View Full Version : Second Night II: The Death of An Abbey
The Death of An Abbey
The monk stepped downstairs from his nightly prayer. The bishop walked on by, rather worried about something.
Writing down on a note, as he was sworn to silence, he asked: “What troubles you, Bishop?”
The Bishop replied, writing back: “Seems that things are slipping. The Angel has reawakened, and other events are falling into place as the elders predicted.”
The monk, realizing what this meant, walked down into the chamber. The prisoners were confined to their respective cells. But, as he walked down towards the underground, the death stirred. An old black box with a silver lock was shaking. The monk feared what was coming. Then, something gripped him. As he looked over his shoulder, a monster dug itself into his body, and gained control. The monk grimaced; he walked towards the box and a dark mist came from his mouth. His skin turned a deathly purple and gray. The top of his skull formed outside of his head. “Pandora… awaken…”
The Bishop confined himself to his quarters. Never before were things so bleak for his charge. Only the Vatican and the Abbey knew what rested there. He wrote in his journal, detailing everything. Nothing had happened in the last 2000 years. Patmos had slept soundly, despite the knowledge of the death that awaited there. Then, a dark cloud began to form over the Monestary. It funneled around it and spread outwards at an alarming rate, then came to a rest where the sea sat. A prisoner walked into his quarters, pieces of skin torn off and eyes white as a sheet of paper. He threw Holy Water on it, and it burned and fell to the ground. Outside, his former monks, now necromancers, chased the living, and with each they caught, they became zombies like the prisoner. Some carried Shotels, for their harvests, but the tools of the harvest were now weapons of war on the living.
A darkness crept into his room. He pulled out the falcon from its cage and attached his journal to it, writing one last note before the darkness grabbed his ankle and he was swallowed. “Thisssss One Hassss Power…”

The Vatican, alarmed by the events, sent it to the Black Order. Komui sweated as he listened to the conversation: “Pandora’s Box?! That was a legend!”
Then his voice rang over the loudspeaker: “All exorcists, fall in. We’re not pursuing any wayward exorcists for now. This has higher priority. Come to my office for details.”
Komui looked pensive and worried as Reever walked in. “What’s this about?”
Komui silently glanced over at Reever, giving him a stare equivalent to death. Reever said nothing more, but held the folders ready as the Exorcists arrived.

- Destination: Patmos, Greece.
- Boat is the only accessible way to the island.
- Necromancers are on the streets.
- All Exorcists, Noah, and Akuma can participate.
- Target is the box itself. It rests within the historical "Apokalipsi Cave."
- After assaulting the island, then a temp HQ can be set up. No regen till then, exception for skills and Noah.
- You will be taken off the island if your HP reaches zero, provided there’s someone to carry you, and you will regenerate there.
- You may enter the island from the north or south side, but as soon as you get to the center "island," expect heavier resistance.
- Free Form RP, however, if you and your opponent agree or GMs request it, you can fight with stats.
- There is more than one artifact hiding here. Find it. It will be near the Box.
Jacques was in mid-transit on the train over towards the southern end of Greece. There, he'd take an old steam cruiser to near Patmos on the eastern side. A small group of survivors had managed to nestle themselves on Sklavopoula Island. They had gotten a small transmission to another island, using morse code.
He sat on the train, reading a book. It seemed all too quiet.
Angie was getting food and drink.
Closing the book, Jacques set it aside just to see her come back in. "Hey Angie," he calmly sighed.
The door slid shut and he lazily took a bite out of a piece of bread.
He looked out the window, somewhat worried and depressed.
'He's there. I don't want to face him.'

The trip to the island was a hard one transporting taking ships and trains just was a little tiresome. Still Angie managed to take things well and to entertain Jacques enough so he couldn’t think too much about it. She noticed something really bothered him. But up till now he didn’t said anything about it. Since last time breakfast they didn’t got anything to eat so Angie went to catch some food. On her way back she saw Jacques reading until she put the food in front of him. With a soft sigh he greeted her and took a bit of bread. Looking at the window he sighed once again worrying Angie more as time went by.
“Jacques? Is everything ok?” she said while sipping some tea.
“I’m…yes everything is ok. Just that I wish…don’t mind me I feel a bit tired that’s all.” Responded Jacques not wanting to bother her anymore.
(Stubborn man. Why cant he just said he is not feeling good?) thought Angie.
They ate in silence and exchange some thoughts but nothing like the picnic they share before. Once they finished the food and leave the tray to be taken care of for the service, Angie sit next to and took one if his hands. She holds it till she fell asleep next to him. Jacques just smiled sadly and watch her sleep while passing the other arm around her shoulder and he lean on her. Now he felt more worried thinking about what might they encounter on the mission. Not wanting to loose time on sleep Jacques watched Angie’s sleep until he couldn’t help it and fell asleep also.
He felt her gently nudge him, followed by sounds of the train braking. Jacques sat up and rubbed his eyes, looking around. The sleep did him more than he had expected. He felt a little better and refreshed, and his worries were... somewhat alleviated.
The train had just gotten to the eastern coast of the Peloponnese, and a ship was waiting at the coast.
They boarded the small steam ship, which took them in mid transit. The sun was going down, and they'd reach the Island in the middle of the night.
"You know, the only thing keeping you sane is her. I'm jealous, but you really do like her."
'I'll have to take care of it soon enough.'
The sun was setting, and the ship seemed decent enough for their purposes. He stood on the front of it, awaiting dark clouds on the horizon.
Angie walked out from the ship and joined him. Things were silent for a while, then Jacques wrapped an arm around Angie and gave her a quick kiss.

"How are you feeling?" asked Angie a bit blushed after the kiss.
Jacques took a couple of minutes to look at her eyes and face before answering. He seemed like he was trying to memorize her face.
"Feeling much better, thanks Angie" he said finally with a soft smile.
Smiling back Angie lean against him resting her head on his chest while he rubs her arm and pulled her closer to him.
(Rashar? Can you hear me?) asked Angie trying to reach for her other half.
But Rashar was silent. Even since their mission on China and the dream she had on those days her contact with Rashar was none. She was worried since it was Lorraine who seal her other personality inside. She keep herself silent and rubbing Jacques back in a soothing movement. She didnt wanted to think on the dream neither anything else. She let Jacques touch take her worries away and just concentrate on the feeling of security and warmth of being together with Jacques.

"Road must dislike me for something.." mumbled Ruth as she found herself standing next to the cliff in front of a large body of water.
"She could have at least transported me closer to the damned monastery..."
With a flick of her hair, Ruth began to walk down to the shore, almost tripping as she made her way amongst the rocky surface of the headland.
With no intentions of swimming her way there, she walked along the shoreline- catching sight of the frothy waves moving up and down repeatedly in the sand. To her luck she found two fisherman off for the early morning catch.
Either Road actually doesn't hate me that much or Madam Luck is on my side...
They approached Sklavopoula Island, and were hurried onto a survivor's boat. It was a small wooden one, with enough room for three people aside from the rower. Jacques plopped the oars into the oarlocks, and began moving towards the small island. The skies were completely darkened, and no light could be seen coming through except for what came in around the island.
A large power was on the main island. He glanced over and a meteor came through the clouds and nearly struck the location they were supposed to first go to. It blackened the water. He and Angie got the boat on shore, and a second meteor was dead on target.
Jacques reached out his hand towards the meteor. It was halfway between the clouds and island. "Trou Noir."
And then... The meteor vanished. It wasn't there.
A few monks wandered towards them. They wrote down in their books, and handed it to Angie and Jacques to read: "Thank you for coming. We swam here after jumping. A few of us didn't make it past the rocks. There is much evil roaming around the towns, so avoid them."
Sending up a flare, another wooden survivor's boat was launched off the steam ship. It came towards the shore and the monks were huddled on. They were then withdrawn.
"Seems our lives just got harder."

