first of all to define the motion, this is that the west will pull out all troops, seace hostilities with and also void traid with the middle eastern nations.
On this topic i will talk about 6 points:
The diplomatic state in the middle eastern countries (MEC's)
Coruption
the conflicts in the MEC's both internal and external
the natural reasources within these countries
the religious aspects
how it would helpo the MEC's
Many of the MEC's are ruled by either princes or kings who have no idead how to rule and live a life of great luctuaryt while there people live in the harshest grinding povertie while the rest are tyranical dictators such as the recently deposed sadam husein who ruled iraque, murdering anybody who disagreed with him or insulted him, think slander being punished with capital punishment. Many of these dictators had there own private armies and took power in military cous, going from one bad ruler to the next.
After deposing sadam husein we atempted to install democracy after relecing the people from their tyrant. There is now a dem ocratic ruler but many people do not respect him and he and his government have very little power. Many of the people are still loyal to the previous dictator and so there is still fighting among the people of iraq over who should be there.
Moving onto my next point across all MEC's there is an overuling vein of coruption even among the newly enstated policeforce in iraq, anything can be bought for the right price, democratic elections, nuclear wepons or yourown private army.
To Open I Agree with the affirmative's defining of the topic "Would It Be Better For Western Nations If They Pulled Out Of The Middle East Entirely And Left The Middle Eastern Nations Fight It Out Themselves?" that Pulling Out is defined as "the west will pull out all troops, cease hostilities with and also avoid trade with any and all middle eastern nations." I also define Trade as All Current humanitarian tradings and dealings going on as well, In effect that the west would Isolate the middle east from the rest of the world.
My main arguement along these lines are that the West would be irresponsible in their status as Inhabitants of the Earth as a whole if they decided to leave these country's to fall into Anarchy and to fall under control of the strongest in each region. The simple reasoning behind this is that If allowed most country's in the region save one or two would start an escallated arm's race which would ultimatly conclude in an all out war in the region or weapons of mass destruction which are not only harmfull to the Region but to all country's across the world depending on the weapons designed and used in the eventual conflict.
A side arguement or two is that as Human beings we would be lax in our duty to ensure the safety and protection of the many innocents in the region who would ultimatly have their lifes extinguished should they lose the current protection many peacekeeping forces provide for them.
Currently with the backing of the various forces behind them the local governments are able to maintain a sense of order and peace and are able to converse in peace with their neighbors and the various factions within their own countrys. Should the western forces pull out these country's may and in all probability will fall under the control of radicalists and extremists who will destroy the regions economic stability (Though shaky at the moment there is an extablished Economy) and will eventually cause mass Anarchy, The country's within the Region which are politically and Economically stable will in all probability not follow the western's pull out and instead will use their might to expand their country's borders effectively destroying many of the country's which currently are in effect in the region..Although not a bad thing for some country's for others it will mean that many who have lived comfortably in their own religious and race centered area's will suddenly find themselves surrounded and even persecuted by these others.
To conclude my opening, If the west Pulls out of the Middle east it will cause so much instability and unrest that countless innocents will lose their lifes, Countless "Bad Guys" will find opportunity's to become nastier and the rule of the mightiest will come into effect. At the moment with western nations support the volitial nations currently in the middle east have at least peace of mind that in the event they are invaded by a neighboring country for no reason they will have the west's full support behind them.

*AFFIRMATIVE*
The problem with the world today for major powers is the fact that their economic (and thus, military and political) interests are connected and tied up with those of other nations, for access to natural resources, key markets, and foreign workforces (to name a few) which is fine and dandy in the case of relatively stable, civilized areas like the Far East , but not so good when dealing with unstable and violent areas such as Africa, the Middle East, or Latin America, and these overseas interests may force Western Nations to intervene (politically or by extension militarily) in the affairs of other nations.
That's the sticky mess global capitalism can cause the West; our economies are dependent often on foreign markets or resources (human or material) and we depend on the co operation of weaker nations, and America's strategy of bombing them into submission and setting up puppet dictatorships is only a short term solution, not to mention a barbaric one.
The Middle East of course has a lot of oil which we heavily depend on (petrol, aircraft fuel, plastics etc) and pulling out and letting them "fight it out amongst themselves" would probably impact the flow of oil into Western economies, causing all sorts of problems and tension, possibly leading to heightened competition between the Western nations for access to the trickle of oil, and giving the non-Middle Eastern oil producers (Venezuela, Equatorial Guinea, Norway etc) a monopoly to exploit. Petrol and flights would probably become unaffordable for some people (great from a Green point of view I guess). So in that sense, pulling out of the Middle East entirely right now isn't really an option, if we make the assumption that the whole place is on the brink of a massive war, a highly unreasonable one to make.
Of course, one could easily point out that if the West had stayed out of the Middle East in the first place and had not always sided with Israel, the region wouldn't be so unstable and we wouldn't have these problems.
So to conclude, it is in Western Nation's interests to pull out of the Middle East now, because if we don't, we'll only destabilize it further, perhaps creating a mess we can't fix, irreparably damaging our foreign interests. The simple fact is, we can't solve their problems for them, and it's arrogant to assume we can. Our intervention only makes things worse.
Since the time has long since elapsed and not to mention noone actually bothered to read the original post properly this thread can be closed and archived with my blessings.
