Filler Arc - A Rumble in the shadows
Jarlaxle, the tall, blond and handsome Akuma, slid through the forests of Albania, checking around. His senses told him that there was something inside the place, which felt rather disturbing even to the cold hearted monster. Still, the Earl's orders were absolute, and he was obliged by forces beyond his control to make his move. He was to investigate this occurrence, bring whatever results to the Earl, kill if necessary.
He also heard that the Earl was sending him back-up, some new Akuma Vase or Yes or something. Noting the stench, he rounded a corner to find a copse of trees strewn with rotting corpses. Apparently whatever it was killed people.

Yase quickly threw on his cloak that he had recently been given by the Earl. This was his first mission and he would prove that he could be useful to the Earl's cause and well if it meant that he could kill something, anything, it was worth it. He fingered the scar on his cheek, a reminder that he could be touched, even when he was in his human form.
Running out he saddled the horse that he had picked just for this occasion, a strong animal that would carry him quickly to the country that he needed to go.
Albania. An interesting place to be sent but nontheless he kicked his horse and began the journey to the country, to his mission, to his prey.
The horses hooves echoed down the road as he stormed off in the direction of his destination and the stars lit his way. He was to be meeting another person that would be the leader on this mission a man named Jarlaxle if he remembered correctly. He would see if this man was fit to be his leader as the night swallowed him, hurry on, hurry to your kill.

In the woods in Albania
Jarlaxle
Jarlaxle had been following the trail for quite a while now, having successfully located enough prints to follow the whatever-it-was. He smelled fresh blood and something that reminded him of crunched humans. He figured that the back-up would be here soon, so he could put it into the line of fire while he studied this strange enemy.
Near Yase
Four large beasts, gray flecked with black fur-covered monsters, looked down at the Akuma moving on his horse. He was alone and he was weak, so the beasts were ready to spring and devour him. Surrounding him, the three monsters sprang on him.
((RP kicking their asses etc., they don't have stats, so you can pretty much do anything you want with them))

Yase road through the night and consequently the day too. As an akuma he didnt need to stop other than to rest the horse. Though after the second day it started to get more tired more often so he just ate it and stole the best one out of a nearby stable. Again he set off, with the taste of blood fresh in his mouth the day seemed more interesting.
In the afternoon he came to a sign on the road that indicated that he was nearing his destination. *Albania border ---------->* He took that road and kept riding till this horse needed a break it was lucky that he stopped in a town.
He let the horse rest in an ally way near an ale house named the 'Spitted Roast' Yase thought it ironic as he picked off a drunk man leaving the tavern that he should stop at this ale house out of all in the town. "Never mind" he muttered, the joke fell on only his ears.
Again at first light he set out and drew nearer to his destination. As the sun came down on another day, he knew he was close when the mist encircled the area and the vegetation began to thicken. The forest was close.
But suddenly out sprang 4 beasts of unknown origin. Savage yet they looked like they had not been fed so they were desperate, but Yase only grinned maliciously as if it was a simple mockery by god that these weak looking creatures should think that he was the prey..
Yase shed his human form and as his body grew to take its real form the beasts suddenly did not look so confident in the moonlight. The turned tail and began to run in the direction that they had come from, luckily for Yase but unluckily for them, Yase needed to go in that direction so it was no inconvience. Pulling up his arm he steadied it and fired the high pressured cannon. He let out a roar of delight and *WOOSH* The ball of air errupted from the cannon and flew forward wreaking havoc on the vegetation.
"Perfect" Yase muttered and as the ball exploded into the midst of the fleeing beasts ripping all of them to shreds in an instant and then the ball exploded in the climax, destroying any remains that would have been left.
As if this was a normal occurance Yase took his shruken human form again and got back on his horse, picking his way through the path that had been left by his ball of infinity. "Turns out that was more than convienent" said Yase to himself.