((Short post going home and be back by tomorrow)).
Angie tried to watch the monks leaving. She already changed to a new exorcist attire in case she needed to change into feral form. The wind was soft but the stench of dead and evil could be felt anywhere. She decided to concentrate on the mission as soon as the monks left. Smelling the air she noticed something more besides the sea salt and humidity. It was blood a tickle began to be felt on her insides. Her feral states was getting excited. Soon she will be feed and she will be satisfied. Controlling her urge to run toward might be a dangerous situation she waited for Jacques.
Angie also sensed he was not in the mood to be here. But it was his duty as part of the mission. A bit hesitant he joins her at the foot of the mountain and said
"Seems our lives just got harder."
Angie nodded and then she remember it was most likely he didnt noticed due to the darkness. Taking his hand she gave him a gently squeeze and said softly.
"We shall prevail. We stronger together and I wont let anyone hurt you I promised."
Jacques return the squeeze and gave a soft chuckle. THen both began their journey into the monastery.

Dies moped around by the water's edge, walking casually across the remains of an ancient shrine. It was one of little importance, constructed to worship the Gods of the sea and the sky. Sighing, the Noah paced around on a circular structure. Large pillars rose up, supporting what remained of the roof. Beams of sunlight crashed down through the clouds and Dies looked up, taking the glare of the sun full on. When he turned his gaze away, large white spots created craters in his vision.
He skipped onto the water, distorting space beneath his feet to allow him to walk on the liquid. There seemed a greater disturbance at the island of Patmos, however. It would have to be strong for the Earl's portals to be unable to take him directly to his location.
Or it's another of his games...
Not knowing what lurked in the hazy waters, Dies decided to run along the coast, seeking a means of transport.
They approached the Panagia Geranou as planned. One lone... figure... approached. They could not tell if it was human or not. It wore simple clothing, and wandered towards them with a limp leg. It came closer and closer; in its hand was a bloody sickle. Then, more arrived, more and more. They slowly seemed to multiply in number, rising from the field.
One appeared behind the duo. Angie quickly dispatched it of its head; its body fell to the ground.
'Can't live without their head, huh?'
"What is this? Some bad horror movie?"
'What's a movie?'
Refining a bolt into a long stream, he cut and seared the necks of any enemy who got close. Meanwhile, the one Angie had killed lifted itself up again. This time without a head.
'Tsk. Just our luck. Have to kill all of it. Then again, these seem almost too easy.'
Relieving it of its limbs, Angie moved to the next one behind them. Something began walking across the field though. It wore monk clothes and held several skulls from strings. Chanting an unknown language, a set of lightning bolts began appearing and striking at random.
"Let's take him out first. The others are small fries," Jacques told Angie.
'I'd rather not be here right now.'

A Body of Water
Her fingers played with the placid water's surface, as the two men rambled on about stories of their greatest catch. Pitiful humans really, occupying themselves with such trivial things.
Ruth's eyes darted around the area- the morning mist hiding the rest of the scenery with it's veil, as if it had something to protect. Lord knows how these fishermen find their way back in times like this.
Wait....am I lost?
For a moment Ruth was worried, but a smile crept not long after as she placed her fingers upon her chest. Those men were too busy in their tales that they wouldn't notice her pulling out a small, grotesque creature with large blood-red wings.
"Go my Ravenous," she whispered, "Lead us to the scent of blood from those holy people."
In due time she will arrive. For now, she only stared at the great storytellers- her insidious smile growing wider.

Some small town, somewhere.
“I asked for a boat, Mr. Garrison, not a decrepit plank of wood.” Dies hissed over the throng as hundreds of people washed past him, all keen to get away from the island.
“How would you like to shut up and pay?” The man facing Dies, going by the name of Garrison, was an old and sturdy sailor with a finely trimmed beard. Dies leapt forwards, grabbing Garrison by the scruff of his neck and lifting him.
“How would you like to suck my balls, Mr. Garrison?”
The sailor gulped and hastily indicated to Dies that he could have the “boat” for free.
The boat in question was a 5ft wide plank of wood held together by nails and rope. It was closer to a raft than anything else. Dies grabbed it in one hand, hurling it onto the water before leaping on it himself. He smiled, placing two fingers in the water. The liquid simmered around his hand, burning it. Dies bit his lip as his skin stitched itself together – burning and healing at the same time.
With a grunt, Dies fired his power into the black waters. He’d separated real space beneath the lake, creating a large wave. This took Dies’ raft up like a surfboard, and he headed at a rapid pace towards the island’s southern half.

The stench of death was overwhelming. Angie keep shredding zombies as they went by. From time to time she will search for Jacques and keep her radio without getting to far. She was worried about him. The mission was not making him happy and he didnt let too much out. A hit on the arm took her out of her thoughts.
"Angie!! Watch out!" she heard Jacques shout in time to dodge a hit and retaliate by destryoing the zombie.
He went to her side and she thank him.
"You ok?"
"Yes."
"Keep alert this is getting more complicated" said Jacques while pinning his back against Angie's and taking a fighting stance.
Raising his arm, he held his index and middle fingers aimed at the strange being, with his thumb extended outwards ninety degrees and last two fingers perpendicular to the rest of his hand. It was sideways, then slowly the gem on his hand shone stronger. He twisted his arm slowly... and when it was fully upright, it fired like a cannon shot, destroying anything between him and the monkish one.
Things stopped for a moment as several of the zombies fell to dust and spirits began to leave them. All the souls, except one, flew back towards the Monestary. That one, flying beyond the reach of the clouds, soared upward and vanished.
With only a few left, Angie and Jacques cleaned them up nicely. Next, they wandered over a tall incline, and saw the village... it was almost ghost-like.

Angie didnt saw what Jacques made to shoot the energy. But she felt the power and how it destroy great part of the land including some zombies. After that the rest of fight went smooth and well. When they finished they looked thru the incline and saw a village. By the look of it the place was desserted almost ghost-like. A soft breeze blew moving Angie's hair Jacques went next to her and said.
"Let's go and see if there is any surviviors. For what is worth let's pray there is someone alive."
Angie took his hand and squeeze it soft. With a weary sigh from Jacques both began to walk to the town.

