The Nightroad Escort

Abel Nightroad packed the last of his belongings in his old, leather suitcase. Visiting Maria's grave by the roses one last time, he recited a soft prayer as a final apology to her sweet soul in heaven.

"Amen."

It was a march through his whole life. The forests where he used to get lost as a boy. The wishing well by the lake where most of his few coins would sit for each wish. Maria's house where he would visit every weekend, as she baked his favourite bread.

The procession ended at the ruins of what was the church, now finally free of the rotten desecration that was a few days ago.

"Good morning Father," said a red-haired lad with an eyepatch, accompanied by the rest of the exorcists who have helped him see the light. "Shall we escort you on your way to the Black Order then?"

"Lead the way son."

Rules:

-This is a filler arc. Minor EXP gains.

-This is for the players of the Abel Nightroad arc. Lavi will also accompany you.

-Escort the Father to the train station in the next town. Anything may happen in your journey to the town across the mountains. (And before you ask, no there aren't snow mountains :))

Martosu walked along the path, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious.

Now we have to escort this guy, even though he looks perfectly capable in handling himself? But he did save us in the end, so I guess I own him something.

Martosu grew irritated but made himself not to say a word.

Just put one foot in front of the other. It will all be over soon.

He sped up so he was walking in front of the group.

[Nightvision]

Mizaki never looked back in the group he fell behind and kept on walking minding his own business. He kept his head down thinking about their encounter with the Noah. The difference between their powers are great. Just then he realized that his journey in becoming an Exorcist was more difficult then he thought.

Next time i encounter a Noah i will be ready.

He then tightened the white glove that was on both of his hands continued walking silently.

[Yamamoto]

Abel Nightroad felt a bit uneasy by some members of the group. One in particular seem a bit, unfriendly.

The clouds grew dark as rain began to fall. The roaring thunder echoed across the forest as lightning cracked through the sky. Abel suddenly stopped, as he could feel his teeth turn into fangs, his mouth foaming as he realised something was amiss.

"A-kuma......"

[Kenken]

"Father, what's wrong?" Kimiko asked, seeing Abel getting tensed.

"Akumas are near..." Abel said, looking ahead.

Kimiko and Lavi quickly activated their innocence, ready to fight.

[Nightvision]

As soon as Mizaki saw the others activate their innocence, he did the same. Then looked in the distance to be alert. He slowly approached Kimiko and Abel.

"Can you tell which direction they are coming from?"

[Reco]

Martosu finally saw the Akumas coming closer. He counted atleast six of them, but more could be hidden in the darkness.

He took his Ssang Do in hand and activated the Innocense within them.

Running toward the first one, he peirced the Akuma with his left blade in its midsection. Martosu then used the handle as leverage and launched himself above the Akuma's head. As gravity took hold, he twisted himself so the right blade empaled into the Akuma's head. He cleanly sliced down the middle, causing the Akuma to exploded.

The explosion thru Martosu to the ground and forced the lone left blade into a tree.

Martosu walked over to the sword and firmly yanked it out. But this momemtary distraction allowed a second Akuma to fire a shot directly at Martosu. He was able to mostly dodge the shot, but it still caught him in the left shoulder.

Now that arm is mostly useless...

Narrowing his eyes, Martosu turned around and ran toward the Akuma that attacked him and sliced him in two.

Just as Martosu struck an Akuma down in the ground, Mizaki dashed forward and jumped on top of the one behind it with the tip of his blade facing down. Then Mizaki quickly jumped on towards another Akuma, cutting it easily in half.

"Fire seal!"

The last of the Akuma's bodies were incinerated by Lavi's attack, as Abel's fangs sank into one of the Akuma.

"That is really creepy you know.." Lavi pointed as he turned away from the sight.

The group finally reached the start of the mountain.

"The train station is on the other side," Abel, returning back to human form, pointed out. An hawk soared above the group as they started their trek between the ranges, resting by a river as they fished for lunch.