((And now for a slightly tougher fight))
The largest of the beasts stood on a small hilltop overlooking the city. An Akuma of serious power have arrived recently, which may cut its supply of human food short. Thinking to ambush the monster on the road, it sent its minions around, to circle through the wood, so that the Akuma would be caught once it leaves the city itself.
((Short. You're going to get ambushed on the way, and this time you're going to have to fight :p))

Going back on the road Yase continued towards his destination and towards the end of the day he was attacked by more of the beasts but this time it was clear that it had been planned.
As he walked by a group of tree's the beasts launched themselves from the tops and 2 grabbed onto his arms and the other two kicked him in his human form backwards so that he fell down, the other beasts were still attached. Yase let out a growl of annoyance and quickly shed his human form.
Amazingly the beasts still clung onto his arms even though they were now giant cannons meaning he couldnt kill those on the cannons. Suddenly the beasts on his arm made a forced attempt to push his arms back pinning him to a tree but instead Yase smashed his cannon against a nearby tree crushing the one on his right arm. After seeing that, the one on his left arm began to move up his arm towards his shoulder to avoid the same fate.
The other two Akuma went in for another attack at Yase's exposed body but Yase kicked out with his thrusters and hit them with a kick of high pressured air and sent them flying back 100 metres or so. But the beast on his left arm wouldnt budge and swiped at his face scratching it a bit with the razor sharp claws. Yase would have to be original now and think of a way to get the beast of quickly or he would lose an eye. He decided to do something as crazy as he felt, he burst out of the forest with his thrusters and shot up into the air at high speed. He then rotated his body and plummeted towards the ground at crazy speeds.
The beast on his shoulder began to look afraid and Yase gave him that manic smile that said "Im enjoying your fear and if you wish to die hold on"
The beast suddenly let go in mid air thinking it faired better dropping to the treetops, oh but it was very, very wrong. Yase's grin grew wider and he let out a cackle and his arm shot out and fired off a ball of infinity *WOOSH* it crashed into the beast in midair and decimated his body and its bits and pieces rained down from the sky.
Yase slowly glided down from the sky and again as if this was normal got back on his horse and continued on his way, but not his face was lit up with a smile that most would cringe at. The smile of someone who enjoyed his job a little too much for comfort.

Jarlaxle just left the woods when the strange Akuma began beating the daylights out of the strange monsters. Enjoying the show, he noticed that another one was crawling from behind, ready to spring on the exposed back of the humanoid monster. Jarlaxle didn't worry about him, his previous show of power meant that if that wolf entertained any thoughts of an ambush he was in for a bad surprise.
To his surprise though, the wolf simply followed the Akuma for a short distance - Jarlaxle himself slid around in the woods, following them - when suddenly a howl (http://www.esnips.com/doc/402bd031-d6ff-4341-8164-138d7376fc07/1-21_-cutscene-_wolves_defeated) ripped the silence and a sudden noise followed a projectile that missed the horse's mouth by an inch. It reared, and Jarlaxle noted another wolf, this one with larger fangs and front paws, nearing the Akuma. He also noted the acidic saliva dripping from the wolf's maw.
He rolled his eyes. Military tactics and projectiles...? A lazy flick of his wrist sent a needle into the wolf's side, melting him from the inside within instants with the deadly Akuma poison. He and his horse moved forward and he revealed himself to the other Akuma.
"Hello there, I take it you're Yase?"

Yase turned around at the sound of the voice. He had not heard the other person approach but he was mainly concerned with the beasts. Though he still had to mentally compliment his silent approach.
"Yes, thats right. You must be my leader on this mission, Jarlaxle."
As the moon came out from underneath the clouds Yase saw in the light his companion, he had startingly blue eyes and the blonde also stood out in the moonlight that they bathed in for those few seconds and he could tell that his companion was also assessing him. It is difficult to tell whether he would be a help or a hindarance but he looked in his eyes and saw the malice that was necessary and even the experience that was required to be the leader on this mission and decided that he would give him the benifit of the doubt, he liked the malice part, it suited his style.
It was quiet in the forest, as if something had emptied everything, and as cliche as it sounded.. It was too quiet to be natural. Yase's neck bristled, not in fear but in excitment that could hardly be contained to meet whatever was out there picking off the humans. The air now smelled of blood and Yase knew that this would be a delightful night.
"Shall we begin the hunt?" and he grinned at Jarlaxle, a type of grin that one shares only with ones own kind.