The Shores of the Island
Ruth stepped onto the shallow waters, as she flicked her hair and started making her way from the shoreline, leaving the boat she used- as well as two rotting bodies. A small swarm of the Ravenous followed her, as she stopped to take in the view of the monastery.
"Lovely, wouldn't you say my beauties?" Ruth smiled, as she took in a deep breath of fresh air. "Even the air smells....holy.."
A Ravenous butterfly shook as it fluttered madly around Ruth's finger. The scent of blood- they could taste it in the air.
"Well this is surprising...someone must have already beaten me to it."
Grabbing the fluttering Ravenous as she called for the others she paraded towards the monastery. "The fun has yet to start now that I'm coming," she whispered, as the swarm transformed into her blade.
Wandering into the village, nothing was there, except maybe a dog or two. But those were odd. They were gray and red, having lost blood and hair and exposing their flesh and life to the air. Jacques drew his sword and cleft one down its middle. Then, a small little green object that resembled a ball with some form of pulley on top came out of a nearby building. It clicked a few times, then Jacques, grabbing Angie, headed behind a building corner.
"BOOM" - The blast was deafening.
A woman appeared before them, holding a rifle and a pistol. On her back was slung an old-fashioned hunting shotgun. "You two don't look like you're from around here, or that you're zombies," she said. Jacques could barely make out what she was saying from her lips.
She motioned them into the building the grenade came from. In a nasily voice, she said, "Welcome to Dee-Dee's used weapon service. If we can't kill it, it's immortal."
Jacques laughed a little, telling her, "Well, you're on the wrong island then."

Screams echoed throughout the tall cliffs as the sting of cold metal sliced off another scrap of human flesh.
"P-Please...d-don't!" an old woman shrieked, as she shielded her eyes from the sight of the monastery's gardener's decapitated head, bracing herself in the hope she would be spared.
Cold eyes stared at the pitiful creature.
"Your turn," the heartless killer smiled cheerfully at the unlucky passerby.
UGH!!
One, two tries until Sacrilege was smoothly pulled out from her fragile ribs. Wiping her blade clean, Ruth turned to the blood-red sky as she squinted at the top of the monastery.
Something is amiss. Holy land should not have this dark of an aura looming over it...
As her blade Sacrilege dispersed into a swarm of cannibalistic Ravenous butterflies to feed what's left of the couple Ruth sighed as the old woman's face flashed across her mind.
A face in extreme terror. Ruth was used to this expression, yet there was something intriguing in her last victim's expression. That woman had seen numerous murders and did not expect Ruth to come and end her life- rather, she expected something else.
Her eyes glanced back at the woman's face being devoured by a large Ravenous butterfly.
"I was just a random passerby in a scene of massacre it seems..."

The explosion left Angie a bit deaf. Jacques hold her hand and speak but she couldn’t understand or hear anything except a ringing on her ear. Since her senses were higher than the normal human she lost bit of a balance. Jacques hold her and ask
“Are you ok?” he frowned when he saw Angie was not responding to his voice.
Lifting her face Jacques talked once again and she frowned a bit disoriented. She couldn’t hear Jacques words but she managed to read his lips. The ringing was getting low and finally after a couple of minutes she could finally get her hearing back again. Jacques hold her hand while talking with the strange woman who lowered her rifle.
“Who are you?” asked Jacques.
“Dee Dee is my name and you?” asked the woman still having her distance.
“I’m Jacques Hook and this is Angelique Schwartz we came from The Black Order. “What happened here?” asked Jacques taking a look at the surroundings.
“Let’s go back to my house. They might come back soon and here is not a nice place to battle.” Said the woman turning around and began to walk not waiting for them to follow.
Jacques took Angie’s hand and began to follow the woman to her house. Angie was a still a bit disoriented but she seemed to regain her balance. The walked in silence Angie was a bit scared at the new sensation but she was working on getting adapted to it.
Once they reached the woman’s house they entered and Jacques made Angie sit next to the fireplace. He asked some questions to Angie and made sure she was alright. The woman made some tea and offered to Angie then taking a look at Jacques she said.
“What business you have here?”
“I thought you might help us with what happened here?”
“Sit is a long story.” Said the woman serving another cup of tea and sitting on a chair.
"I suppose it began about three or four days ago. I can't tell with this dense foreboding spirit overhead. The Abbey began spewing out that dark cloud. Suddenly, lightning began striking everyone around us. I walked outside. One was just a small kid. But, instead of just... turning to ash or burning, he... became something grotesque. Very large hail began falling from the sky, meteors following them, and then fissures opening up, swallowing people and then closing. Some of the others began rotting and picking up their farming tools. Others tore off limbs, throwing them at an innocent person, knocking them down, then eating at their shoulder and tearing off a limb off the living person till they too became an evil demon. Here and there, metallic beings shot at them, and at the people still alive. And even though the shots would go through those... things... they would just regenerate their lost limbs. Me and my husband run the local hunting store. We held off while they retreated. My husband was bitten by one of these evil things; I carried him back while our daughter and son fought back. I haven't seen them since, but then, after a few hours, my husband began losing hair and his skin became gray. The whole town then... walked towards the Abbey or towards the coast. As if they were expecting something."
She paused for a moment.
"Things have been quiet lately. The town is gone except for me and my dog, who went out this morning, and I haven't seen since. I've been feeling ill though. Something about this place is making me dreary, and tired."
She wandered back to her bed.
"I've slept twice since my husband left. Whether that is two days, or just a few hours, I do not know. You all can take what you want from my store. Seems I won't be having any business for a long while."
Waving, the door closed.
Jacques picked up a few grenades. 'Why would someone have these in a hunting store?'
Sliding them into his coat, he picked up a few more explosives: dynamite and some detonating cord. He threw them into a duffel bag on the floor, then began walking to the door.
He saw Angie slumped over in the corner, and walking over, asked, "Something the matter?"
She shook her head slowly, and Jacques picked her up. They walked out of the store, and headed in towards the middle island, patrolling along the coastline. Jacques couldn't tell, but a gunshot rolled over the hill. There was no noise of struggle or of any further firing.
'Poor woman...'
Jacques looked back for a moment. The sun was setting far to the west, peeking under the canopy of darkness over them. It sank below the horizon, and fell into a slumber.
The night was one purely dark. He saw a few of the dead peek over the hill and see them, only thanks to his eye. His other eye couldn't see anything.

The shoot made Angie get fully awake. Jacques was walking with her on his side. Apparently the explosion made a commotion on her. She wanted to ask Jacques about the old woman but the expression on his face told her it was not wise to ask. In soft tone she asked Jacques
“Jacques are you ok?”
He kept walking until the last rays of sun went off.
“Jacques? Please what’s wrong?” asked Angie once more.
His silence was alarming, but she could sense his hesitation with each step. She was going to ask one more time when he stopped. By now the night was dark almost too dark to see beyond her nose. A creepy feeling made her skin crawl with Goosebumps. Fear at his best filling her nostrils and making her tremble. Jacques hold her a bit more to his side resting his arms on her shoulders. She felt his fear also but a sense of warmth and protection. She put her arms around his waist and gives him a soft but firm hug then a kiss on his chest making him hug her.
It seemed words were an excess she couldn’t see his face too clearly but he seemed to gave her a soft smile. Then his face turned to one of seriousness when he looked at the distance. The Abbey must be near since the stench was also felt. Covering her nose with her hand Angie kept walking when Jacques resume his. She trusted his guidance in the dark and her life. Giving him a gentle squeeze she gave him her reassurance about going forward.
“No matter what happens Jacques” was her soft whisper before they continue their journey into the night.