((Also Trainer can you please post lengthier posts than that, like more than a paragraph? Sometimes other players won't be in the same timezone as you may have to RP more than one event happening))

"Komui-san, which route is my cousin taking?" Kimiko asked through her golem when they stopped for lunch.

"He's taking the north route. You're closer to the south, but if you wish you can take go and meet with your cousin there." Komui said. Kimiko noticed that Komui was being more serious than usual. Something serious must be on, especially to be sent on our next mission already. Kimiko thought.

"I'll be taking the north route to the Asian Branch instead of the South. I'll take a train from here and go to the north of this country (Austrian-Hungary), and then go to Germany, where I'll cross the broder with Russia. There I'll meet with my cousin." Kimiko explained to the others. She also told them she would be taking the next train, which was due in 2 hours.

[Yamamoto]

"Routes? Don't you think we should focus on sending Abel to the station first?" asked a confused Lavi as he sneaked up on Kimiko.

"Eeep!" Kimiko jumped out of surprise, slapping Lavi. "Don't sneak up like that!"

Rubbing the hand mark on his cheek, Lavi stood up and looked to a praying Abel at the other end of the bank. "Don't forget we need to escort him to the station where the Finders will be waiting, just in case any Noah or powerful Akuma do any surprise attacks. Worry about the present more and focus on what's next later."

Lavi then gave Kimiko a burnt fish on a stick. "Lunch?"

[Kenken]

"okey.." Kimiko said as she took the fish from Lavi. "I"m sorry, I just want...I need to meet Takeshi as soon as possible. I got carried away..." Kimiko finished saying, taking a small bite on the fish. It wasn't bad, enough to make her feel better.

"Don't worry about it, Kimiko-chan." Lavi said, patting Kimiko on the head. Then everyone continued eating their lunch in silence.

[Nightvision]

While the others were still eating, Mizaki already finished his food. His appetite never failed him, and may cause him to eat quite a lot sometimes. But since he didn't want to bother the others in making more food, Mizaki just laid on his back and looked up at the sky with his hands underneath his head.

"The blue sky sure is plain today"

Awhile after looking up at the sky, he closed his eyes and enjoyed his peaceful surrounding.

Martosu was finishing his fish slowly and observing the others actions.

Hmm, maybe now would be a good time to test if my arm has healed..

Martosu searched for a rock near him in the grass, when he felt the smooth survice of a rock he picked it up to inspect if it would do.

Yes, this one will be perfect..

Martosu swung his left arm back and launched the rock onto the water, making it skip across the survice.

I didn't feel any pain at all, it seems like my arm has healed enough ...

He leaned against the tree and began to watch the birds soar in the sky.

After a long while Mizaki opened his eyes and stood back up facing the others. It seems everyone was about to get ready to leave and head south. They took out the fire that was burning and left the burnt ashes right next to the tree.

A few hours later that they have finally arrived in front of the train station.

Leroy:

Civilization. What a welcoming sight it was after the countless hours spent closed off by towering walls of rock and the random roars of hungry animals echoing on all sides.

At last real food. So much better than Lavi's burnt fish. The rest of the group pigged out as Abel neatly wiped his mouth. I believe his going to fit in the Black Order very well.

For a train station, the architecture was amazing. As Leroy was stunned by the beautiful details of a mere train station, he could not even begin to comprehend on how breathtaking the local church would be. He could observe the intricate works all day long, but was interrupted by a short man tapping him on the shoulder.

It was the finders who have come to take over Abel Nightroad's escort. The train, having just arrived, let off another puff of smoke as Lavi approached the small finder and introduced Abel Nightroad himself.

"Thank you for the safe journey," he bowed, as he stepped on to the train to bid his final farewells. The short finder only gave Leroy a letter from Komui and began to hurriedly scamper off towards the train.

"What is it?" Mizaki asked.

"Our next orders. Destination: Asia"

[Yamamoto]