Jarlaxle smiled. This one seemed like a smarter Dinnin, and truth be told he was becoming annoyed with the giant berserker. Of course, Dinnin invaluable powers made him an important asset, but Jarlaxle needed someone who could at least think beyond his next kill, or rape.
"Why yes, we should indeed begin our hunt," he said, grinning mischievously. He knew what they were facing, and wondered how much chance the monster had against his abilities combined with this one's.
"Oh yes, on thing, Yase. As you know something is killing our Akuma, and humans around here," he paused for a short moment, casting a sidelong glance at his new traveling companion. "They are quite smart, and so I'd like to know your opinion as to our approach tactics."
Of course, Jarlaxle already had a plan as to how to tackle their enemy, and in fact was leading Yase to a circumventing route that would take them right above the monster's cavern. He knew that luring the monster out would be a simple task. Killing it - quite difficult.

"Well in essence the creatures live in a cave and as far as Ive discerned this cave has only one entrance. No matter how smart these creatures seem, they are stupid for living in a cave with only one entrance."
He knew Jarlaxle was testing him, but Yase had already expected to be tested at one point so he had seen the cave from a vantage point in the sky using his thrusters after he fought that beast. It was in a clearing so it was most convienent that he could see it without the hindrance of tree's.
"The ideal plan would be to use something to lure the beasts out of their cave. Might I suggest the use of one of my Infinity balls on the ground. The ground near the cave seems to be dirt and if I was to hit the ground it would create a dust cover for a short time. In that time the beasts would come out from their hole and we would ambush them in the confusion. Although they may out number us, we are more powerful and we have area of effect powers that will benifit us greatly in this fight."

Jarlaxle smiled approvingly. This Yase was an interesting individual no doubt.
"Agreed. However, I have already scouted the area and noticed that those beasts have the same habits as animals, specifically, the fear of fire." They continued in silence, Jarlaxle surveying the area.
"Right there, that huge tree. Smash it."
Yase looked at his suspiciously, but Jarlaxle was right; should the tree fall, it would be right over the road, allowing for an effective fire barrier. Minutes later the tree was lying over the road and Jarlaxle tossed a needle at it, causing it to burst into flames. They were low and would burn for long, or so it seemed. Smiling he motioned for them to gallop forward, and so they did, coming in view of the clearing, standing right above it on a small cliff. Grinning, he pointed at the cave entrance, and an instant later, the beast (http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c39/SankonGanSou/Aruk_Abaza_by_rinpoo_chuang.jpg) burst out.
Lion-like and gigantic, it roared. "Who dares disturb me?" But Jarlaxle and Yase were quiet.
It was time to have fun.

