View Full Version : Bleach Tournament-Battle 14 [Possible Spoilers]

The rules for the battles are as follows:
1. Each character can use any attack that has been shown in any non-filler episode. If the character has not been shown much, since a certain level of speculation is to be expected, it can be used (Ex. since Halibel hasn’t been shown fighting, her strengths must be speculated about, so she is still a plausible candidate for a battle)
2. You are not required to post a comment about whomever you vote for, but if you vote for a character that has to be speculated about, please at least post your reasons for voting for said character even if it is just because you like the character.
3. Do not purposefully come in and vote for someone that you think will lose just to try and push a weaker character through the brackets. This defeats the purpose of the tournament.
4. All limits placed on Lt. and Capitan rank shinigami are considered lifted for the battle.
5. When considering who to pick as the winner, assume they are fighting in an area devoid of objects that could be used as weapons in battle. This is purely a fight of strength and skill, not who could throw someone else down a cliff or impale them with a rock etc.
6. This is a free for all battle scenario. So even if one of the brackets were to have three Espada and one Shingami, they would not team up against the Shinigami and then battle it out amongst themselves. In other words, even if some combatants would normally team up, they don’t here.
Please follow these rules, and if you think I have really overlooked something important, PM me and I’ll consider weather or not to add it(or if I double posted one character etc.). Also, the combatants are final, if you think I left someone good out, and this tournament goes over well enough for me to consider doing another one, I’ll put them in it if they would fit. I chose characters that are either main combatants in the anime/manga, are not filler characters (let me know if one got in by accident), or if they are popular (as far as I know at least).
I chose the characters for each bracket by assigning them a number and drawing four at a time out of a bag. So the match-ups are completely random.
Another note, you must still follow the general chat rules for CB when posting comments about the current bracket. Since it is almost unavoidable that spoilers will be in here, at least keep them to a minimum, and please use spoiler tags. Remember, just because one of the characters hasn’t been shown in the anime (or dub) does not mean that by reading their name, someone that doesn’t know them will find out any information that might ruin their experience of Bleach. So, again, please still use spoiler tags if you’re going to talk about plot details that haven’t been in the anime yet. [Winners of the previous matches are bolded.]

A Special Note For This Battle: Remember, I picked the contestants at random way way long ago, so I had no clue that Zaraki and Nnoitra would end out really battling :P. This should be interesting.

I go for Nnoitora, based on:

He is stronger than Grimmjow who is about equal to Ichigo, hence making him stronger and faster than Zaraki that Ichigo beat. Unless Zaraki magically achieved bankai, he stands no chance.

Tough one this month

A vaizard
2 captains
and an Espada
Well Hachi can be ruled out because even though hes a viazard his abilities werent made for combat like Orihime.
That leaves Zaraki, NNoi and Ichi's dad.
Zaraki is powerful yes but probably not able to take on NNoi in his current state although that remains to be seen officialy being as all he really has is brute strength which is what Nnoi excells at, and the lack of bankai for Zaki and an arrancar release for Nnoi tip the scales in his favor
What that leaves us with is Isshin, who is a previous captain and being that Zaraki is the only one to obtain captain without a bankai, ever we can assume that Isshin has a bankai and being a captain knows how to use it. Although he might have been weakend a bit being in his gigai so long and in the human world hes still pretty strong being able to one shot an arrancar albiet a natural Hogyoku less arrancar.
So I think that Ichigo's dad might just be able to slap around Nnoitora if his sons hereditary powers are any indicator of his own.

I made my choice with a bit of speculation on this one (who didn't?) Personally I think that Zaraki will win the match overall. I base this on our knowledge that Zaraki is, or is close, to being on par with Ichigo. Ichigo had a tough time beating full release Grimmjow, at least up until the point where Ichigo acknowledged that he wanted to battle partially for the sake of testing his strength. Once he realised this he pretty much sweeped the match. I think were he in better condition he could have taken Nnoitra out, though with a bit more trouble than he had with Grimm. Now, while Zaraki might not have as easy of a time as Ichigo, I think Zaraki still stands a chance (though slimmer) of winning. Also, this being pure speculation, I think that Grimm was probably stronger than Nnoitra, he just never really had the chance to prove it. Again, pure speculation, but I think that Grimm is a newer member of the Espada than Nnoitra, so he hadn't yet had the option to prove himself and earn his real rank. After all, we do know that Espada can move up in rank (Nnoitra went from 8th to 5th, though we don't know by what means). So I think that Grimm had the potential to surpass Nnoitra, however due to the messed up situation that Ichi was thrown in, he couldn't prove this by beating Nnoitra like he beat Grimm. Again, remember, this is pure speculation on my part, without any one of the pieces I have set up my whole theory falls apart rather easily. So, the most obvious facts point to Nnoitra being able to beat Zaraki. However, with a bit of imagination and speculation, Zaraki's chances increase significantly. :) (Not to mention I'm not particularly fond of Noitora.)

Oh, and just to eliminate the other two from this one. Isshin, while powerful, has been MIA too long to still really stand an immediate chance with any of the Espada or a current Captain. Give him time to get back into the swing of things and maybe, but not as things stand right now. And Hachi, well he stated himself that he is primarily a defensive type person, so unless he plans on sitting in a barrier and letting everyone else die from old age, he won't win.

The match really is, as usual, between two people.

Isshin and Nnoitora.

Since we don't know Isshin's level of strength, I'll have to support Nnoitora. Yet as Wren said, Ichigo's level is an indication of Isshin's own.

Nnoitora, atm, seems the best choice, but taking into account storyline, and the way Kubo has set this up, I'm afraid it's obvious that Isshin HAS to be much, much stronger to stand any chance in this whole arc.

@anubis24354: Even if somehow, Zaraki wins this (because Nnoitora can't release or something), in the scheme of things, he cannot be stronger than Isshin, since Isshin's role is the more significant.

Therefore Isshin would GMV.

Im with Dec on this, for all the reasons he stated and.. as far as I can see it seems that Shinji is the leader of the vaizards and for him to be completely shocked at the amount of power that Isshin has AFTER he hasnt been fighting for a while.. I'd say that he would have to be incredibly strong.

Why would Isshin be suddenly stronger than Nnoitora? Sure he may have given Ichigo a log of inherent strength, but... it does not mean that he is immediately the strongest around.

And role? What role? The teacher (or father) need not be stronger than anyone in order to teach his son a new technique.

Of course, it's much more logical that Kubo would place Isshin as stronger, but since we really know nothing of him...

It would be superfluous for Isshin to be weaker than the FIFTH espada who we have already encountered.

Of course, it's much more logical that Kubo would place Isshin as stronger

/le cough

Now don't start that again! :toocool:

You eager for moar ownage!?

But yes, of course you're right and it's possible, and of course

Since it's rather painfully obvious that Zaraki will win, and there's no way Isshin is weaker than Zaraki (that'd be kinda weird, main protagonist's daddy and all), he might be stronger than Nnoi.

But... I am going by what we saw, not by what we speculate...

Zaraki owns Nnoitra soon. Isshin hasn't really demonstrated to be as powerful as Zaraki or any of these actually.

I was going to vote Zaraki but Dec's post made me change my mind. Isshin GMV for all the reasons stated by Decado. ^,^

Wait.. what? This has nothing to do with any games. This is a tournement based on opinion and the actual anime/manga. This has nothing to do with any game.

Isshin, hands down in my opinion.

Isshin wins this round.

I'm getting ready to post battle 15, the finale of the first phase of battles. After this next one things will really start getting really interesting because it'll be back to all of the winners of round one.