Outside the Abbey
A red butterfly was tingling- wings shaking at Ruth's fingertips. The night's mist masked it to those unaware, the truth in what lies beneath the sacred site.
"This is the Abbey huh? More like a graveyard..."
The Ravenous could certainly pick up the scent of a massacre. Gracefully stepping on a monk's dead hand she paraded towards the mist, her eyes squinting to just make out two figures.
A woman's voice. Soft and gentle, almost a whisper- but in the dead of the night her voice was crystal clear. Yet, her voice sounded so familiar.
The Ravenous by her hand transformed with a few of the small swarm to form her sword Sacrilege. There was one thing Ruth liked about the mist- a swift, clean assault.
Let that God protect you in this holy land, or you won't see what's coming.
((Is Fekki and Asky's characters btw :)))
They seemed scared of something. As he turned around, he saw it approach them slowly, but quietly. Drawing his sword, a faint light appeared, and he saw the blood-red blade.
'Crap. Not now.'
"Angie, get down!" Jacques yelled.
The Undead began appearing on the other side of the escarpment. The blade cut the air, sailing over Angie's head and blocked by Lamia, barely. The blade shifted up, then made a small wound on his arm. He knew exactly what this meant.
'Crap.'
Channeling some power into his sword, he pulled it out of the ground, having it fly forward in the earth, and causing a round of spikes to fly towards his enemy. She cut them all in half quite easily, avoiding each one.
Creating a few small sprites, they made markings on the ground, working quickly. He created two guards for himself, blocking the sword's strong strike, but not the attacks that would make shallow cuts, meant to be painful.
'This won't end well at all.'
"Angie, where are you?" Jacques called. Then he saw them come. Those rotten bodies began to attack up the escarpment while Ruth and he were fighting. Two fishermen were in the crowd of flesh and death.

"Angie, get down!" Jacques yelled.
She duck in time to feel a blade pacing over her head. She rolled a bit then stopped to find herself lost in the mist. The sound of the death and their smell well nauseating, she tried to focus on Jacques smell but she felt overwhelmed.
“Angie where are you?” was Jacques voice in the shadows.
Her fear already took her and she tried to talk but she couldn’t. She hoped Rashar would take over but she couldn’t felt her presence.
(Calm down I just need to focus I know I can do this) was her thoughts when she felt a couple of hands trying to rip her clothes.
Kicking her way out she felt Jacques fighting with someone else. The light of the sprites let her know where Jacques was. The sea of bodies was pushing her forward still trying to rip her apart. She managed to get under them and get out of the group. She barely made it on time to stand between the zombies and Jacques. The sudden smell of her blood made her turned around for get a glimpse of who was. But the mist didn’t let her see the face. Still she felt that murderous intent. She even remembers that fight still fresh on her mind.
Angie tried to warn Jacques but her voice was gone. The sensations were too much to process at the time. She just wanted all to end on the exact moment. Another couple of hands reached for her. Angie just felt repulsion and anger. Turning around she let herself go and the rage took her completely. She began to change her hand into two big claws. Launching forward she passed two fishermen and dive into the mass of zombies shredding and mutilating anything on her path. She didn’t stop until nothing was left moving in front of her. Turning around she halt and tried to control her rage before it took her over for good.
(Breath, just breath please. Jacques needs me I can’t let you be like this calm down!)
After trying for a couple of minutes her limbs went back to normal and her eyes took her human color again. A bit tired she kneels down and took more breaths while hearing the sounds of Jacques and the other fighter.
Elevating a silent prayer Angie hoped their live enemy wouldn’t be a Noah. For once she wanted her sense to be wrong.

The Southern Half of the Island
Dies leapt off the still moving board as it approached the beach, landing gently in the sand. The wave he'd created had died down - it had just enough momentumn to take Dies, on his little raft, to the island of Patmos.
A good thing too, that technique was quite a draining one.
Dies looked up, scanning the rocky cliffs. On the top, dry grass bristled with indignation as the eyes of a Noah looked over it. Thick, sweaty smoke was visible in the distance. Dies grunted, removed the safety from his weapon, and moved forwards.

With a small smile Ruth slashed through the air, just missing Jacques chest. Completely disregarding the undead zombies scattering about the field Ruth savoured the battle in the mist, hacking her way time and time again- kicking those undead monks out of the way.
Jacques crouched down for a low sweep, catching Ruth off guard. As he was about to deal his comeback blow Ruth released another swarm of the Ravenous- enveloping the whole area with the hungry bloodsuckers.
The maneuvre caused Jacques to slip as he was trying to get the butterflies away from his face. Taking the chance, Ruth released a black and crimson aura and fired it toward's Jacques direction, slamming him on a giant tombstone.
((short post atm, i have to go. Battle for another 1-2 posts?))
'Tsk. That hurt.'
Jacques wedged his sword underneath the damaged gravestone, using the leverage as a catapult. Ruth ran foward, completely avoiding the gravestone. He told Ruth, "Watch where you step."
A lightning shock came from his fingers and went through the oncoming Ruth. Several more instances took place between the various seals on the ground, locking Ruth up in a prison of lightning. Finally, one bolt from the sky hit Ruth head-on, and Jacques began walking away.
He then saw the crimson blade within centimeters of his eye with his innocence.

The Southern Island, en route to the abbey.
Dies casually strolled through a quaint, abandoned village. Dim beams of light shot through the thick clouds above, illuminating the ash and ruined wood on the ground. There was a faint wail as a figure - a corpse, lurched up in front of him. Dies didn't miss a beat, sending a bullet through it's brain before it had a chance to move. He placed his still-smoking gun back in it's holster.
Kicking the corpse, he grunted, leaning down to light a cigarette on one of the small fires that littered the ground like potholes. This wasn't the first of these zombie-esque beasts he'd encountered, and...
A faint ping rung through his nerves, making him shiver. Another Noah was in battle, somewhere on the island. Dies grinned as he started forwards again.

Before the Blade could touch his eye Jacques felt being pulled away. His face now was in front of her chest while the blade slash part of her arm and right side. Bitting her lip Angie pulled Jacques a bit further and put her between the Noah and him as a shield.
"So you finally appeared again monster." said Angie trying to mimic Rashar's tone and fierceness.
"My my look who is here. I thought you was dead. But then again I'm glad to have you here. It will be a nice meal for my babies. Go and eat my precious." said Ruth while smiling openly.
A cloud of ravenous butterflies went to attack her. The cloud managed to lift her before Jacques could do something. Ruth was satisfied with her babies when a loud shriek made them explode. Angie landed on her feet and staggered a bit. Since saving Jacques from the blade she was on level 2. The wound was healing slower than usual. She felt the blood going down her body. Taking a look at Jacques she noticed he was worried about the wound. If he lost his concentration on the battle they wont stand a chance.
"Pull yourself together Jacques. Angie wont like if I let you die on here. So hurry up and come up with a plan so we can finish this mission and go home." she talked a bit harsh than even Rashar could had use but she needed Jacques focused. Letting him get distracted was not an option.
Moving in front of him once again as a shield Angie took her fighting stance and made her claws grow a couple of times bigger than the normal.
"So are you ready to dance till death Noah?" asked with a daring smile and murder intent.

