head to one side and to the other, making the bones there snap. "... I was just thinking that it will be nice to work out my anger from the last mission".

Then she rushed towards Ruth, suddenly disappearing from her sight and then she heard something coming from above.

"Fudo Myouou!" With these words, Ruth saw how Leiko materialized two kodachi and aimed to Ruth's neck.

Ruth tried to fend off this attack, but in a blink she felt Leiko behind her and the edge of one of her kodachi where caressing her skin.

"See Ruth... oh by the way, feel honored about the fact that I know your name and even say it.... you just got some advantage before, but being this slow you won't take me down, you're 100 years too early for that"

Ruth frowned at this and tried to hit Leiko on her stomach with the hilt of her sword again but then Leiko was gone.

"Over here brat... oops, Ruth" she said in a mocking voice.

Ruth took with her finger some of the blood coming from the thin wound on her throat and look at it, then looked at Leiko smiling. "You think of yourself as an almighty being it seems"

Leiko grinned. "You're wrong, I don't think of myself as an almighty being... I am one".

"Hehe... you're the one who's wrong"

Then Ruth made one of her acrobatic jumps aiming her attack to Leiko, who bloked it without much effort using both kodachi. Leiko glared at her, annoyed "Told you, but it seems you don't want to see it... " Leiko started to push forward forcing Ruth to walk backward, and Leiko kept talking "... you're weaker than me and..." Suddenly Ruth felt how the weight on her sword was lifted and Leiko was gone again and Ruth could see her circling supporting herself with her left leg "... and too slow" and then she cut her Ruth's back making her fall on her knees.

"Y-you..." Ruth glared at Leiko.

"oh, just think before you speak brat, or else I'll kill you and I'll have to listen at that Ou-san of the Earl complaining about it and I don't want to"

"Y-you....are so uncreative!" Ruth burst out laughing, holding her hand on her face as she tried to keep her composure. The attack on her back amused her, sure unlike her own attack it wasn't painless but, that what why it was so...thrilling.

Leiko only raised her eyebrow again and disappeared in a flash, appearing behind Ruth a second later. Clutching her kodachi in a swift motion she aimed for Ruth's neck, only to be stopped by Sacrilege. Using the force from the clash of weapons, Ruth took the chance to use her blade to push Leiko away and back onto a wall- releasing a red and black wave of energy at the same time.

Leiko shook her head as she grabbed her weapon but stopped and frown as Ruth pointed her sword in between Leiko's eyes.

"Well if I'm such a brat, then old hags like you better make way for the next generation, don't you think?"

Ruth then pulled Sacrilege back as she put out her hand, smiling sincerely, "Need help dearest sister?"

Whether she acts like a spoil or not, it doesn't matter..

"Seems like you got a little more tenacious, Frenchie. Tell me, how does it feel to eat one's dust?"

Spewing out the sand and soil that gathered in my mouth as a result of the land cave in I fell victim to, I looked at the persistent Nicholas angrily for taking this sparring match to a whole new level without informing me of his plans. Finding difficulty to stand on the smothered texture of the ground, I rested on my knees, while raising my left arm in Nicholas's direction and yelling out a spell's name.

"Fiery Embrace!"

Flames danced around Nicholas, burning his jacket's elbow before dying out of the dirt he threw at it.

"No incantation, huh? But that was probably just a fluke. Here, I'm wide open, try another one!"

Confident of my new ability now, I changed the orientation of my fingers and pointed directly at him for the bolt of lightning I've been charging to shoot at him.

"Thunder Blade!"

Evading the attack once more with a pillar of sand, Nicholas was now sure that Xavier has mastered the art of casting spells without an incantation. The magnitude of his spells may not be as powerful as they were before, but their speed makes up for that.

"That's enough for now, with this power you ca- !!!"

"Prismmatic Missile!"

Rays of light directed at Nicholas scathed his suit, tearing it at several locations and exposing his fair skin to the air surrounding him. Xavier however, could not control his excitement as he witnessed the tides of the battle turn for his favor.

"Shredding zephyrs!"

Blades of wind flew at Nicholas's body at a menacingly high rate, forcing him to take dire action against his brother for his improper behavior. Digging himself a burrow to hide in from the blades' wrath, then ordering the Earth to create a muddy embrace for Xavier to be trapped in Nicholas assured himself of victory. Wiping the dust off his tattered clothes, Nicholas looked disgusted at himself.

"Look what you've done! And here I was only trying to help you. You mook! Sometimes I wonder if you're REALLY older than I am."

Xavier was puzzled, he thought his brother called him out for an all-out battle only to be surprised by his refrained reaction.

Perhaps I took it too far. Thought Xavier, whose long black hair now reeked of the mud he stood on seconds ago.