Yase liked this plan. It allowed him to play with the stupid creature. The beast rushed at the tree but seeing that it was on fire it stopped and stood there looking confused. Although it was capable of speech it did not have any tactical battle knowledge so Yase would use this to his advantage.
He steadied his cannon and fired it *WOOSH* the ball exploded out and brushed by the fire, the fire was sucked into the ball and rested in the centre.. like a chocolate filling.. only that it wouldnt be sweet it would be deadly. The ball was purposefully aimed infront of the beast and exploded on a patch of grass that was away from the cave's clearing that was only dirt. Yase would use this patch of grass to his advantage. The beast quickly shyed away from the new fire, but Yase acted fast and with his other cannon fired off another shot that burst behind the beast on the edge of the grass.. essentially cutting off his escape.. but only momentarily.
Since Yase needed a little time to fire off his other rounds he told Jarlaxle to cut off any attempts that he had to steer around the side to escape to the dirt. Though the beast was stupid and began to roar and make a tantrum, but at the end it did see its chance and seemed to go towards the side that was exposed, but Yase needed a bit more time.
Luckily Jarlaxle threw his needles quickly and the beast haulted in time to miss the needles but still be caught in now what would become a ring.
Yase fired off two more infinity fire balls and trapped the beast neatly in the ring of fire. The beast though stupid knew its predicment when it realised it was surrounded by the thing it hated most. Suprisingly to Yase's dismay the beast ran through the fire though it was badly burned in the process and the fur that was on its body caught fire, the beast instictivly rolled around and tried to get the flames out but the flames were innocence induced and therfore more difficult to defeat.
(Innocence induced fire dmg 5, constant burning dmg 5 = 10)(Beast Hp = 40)
The beast was enraged now and it didnt care if the log was there or not. It charged the log smashed into it. On first charge it only budged the log a bit, that was because the log was fit in place by etches on the tree's next to it. But the next time it would surely break through.
Yase decided to throw caution to the wind and as the beast was caught up in readying its charge Yase fired a Infinity ball directly at him. In its rage and tunnel vision it did not see the ball of air and it smashed into him making him fly back and hit into a tree.
(5 damage due to intial infinity impact. 5 dmg due to impact with tree/ being sqaushed between infinity ball and tree. 5 dmg for constant fire= 15)(Beast Hp= 25)
The beast was momentarily stunned and Yase had time to think.. With Jarlaxle's moves and his moves they could defiently come up with something that could finish this beast.. but what...
((I think thats pretty long rofl. I'll let you finish the battle with the combo attack))

Jarlaxle chuckled at Yase's antics. Intelligent and brutal, the cannon-using Akuma repeatedly fired his attacks at the beast, causing it to roar. Burning and howling in pain it was already attempting to flee, but Jarlaxle already countered, this time by tossing a small bomb at the beast.
The resulting purple explosion sent the beast flying backwards, but it soon landed on its front paws, and tried to escape. Yase fired another infinity ball, but it missed by a few meters. Jarlaxle, however, had a plan. Extending his primary weapon, a large wheel with two massive blades attached to it, he threw it right before Yase's cannon, and just as the Infinity Ball blasted forward, it caught the weapon and sent it rotating and flying near the beast. The weapon was coated with poison, and as it whirled through the area, rotating and screeching loudly, it also rained acid on the ground around it, stinging the beast.
But that was not enough, so Jarlaxle decided to go for a far larger and more powerful attack. Yase's cannons would provide the necessary explosion, Jarlaxle's poison, the destructive power. He morphed into his Akuma form, his hair becoming white and his skin jet black. He formed a ball of glittering acid-green, swirling matter - strangely resembling Yase's Infinity Balls, only smaller - and put it between Yase's hands. The ball split in tow and sunk into each cannon, causing them to glow.
Yase fired again, this time a very different Infinity Ball. It had four curving blades extending from the sides, and the ball itself was far smaller, making it look like a giant shuriken with a ball in the center, about 2 meters in diameter.
The resulting explosion was ear-deafening, and a giant hurricane covered the entire clearing, accompanied by sounds like clashing blades. The beast itself was slashed and crushed as though a hundred men with swords and axes hacked at it simultaneously.
[Damage to beast 30||Beast dead]
Smiling, Jarlaxle returned to his human form.
"I'd say this was a successful field test, wouldn't you agree?"

"Yes" Yase smiled at the innovation of the technique " I would indeed"
"What say you that we team up permanently? I think we can make a pretty good fighting power and two heads are better than one. That is.. two times the heads of the enemy lying on the ground at the end of a battle" he smiled his malicious smile again.
Yase returned to his human form and went over and severed the head of the beast.