"Oh, let's not hope you have two left feet," Ruth smiled, as she materialised more swarms of the butterflies.
Waving her hand amidst the swarm, half of the Ravenous surrounded her, and she began to disappear in thin air. The exorcist had seen this before, she hasn't 'disappeared', she was still there unseen.
Pure instinct. She relied on her scent, as she slashed the air, snarling as the sounds of metal clashed with her claws. A few of the butterflies scattered to reveal Ruth's face, smiling ever so dearly.
"Did you really want to do that?" she giggled, as black and red energy was coming off her blade still adjacent to the exorcist's claws. Eyes wide, she began to jump back, but couldn't completely dodge and almost direct hit of Ruth's Obsidian Tears.
Taking the chance of the female exorcist still in pain, Ruth drew a card and shoved it into the girl's open wound in her stomach as she screeched in pain. "I'm not interested in you today." The amount of blood drew the rest of the butterflies as Ruth let her minions deal with the feline.
The exorcist was slashing away at the butterflies in an effort to make her way out of the swarm. She didn't have the time for this, as she hacked the Ravenous surrounding her stomach's open wound. She pulled away the card with much pain, accompanied by a loud roar. Her eyes widened at the sight of the person in the card- it was Jacques!
As Ruth approached the male exorcist, she smiled with beady eyes under the eerie moon. The exorcist tried to get up but felt a slight sting in his shoulder, as Ruth quickly slashed the joints between his shoulder and arm. He struggled as his bloody face snarled at Ruth's cold-blooded one.
"I knew I saw your face before...how coincidental that I may find you, my dear target, here," she smiled as she placed her blade in front of Jacque's eyes. "Such a determined yet hateful face...let's put on a 'friendlier' one shall we?"
His screams echoed throughout the night as Ruth began to pluck out one of her target's eyes. The female exorcist struggled with all her might as she slashed her way through the swarm, crying- hoping to reach Jacques before it was too late.

Hearing Jacques’ screams in the darkness of the night made Angie angrier than ever. The swarm was blocking her way while the Noah was attacking Jacques. Desperation began to crawl under her skin. Not knowing what else to do she began to shriek with all her might. The swarm exploded while the echoes reverbs thru the entire place. Panting heavily she glared at the Noah who stood a bit amazed and the shows of display from her.
“Wow should I applaud that my darling? I mean you just opened you mouth and whine and took my beauties out. Amazing you should consider a career as a banshee. Then again you interrupted me on my work. That is not good.” The Noah was going to summon a new swarm of Ravenous when she felt the slashing of a pair of claws against her blade.
Unfortunately Angie’s movements weren’t fast enough to attack the Noah. But she was now between the Noah and Jacques. She was the shield so all she needed was to hold on till Jacques could react. The Noah growl in anger at Angie’s intromission.
“I thought about giving you a first seat to see your lover die exorcist. But since you are so eager to die first then I shall grant you your wish.” And started to slash at Angie.
On her part Angie managed to launch an attack forward so they started to move from where Jacques was. Dodging and attacking has begun to be difficult for Angie who was losing blood fast. Still she refused to loose to that Noah they still needed to fulfill their mission and Angie prefer to sacrifice herself before seeing Jacques die.
(“He is more important than me. I’m just a monster he needs to live. Please God help me so he can live.”) Were Angie’s thoughts while feeling the slash of the blade thru her thigh then her right arm.
Taking a bit of distance Angie eyed the Noah with a glare full of hatred.
“Aww please now you are complaining? You should have known that you are not match for me Exorcist. Are you ready to die now?” was the Noah’s question before charging to Angie with a sadistic smile on her face.
Angie’s vision began to blur a bit. Panic took her limbs and she started to feel terrified but before she could receive the blow an unknown rage took her by surprise. Feeling like a bolt had hit her she dodge the fatal slash and manage to punch the Noah’s stomach. Her body was full of energy and hatred. Only seeing the Noah in red she then roared loudly sending shivers to anyone alive around her. Round two was now going to begin.
His Innocence eye gone and gouged out, he lay there, in despair. Blood came running from his eye, coming down his cheek and turning the ground a brighter shade of red. Ruth took the marble-sized innocence, and cracked it, letting it turn into a powder as it sprinkled the ground. Lamia still sat there, the silver sword stuck in the ground.
"What will you do now?"
'I can only fight. But as weak as I am, I doubt I'll have any power.'
"Magic does not have to only come from the power inside you. It can come from that around you. You have a mind to conquer nature and provide hope to yourself and those around you. At least pick me up and fight."
There wobbled two undead fishermen. They came closer as Jacques picked himself up.
Ruth looked over as Jacques grabbed his sword. Angie then came dashing as claws and blade clashed. "Power is not limited to one place, nature, or emotion."
'It will threaten my soul, but so be it. I'll just have to relearn my magic without the innocence.'
Cutting off their heads, then arms, then legs, he seemed to be a little cruel about it. He... enjoyed tormenting these already tormented souls. Taking a few bandages, he wrapped them around his eye and forehead. Turning around, the two still clashed. Ruth seemed on the defensive while Angie was attacking constantly. Lunging, Angie dashed past Ruth. Seeing her closer to Jacques, she danced behind him and tried to attack him. Blocking with his sword, she said, "Why do you still have a weapon without your innocence?"
"My innocence is a tabula rasa. It has no power or awakening within it, no personality. Instead, I have a power bestowed from elsewhere. I'm still searching for where and why," Jacques replied.
Angie lept over him and Ruth retreated. Jacques picked up a leg of a zombie and threw it at Ruth, then came in behind Angie with his sword. But Angie wasn't in her right mind. She didn't notice anything, and was locked in on Ruth alone. It was like what happened back in the Asia HQ, but worse. He had no way of retaining her easily.
Sliding back, he began concentrating. 'Magic weakens the soul and shortens the life. Use my life to power it...'
He felt a small surge come to his palm. Holding it open, he let it flow. His heart pained as it came.
'Seems this is going to be a hard crash-course in relearning the basics.'

Anger, hatred, pain, loneliness, destruction, liberation…chaos these were only a few of many emotions Angie was feeling at the moment. She didn’t saw Jacques when she went after the Noah. She could only see red and death. No she didn’t want to see anything else. She went passed her point of no return. The beast inside of her got unleashed and now the only way to be satiated was to give her what she wants and what she wanted now was blood, Noah’s blood to be more specific.
“More power…I…need…more…power.” Said in a mix of growls and words.
Her size increased two times more than usual, her claws were extending more also. She was turning into a big were panther but with more animal features than humans. Something was not right but then when she felt the power inside of her she didn’t cared. She felt alive, strong, renewed. There was no time to reflect on the consequences, the Noah had to die before she could damage more. Her animal side was something she never unleashed before the wounds stopped bleeding since the adrenaline flowed like a river thru her veins. All human reasoning was obliterated, only the basic pure instinct of destruction was the one in charge.
The slashes were fast but not precise in some cases the speed was a bit harder to control still she didn’t backed down. She went after her prey increasing the speed, the force of the attack until she was just making the Noah be on defense mode. No retreating, no mercy, she wanted blood and she will get blood. Since her attack was merciless she managed to slash part of the Noah’s arm. Some drops of blood landed on her face and her arm. She stopped and licked them avidly savoring it and finding a unique taste that leaves her craving for more.
During that short moment of inactivity the Noah stopped and looked at Angie with a glare and disbelief.
“What are you? You should be dead by now. What makes you keep going? I shall kill you monster. DIE!” she charged at her while Angie was licking the blood.
Before she landed her slash Angie dodges it and slashed against the Noah barely touching her. Instead she rips part of her clothes. A beastly laughter echoes thru the land. Angie took a look at the Noah and said in a low primal tone.
“Ah the sweet violence that you irradiate will make me love more the moment when I kill you, because there is nothing sweeter than to kill an unwilling prey. Sweet!!”
With this the two women charged at themselves. While Jacques tried to come up with a way to save Angie from the Noah and herself.