Turning his back on him, Nicholas opened the door, revealing a bright light beyond it. With his neck half turned around to Xavier he said:

"You're coming to Venice, aren't you? I'm sure you'll have the opportunity to profusely abuse your quick spells on someone. If not, you could always kill the neighbours' cocks, they are far too noisy in the morning."

Regaining back control over himself physically, the ever arrogant Xavier shrugged and smiled saying that he'll accept Nicholas's invitation.

"Good, make sure you "remind" Ruth as well. I've already talked to her regarding this matter."

Nicholas was about to leave when he suddenly remembered something.

"Make sure you shower and fetch yourself a fresh change of clothes before you come over."

Shutting the door behind him and leaving Xavier behind, Nicholas left the room.

Ruth and I, huh? I wonder if this has anything to do with that exorcist that fool captured.

Nash and Nicholas v2.0

Echoes of footsteps in the dark room came from opposite directions of the room, one fairly steady and the other very erratic almost sounding like the steps of one dancing on the marble floor.

"Ok buddy! HIT ME! You know, hit me? Like blackjack? Hahaha."

"..."

"Oh come on! Loosen up a bit, it's a spar between two long lost brothers. Time separated those two even after being so close to each other. They find that their hopes, lives, dreams and thoughts are intertwined as the Earl brings them together for a family gathering in his backyard. Ah~ The refreshing smell of barbequed chicken filling their nostrils bringing them back to the days when they lived on the Ark, under the dazzling sun. Their burning yo-"

"What a lovely speech. Take that from a book?"

Nicholas interrupted Nash' monologue with a smile and a comment. Nash tried to conceal the fact that he knew Nicholas only said that to keep him from talking. Crushed by his "brother's" cold response, the jester Noah tries desperately to gather whatever remains of his shattered pride. He summons his massive cleaver to his hand and points it directly to Nicholas's face before making an arrogant comment of how he doesn't like fighting people who had one foot in the grave.

"Seriously, that Earl... Having me do the most ridiculous of missions. Why do I have to babysit the injured when I could be out there hacking and slashing like a mad man? More importantly, I get praised for that! I don't like shedding blood much though, and am always open for negotiations. So what do you say, you and I cut a deal here? You and I walk out of the room and proclaim myself as the winner of our little duel, when in reality neither of us fought the other. It'll save us much trouble and effort if you come to think of it really. So? What say you, buddy?"

"I'm here because the Earl asked me to be here and fight. He expects you to be the same."

Nicholas's answer came swift and direct. This "bluntness" was something that Nash was never made aware of, not even after synching with Xavier. He refused flat out, noting that it was probably for the best of them to fight and evaluate each other's powers.

Taking a deep breath in, Nash looked at the dark void above him for a second before returning his eyesight's focus to Nicholas's figure which now assumed a battle stance. His hardened carpace and characteur mask formed around his humanly figure, making him look just as fearsome as the aura he let out was.

Sorry buddy.

Swinging his sword to his back and gesturing for Nicholas to charge in with his best shot, Nash assumed his battle stance and prepared for the worst, be it hydromancy or geomancy.

"Impressive. Though I've seen better... I AM better."

Nicholas' hands were folded behind his back. Nash held his stance firmly. He was not about to be tricked by one of Nicholas' facades. Nicholas accepted Nash's period of silence as a signal to make the first move. Nicholas reaches for his side and takes a red colored ball. He held it up, having it block the sun's rays from piercing his eyes.

"Think Fast."

Nicholas threw the ball at Nash. Even if he did have the dexterity to catch the fast flying ball, it would explode on contact. The best he could do was avoid it, by running or jumping. Nicholas grabbed the sides of his waste and pulled as many bombs he could hold.

Jasper
03-04-2008, 07:10 AM
"The ****? A bomb?!"

Nash attempted to move back away from the bomb's trajectory but it was just too fast, too accurate and most importantly, it didn't look like it was going to land anytime soon. It was like that minute shining ball possessed an anti-gravitational mechanism to keep it afloat. Swinging his sword in an attempt to block whatever damage this bomb could inflict on him, Nash found himself on the defensive right from the start of the battle.

The bomb broke, exposing an omnimous gray gas into the open which Nash so absent-mindedly inhaled. He was just about to dash in for a counter against Nicholas when his left hand suddenly began feeling numb.

Paralysis?

Nicholas's smirk and Nash's immobilized arm meant that Nash's conclusion was indeed correct.

"That's not playing fair there, buddy. You never said you can create bombs and little red floating balls that make me incapable of fighting. What a cheap way of fighting. Let me show you, how a real brute fights!"

At the end of that sentence, Nash closed in the gap between the two Noahs in preparation to launch a long melee combo against Nicholas.

"Here goes!"

First came a 180 degrees kick to the jaw, elevating Nicholas a bit off the ground. A slash using the blunt edge of his sword followed to his abdomen, sending Nicholas even higher. An airborne knee skull smash and a midair grapple that sent the two Noahs down to the ground, with Nicholas's head as the cushion. The combo was concluded with a full turn slash with Nash's blunt edge of the blade that sent Nicholas flying a few meters away.

"How'd ya like that, buddy?!"

((you really want me to unleash hell don't you.))

Nicholas ate the dirt, spitting out brown bits from his gullet. His mouth still had that grainy taste in his mouth when he wiped saliva on his sleeve.

"Tch. Longer battles are to the benefit of no-one. I'll finish this up soon."

Nicholas reached for his side and retrieved two potions. Hermes and Artemis. He took their cork caps off and drank them at the same time. He threw their glass vials at the ground and they shattered. Nicholas dashed towards Nash with a movement speed of more than quadruple his original.

He returns Nash's blow for one of his own, punching Nash straight across the face. Nicholas follows his punch up with a kick directed at Nash's sternum. Nash flies back his posterior being dragged against the ground. While Nash was slightly disoriented, Nicholas threw a bright yellow bomb that was glowing with electricity. The bomb exploded just over Nash's body and summoned a heavenly bolt of lightning from the sky.

((Out of those all, I think I'd be scared the most of your Zeus bomb =P))

Paralyzed, bruised as a result of all the attacks he sustained and shocked to tiniest bone in body, Nash took a relatively high amount of damage from Nicholas. Just as soon as the dust settled from the crashing bolt, Nash rushed in again for second attack attempt, this time, the blunt edge of the sword just won't cut it.

Charging in like a feral wolverine, the Noah slashed twice against Nicholas's body taking the form of an "X" that tore his clothes, and skin alike, exposing a metal-made armor beneath it. The reason why Nicholas did not sustain the damage he has hoped he'd sustain is this "armor" of his. Retracting his sword back behind his back and assuming a defeated battle posture, Nash discontinued the battle.

"Sorry buddy, but your armor and my hardened skin will make it extremely hard for us to determine a proper winner for this battle. That aside... You still haven't even used your Earth-shake thingy or your water-sprout stuff in battle, whereas I pretty much pulled all the tricks on you here. Not to mention, I'm quite beat."

"I guess we'll call it a day then."

Nicholas bowed respectfully and moved out the door.

After hearing the direct orders of the Earl, Mikhail was quick to step through another portal, this time however, transporting him not across the world, but only across the hallway. It took him into a room where some sort of black magic was occurring; either that or the Earl had an insane love for candles. But he knew what happened here. Here, was where they trained.

He walked through calmly, observing from within the portal for some seconds. After his left leg left the portal, it quickly swivelled and swirled shut, leaving him in a room for nothing else than pure and entire training.

There were others in the room with him; he could feel it, but he could not see it. The Earl told him he would have peace of mind within the room, even from the most raging of battles. From the vibes he was getting, the battle was extremely, raging.

A candle fluttered silently in the wind, the wick still holding firm and refusing to blow out. Hundreds of the identical candle illuminated the room to such a state where the Sun itself could be shining down upon it. That was all until each and every candle began to follow the first's example, swaying with the wind. Another portal was about to open, but this time, it would spit out his first challenge.

Dies waved his hand, dispersing the dimensional door. He scratched his chin in frustration as the skin continued to stitch itself together – it itched like hell. Kujaku flopped out of the portal behind him, landing on the ground and looking up with a smile.

The Noah pushed his hair backwards. Nicholas was fighting, he could sense it. And smell it, those potions stank like hell. And… two that he didn’t know. New Noah? They certainly weren’t akuma.

“Ah.”

Through the darkness that swirled around in front of him, Dies made out a faint silhouette of a man. He twirled his hand, controlling real space to push the darkness to the walls. The room took on it’s seemingly infinite shape. In truth, this was an illusion created by the Earl. Hundreds of candles flickered quietly, and Dies could clearly see the other man.

Selective dimensions. While Nicholas is one, I, Kujaku, and this fellow are in another one entirely. Interesting.

Overlapping dimensions stably. This interested Dies immensely, simply due to the possibilities it had.

“So. Might I ask your name?”

Dies grinned.

Speech from a veteran Noah, Mikhail could tell. He saw the grin emerging from his confronter's face, only to reply with a smile of his own. A smile not for happiness or glee, but to reply in some way not disrespectful. All of it was a cover up, all for what was supposed to become of him. But enough of his babble and inconvenient thoughts. The man had asked him a question, so it would only be so kind as to reply.

"Mikhail, my friend."

With that he raised a hand out, gesturing towards a shake of hands. Surely that was a sign of equality throughout all the world; different races, ethnicities and indeed breeds must have understood it.

He waited for his reply with intent, wondering just how he would take this symbol. As a threat? Or completely irrelevant as to why he had come here?