"Ah the sweet passion that is anger," Ruth smiled as she stared at the even-more feline-like exorcist. Growing in size and her growls growing even louder Ruth was at the very least entertained by the 'devolution' of this human.
Licking her lips as she wiped off the blood near her mouth she pointed her blade forward. "Come," she taunted.
The exorcist's speed increased with every attack. A cut to Ruth's cheek, then her leg, then an almost direct hit to her right shoulder. She had the power, but not the control.
Swinging her blade behind her, Ruth let the exorcist take a direct hit to her chest, smiling as she coughed up blood. More aggressive attacks meant slower reaction times, as Ruth took the chance to return the favor by depply slicing the feline's right shoulder, sending all the pain she collected with her sword in one strike- the horror of her Despair attack.

Angie made a mix between a roar and a scream when she felt the sword slicing her right shoulder. But along the cute an intense sensation struck her full force. Holding her shoulder her knees gave in and fell on them. The Noah smiled even more at the sight.
“Ah so the little kitty hurts too. Poor…kitty” said while at the same time she stood in front of Angie and gave her a backhand strike making her land completely on the ground.
Trembling Angie tried to stand on her hand but the piercing pain on her right shoulder remind her of her wound. A kick on the ribs made her roll and wriggle in pain. Grabbing some dirt she tried now that she was on her stomach to at least stand on her knees. She did it only to feel a slash on her back. Another scream was heard on the night.
“Aww kitty is hurting. Does that mean that kitty can’t fight anymore? And I was just starting, but I guess I will have some fun now then will go back at my target…” Angie managed to get on her feet at the mention of Jacques.
“Don’t you dare mention his name you filthy scum. I won’t let you hurt him anymore I…” but she was interrupted by the Noah’s laughter.
“Hahahahaha, Oh my Lord this is rich. And how you are planning to do that? You can barely stand and you are heavily injured. You are no match for not even when you was on full shape.” After saying this she once again stood in front of Angie.
Angie managed to hold the first hit but the second one took her by surprise. A series of cuts on her left thigh made scream again in agony. She tried to move fast to avoid more cut but her injuries slowed her down. The rage wind down but still was there. The command on her mind was kill the Noah at any cost.
Ruth enjoyed the rest of the battle once she managed to make her move as planned. From there it went downhill for Angie since Ruth now was in control of the battle. The loss of blood combine with the effort of attacking and defending at random; made Angie stop at certain moment of the battle with her right knee down seeking stability while holding her right shoulder. Panting she then let her reasoning take over.
(“I cant keep going on. I reached my limit now, if I can’t keep it I need her to be as far from Jacques as possible. But I can’t let her know that. What should I do?”)
Too late she felt the presence behind her; she barely dodges in time to receive a fatal blow the Noah was going to deliver. Her Legs trembling by the effort of making a fast move, she tripped and fell then she went back but again she tripped and fell making crawl trying to escape to a place where she couldn’t reach Jacques. A cold feeling got her on her right thigh, the pain shoot through her body making her screams and wriggle in agony once again.
“Interesting let’s see how this goes.” Said the Noah repeating the process once again on one of the sides of Angie.
The sound of her screams was the only thing Jacques could heard on the pitch black dead night.
The screams, they went on and on. A lonely Raven, with red eyes sat on a nearby dead tree. It was staring at the combatants. It rose in the air, and flew towards Dies, several kilometers away.
Jacques began to wander towards the yelling. The undead, now less wary, were beginning to flood the area.
I have to find her!
He began running towards the sounds, as did the Undead.

The eerie graveyard that was the monastery was filled with the dark, lifeless moans of the undead accompanied by the screaming descants of a pathetic girl. The white moon laid witness to an endless torture, shining upon the scarlet pools of blood.
Wiping her blade on the exorcist's cheek Ruth's eyes bore deep into the woman's unstable soul. The whole experience was pure torture- rarely did Ruth enter a battle where she did not use her sword's unique ability of not inducing pain to her victims.
Tonight was different.
A sad mixture of tears and dried blood rolled down the exorcist's face as Ruth playfully punctured the skin of her right forearm. She had no energy to scream anymore- the will was all but gone. A poor excuse of resistance was her blank stare- so pitiful it was disgusting.
Ruth's mind suddenly jumped back to a time before she became the Noah. A time of a happy marriage, a time of betrayal- a time of near death. The image of roaring flames as her crazed husband wielded a knife and slit her sides flashed through her mind- the screams playing back inside her head.
Why am I remembering this now?!?
She saw her reflection through the exorcist's drenched eyes. Those very same eyes must have been on her face all that time ago. Those same pathetic eyes.
A slight wavering sound came from the woman's mouth, soft yet a senseless noise. Moving the tip of her blade adjacent to her throat, Ruth's eyes narrowed.
"What's wrong wretch? Begging for mercy?"
No voice. An angrier stare.
"I've had it with you..." Ruth angrily withdrew her blade as she sighed. "I'll just kill you without seeing that pitiful expression."
Turning her back she summoned the starving swarm of the Ravenous as they quickly hovered over the exorcist- impatiently devouring her blood. Like flies on rotten meat, within seconds her face was covered.
"Goodbye."
Slowly the swarm transformed into red and black checkered walls towering ten-feet high. Inch by inch the wall grew higher and higher, completely blocking off the pale moon.
"Lay rest in the Hall of Screams..."

The piercing blade combine with the terrible pain it brought with every stab inside her flesh made Angie shout in pain. With time the shrieks turned into shouts and gradually her voice went out. She no longer had the strength the crawl or try to escape. Still even when her body gave up on her, Angie still fought to get away her mind tried to block the excruciating that was not only tearing her limps but also her mind apart. From time to time she could hear and feel the joy of the Noah. She knew the woman was having a blast with her suffering still at that point she laid on the ground while a pool of her own blood was nesting under her.
At some point the pain no longer matter to her not even the stabbing was having an effect. Angie for the first time on her life felt lost and hopeless. Rashar never went to help her and Jacques…Yeah what about him said a voice that she couldn’t recognize.
He was lost and injured and as far as she could remember she was the one who was protecting him. Now he must be worried and desperate. Her screams might had alert him of her whereabouts. Wait she thought if he tried to find her the Noah might try to kill him. No! He can’t find her. He needs to hide to leave her. She no longer matters, she…
“How low you sell yourself Angelique. Aren’t you worthier than some of the other exorcist on the Order?” asked a voice.
“Who, who is there Rashar?” asked Angie with a trembling voice.
“Look at yourself, such power and still laying on the floor like a stranded beaten dog. Such a shame for our people.” Continued the voice talking.
Turning her look around Angie spotted a column of light a few feet away from her. She tried to walk but her legs gave in and she felt down. She noticed then the wounds on her legs. A soft echo of footprints was heard approaching her. Looking up she only could see a shadow but the voice kept talking to her.
“So talented yet so weak. They should have let me work on you “Angy”, but they didn’t let me. And see the results? Now you are there lying on the floor. Begging for mercy, you are just staining the name of the Order with your winning and your stupid fear. Your kindness is a waste of time. How could you help your man now Angelique? Tell me I want to know how a dead pathetic woman like you would rescue someone. You let your family die, in fact your kill them don’t you remember?” the voice kept talking to her.
Something stir inside or Angie’s mind. Like an old movie images then short passages from her past came back to her mind. Happy memories of the past started to show to the go onto a degradation process that will at the end turn into hatred and loss. Chaos, pain, hatred and fury. Feeling like falling on a void of commotion she tried to talk to stop the storm from taking over her. A laugh so cynical and degrading was heard on her mind. The past was once again on her mind and this time she couldn’t do anything to stop it. Slowly she felt sinking into a black and she tried to move and get out of it, but the more she move the more she sink at the end she saw a figure over her. She tried to reach the surface once again but this time she felt a wall on it. Pounding she noticed the figure smiling and waving goodbye.
Trying to shout the figure to stop she soon found herself watching the sword of the Noah’s on her throat and Angie tried to talk. But only a soft crackling came out of her mouth.
"What's wrong wretch? Begging for mercy?" She could only give her an angry stare.
The swarm began to grew on a deadly prison slowly she lost sight of the Noah while she felt her life going away. Again the fury made his entrance.
“So that’s it? You are giving your life away like this? Where is that love you felt for him? That promised you made for your love ones? What’s that a lie a simple way to regain your pathetic life? Oh I see you are so afraid to die, but look at you now. You are still going to die. You will never be with him again and what’s worst you will kill another love one just like be..fo…re”
The last word again made her snap. Angelique took a breath and with effort she began to move her limbs while her nerves send painful signals to her body.
(“I need more power now, I can’t let her kill Jacques. I can’t let this happen again. I don’t want to be alone. Please move. I need more power…”) she thought.
A new shed of tears went down her face mixed with dirt and blood. Still the fury lurked around pushing her thru the pain and hopeless. Angie let the figure emerge instead of her letting her eyes become empty and dull. Her body began to stand by itself driving by unknown force while a soft glow began to close her wounds. The wall was almost complete. But before it reaches the last layer a strident shriek was heard. The swarm disbanded while Angelique stood in full feral form. Her face was covered by her mane and she was looking down. The swarm began to form again but Angelique moved at high speed. The zombies that were lurking around drop into pieces at her pace. Meanwhile the Noah took a look at the exorcist not knowing what made this change. A second later Angie was standing in front of her but still looking down.
“So more surprises wench?” asked the Noah with a smirk.
She barely dodge in time the claws touching her skin part of her gown and attire went into shreds. While Angie raise her head. It was then when the Noah knew that something was wrong dead wrong. The wench was no longer in control since the live inside her eyes was gone.
Jacques began making his way down towards the flood of butterflies. Concentrating, he used the sword, igniting the blade and causing the white flames to swirl around it. "Your innocence was what allowed you to channel the energy. This time, use me."
Something in him felt a small amount of pain. Dismissing it as nothing to be bothered with, he began sliding down the hill towards the battle. A zombie lept out from the side, in a crevace between some rocks, and was promptly killed by impaling and burning. Its carcass rolled down the hill, its bones burning, then its skull rolling and bouncing, laughing and chattering as it came down. But no one paid attention as it turned to ash.
The exorcist between the butterflies was raging and out of control. Something inside Angie had snapped. But, trapped in a corner, she was fighting fiercely against the Noah. "Willing to sacrifice your friends, boy?" The Noah chided.
Jacques hung his head for a moment, waiting for the Noah to continue. "You're nothing more than scum. Life is disappearing in front of you, yet you do... nothing~ You're nothing more than a bystander in a world of Chaos. Your friend here has done all the fighting..."
The sword was pointed at the Noah's neck. The butterflies began to ignite without warning or signal. The white flame began to consume them all, tearing down the walls. "Chaos can reign, the chaos humanity rains upon itself. Your chaos is merely domination. It has no real meaning, it's an edifice you place in front of yourself to hide your will to control. Let's burn those walls and see how you truly act. Let's see if you want to watch the world burn, or if you want to strangle it yourself," Jacques mocked as he tilted his head.
Keeping the sword at Ruth's neck, Jacques made his way around her so that he was between Angie and Ruth. The butterflies fluttered as they burnt, the wall disappearing as it became clothed in flame.
"Boy, you are more chaotic than I---" Ruth began.
"I cause chaos as a part of my sanity. I live, destroy, and persist against the natural order of things. As things are intended, I am merely one of the earth, rising to make my way, changing that around me if I so care to or don't care to. The light gives us sight, but also burns us. My magic gives me more power than expected, but takes away something and slowly mangles it, breaking it entirely. The dark requires the dawn to persist, just like how you need us," Jacques interrupted, a red glow coming off of the sea behind them. The sun was rising, and the undead began to vanish.
"With the order of things coming back, what will you do, Ruth?" he concluded.

"With the order of things coming back, what will you do, Ruth?" the exorcist threatened Ruth.
"My, that's a tough question," Ruth's eyes darted up, her skin tingling as it felt the tip of the exorcist's sword. "What do I do....indeed?"
The exorcist was caught off-guard as Ruth pushed her body forward, forcing her neck to be impaled deeply by the sword. In response, Ruth pushed her blade into the exorcist's abdomen- smiling. Then with a swift movement slashing her blade away from his body with a black and crimson crescent wave.
Her butterfly minions kissed Ruth by the neck as they began feeding off the dripping blood- the wound healing quickly. Coughing up blood the exorcist stared back at Ruth, still shocked by her recklessness.
"I am not of the sin of Cruelty for nothing, boy" Ruth spat out, unimpressed as she drove her blade into the exorcist's left hand. Fixing her hair back, she sighed as the exorcist's eyes widened at each single strand of hair waving in snake-like movements.
Ruth's eyes began to glow- darker than any shade of red in the blood spilled tonight.
"You haven't seen real heartlessness...."
He pulled back from the changing Ruth. Pressing his sword against his wound, he cauterized it, cringing in pain from the burns. The sun continued to rise over the horizon. The top was a golden yellow, and the bottom kissing the sea. He let out something like a grunt as the blade left his skin.
'I could run away from this carrying Angie. It's worth a shot.'
The walls finally burned down. Angie was no longer scared of the flame that had surrounded her, as all its fuel was gone. She lept, and Jacques without a second thought, casted a wall of flame that would last until they were far enough away to leave. But each second counted, as he felt his soul slowly crumble. He grabbed Angie and threw her over his back.
"Let's enjoy this another time, Ruth," Jacques said with a little pleasure in his voice. "I'll do it when I feel the ability to. And when I want to see a heart like yours. I'll call it a date and run now."
"If you can make it away, boy," Ruth commented back.
Jacques began running. The sun was nearly over the clouds above them. The Undead would seek them out again and they weren't in a position to fight. Angie kept jerking, her claws scratching his spine and shoulders, but he just winced at the pain and kept running.
'The body and soul are important, but if I wish to return, I'll have to keep everything in one piece.'
The undead surrounded Ruth as the clouds blocked the sun more and more. Jacques pressed forward towards the monestary. Maybe someone at the abbey could help. Or maybe not. The building came into view closer and closer.
Finally, after 45 minutes, the flames settled around Ruth.

Easily hacking her way through the rotting undead corpses Ruth stared at the tiny figure running up the abbey.
They won't get far. Considering how torn up they are....
Flames surrounded Ruth as it scorched her now dark skin. Being a Noah, she cannot die, but the concept of pain was still bothersome.
Fully transformed, Ruth let out an ear-piercing scream as the undead army began to burst from the inside from the sound itself. A gruesome experience for anyone caught in the area, as Ruth spread her demonic wings ready to take chase.
The pursuit begins.

Even when Angie left her body and her Innocence took charge of it. She still knew what was going on. But she felt like part of the public inside a circus show. Her Innocence was angry with her she didn’t know why but she felt being pulled when she was about to be killed. Now she was floating with no place to go no where to aim her sights. She saw the battle unfolding before her eyes with dread, fear and impotence. Again Jacques came into her rescue, leaving a bitter flavor on her mouth. How was that always she was the one being saved instead of her doing the rescue?
She tried to go back to her body and take control but her Innocence slammed her against a wall and growled at her. Her fear was great but she wanted to help. Looking at the beast with tearful eyes she whispered
“Please help him he needs us, don’t let him die, please?” she finished her plea with a sob.
The beast took a long look at her before releasing her. She slip thru the wall and ended up on her knees on the ground. The beast turned around and disappear leaving Angie alone in a world of darkness.
Meanwhile Jacques managed to reach the abbey a couple of minutes after the sun came out. He collapsed at the entrance with Angie who was still on her tiny feral form. Her body was covered on green scars thanks to her Innocence. Jacques was panting and trying to stand up but he was too exhausted to do it. He wanted to be safe inside the Abbey since all the zombies were going out again. He took a break to regain his strength still he felt weak and hurt. Then something tugs his arm and being getting up in the air. He took a look around to find Angie holding him from the waist and walking with him to inside the Abbey. Fortunately for them they didn’t find any zombie and the managed even to get inside one of the big rooms. Once inside she took him in front of the fire and started it. With mechanical movements she cleaned the wounds on the back of Jacques and then put some bandage. She finished the task ignoring the complaining of Jacques since she didn’t cure the wounds too gently but she made it with perfection. Once he was ok she put some pillows so he could be comfortable. Jacques didn’t speak until she left and then appeared a few minutes later with some food for the two. She pushes the food forward and Jacques had to eat it without not having a say in the matter. Angie chews a roasted leg to the bone. Her sight was lost, Jacques too a look at her and to his terror he saw nothing only two pools of emptiness, which meant Angie was not the one in charge of her body. Taking a good look at her she was no different from the zombies outside, with the difference that she was more “alive” perhaps. Angie decided to go up and check all the entrance to the room were closed and locked taking a blanket she put is over Jacques she curled next to him and finally fell asleep. Her body felt cold and the scars were still healing and shinning in green.
Jacques tried not to think he just pull her close to his and tried to think of something to get them out of that nightmare. But all the weight of the mission weighted on his shoulders like a boulders. Slowly he embraced Angie and fell asleep a couple of minutes later.
He walked his way from the grand entrance, where he slept. He wandered up the left hand stairway, where a group of undead ran by, missing him and continuing onward out the front door. A voice beckoned, "Come hereeee~"
He continued down a long hallway, then hit a group of descending stairs. He continued, the undead rushing by him. There was a large area full of grapevines, basking in a tinted moonlight. It was surrounded by stone walkways, and he ate one of the grapes. It turned to ash in his throat, nearly choking him to death.
He wobbled to the nearest wall - it was cold to the touch. He had never had a dream where he felt what was in front of him. He had never had the sense of touch in his dreams.
He slid along it, when what looked like a monk shed off its cloak to reveal its grotesque and rotting form. It looked much like a "Skull" from what he had been told in his apprenticeship.
He passed by it so easily and quickly he didn't notice what was going on. It was chanting something and looking out a nearby window to the countryside.
The next hall took him a long way by the winery and down a short staircase. Inside the room on the other side, sat a calm man, wearing holy robes and restraining himself. It was the Bishop. Continuing onward, Jacques ran down the long velvet carpet on the ground, passing to his right upon hitting a wall. The stone flooring and statues reminded him of a church, but nothing else in the Abbey did. Nothing there was alive, with the exception of the Bishop.
Continuing through some double doors, he came to the underground of the Abbey. The Dark Underground. He saw the open cells of prisoners. Taking a left, he followed the hallway down till it took a dogleg right, then came to an intersection. The voice suddenly was sweeter. "Hurry~"
He sprinted down the next section of halls to his left, then entered what seemed to be a chapel. It was for the devout and the prisoners who resided here. It was gold-clad, full of wooden pews with gold leaflet and a stage for the Bishop to charge the members of the community with the tasks of God. Passing through it, the stairs climbed up, leading to a small meeting room. There were several notable illusions of demons here; Planning something against the Holy. "Thanks to a foolissssh one, we even sssssnared the head priesssst..."
Passing by the table, they all glanced at him, expecting him to join them or at least acknowledge them. He moved onward, leading up another set of rising stairs. At its end sat a box made of marble. It was not locked, except by a seal on its front. Coming closer, the box opened itself and a white light came out, carrying a silver pendant. It flew towards the demons, causing them to scatter. "Out pity, out hate, out anger!" It cried.
Then, the box and scene faded from sight...

A golden wall burst open as a menacing figure stood between the creeping sun and the dusty floor. With red eyes, Ruth quickly scanned the area as her mouth winced, her snake-like hair blowing wildly with the wind.
They are here somewhere. There wounds wouldn't have allowed them to go far.
The monstrous form Ruth resided was not meant in the cramped hallways of the abbey, as her wings struggled to fit through those damned narrow walls. In a state of annoyance Ruth screamed as she forced her wings outward- destroying another set of walls. Whether these walls were sacred to God did not mean any damn thing to her.
Whispers echoed at the end of a dark alleyway. Ruth smiled as she stretched her long, bony fingers. It was impossible to keep quiet in this form- nor is it impossible for her to hold back. Call her an animal if you will- if you can find any beast as unnatural and untamed as her right now.
Another blood-curling scream echoed throughout the monastery- the narrow walls amplifying the screeching sounds as colored glass panels of saints shattered in seconds. For the few left alive who resided in these walls, a strong shiver went down into their spines.

The screams and their echoes wake her up. Curling into defense mode she waited for another scream to locate her position. She was not far but yet not close to her. Taking the things left behind she then noticed her companion is missing. With caution she moved as fast and silent as she could. She tracked his scent although with difficulty. The stench of death and decay was stronger and almost nauseating to her delicate smelling sense.
Angie was still unconscious being the Innocence the one in charge. She was methodical and direct to the point. She didnt wanted to waste time. Meanwhile Rashar was fighting to break the seal that held her captive inside Angie's Soul. Desperate was the world that best describes Rashar mood. He half was dying and she was trapped without any exit to help. She keep fighting the seal while her heart began to cry out for Angie.
The Innocence continues her search from time to time it was tiresome but she didn't quit. She managed to find the stairs that will take her down inside the Abbey. Slowly she adjust her eyes to the darkness and began to walk silently. From time to time some sounds might stopped her on her tracks but she knew he was near. Soon she will be able to be next to him and maybe they might end this once and for all.
((Sorry for the short post I tried my best to be inspired but I'm exhausted ))

With a magnificent explosion of fiery green flames, Underpants descended from the heavens, picked the Abbey up, and with a "IN YOUR ****ING FACE ASSHOLE" threw it into the sun.
