I'm not sure what I am because I've never had any interest in boys, am withdrawn around girls, and have only treated a girl like she just another person. What would that be called?

Hmm... I'm not really sure if I'm straight or not. At the moment, I'm a teenager and most teenagers are usually confused when it comes to this kind of topic.

I'm mostly straight but there are times when I feel differently for other same sex friends. >.> It might just be a phase, it might not.

I usually say i'm pansexual, since i recognize that some people don't identify with either gender (and since about .1% of the population or more is born "ambiguous", i don't want it to seem like i'm excluding people on a biological basis either). I'm attracted to whomever i'm attracted to, in the end.

What if I'm like 50% homosexual and 50% asexual? Wouldn't that mean I'm actually 100% bisexual because half of my homosexuality would cancel out the asexuality and therefore I am actually 50% attracted to men and 50% attracted to women. Weird logic eh?

Hinamori-Chan
04-17-2006, 10:21 AM
If you were Asexual... then it wouldn't matter if you were homosexual. It just means your preference is to have sex with men. ....Right? Because I don't think asexual things can make babies. They reproduce themselves... o_o

I consider sexuality to be a very fluid thing... I'm attracted to individuals not to their genitalia. So to classify me, I'm a bisexual female, but have been in a long term relationship with another woman for almost 5 years. Thing that bugs me though: since I've been with her for so long, people assume that I'm a full out lesbian. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course, but it seems like a lot of people ignore the many shades of grey that exist when it comes to someone's sexuality.

I really could care less about what gender my lover is. As long as I love them, I'm happy. I'm a bi girl, but I do lean towards men. I'm still changing, so I could grow up to be straight or lesbian. I'm not too ashamed to admit it, and I don't hate myself for it. Though, I could only tell my mother. The rest of my family wouldn't be too thrilled.

I'm not really interested in having relationships other girls, though I will freely admit that some of them are hot and I probably wouldn't mind experimenting if the time and place were right. That being said I normally gravitate towards guys. I just can't fathom having a relationship with another female. *Shrug*

as far as im concerned, thers no such thing as bisexual, just someone whos generalized their attraction to people(sexually) (not that i hate them or anything). as for me i love women, especially petite girls, which is kinda awkward cause im a tall guy for those type (6ft)

Im a straight guy...to tell the truth if ur a guy its hard to be anything else! Though, as i already stated, I'm not gay...i got to give them props. It takes alot of balls to follow ur hearts desires, ESPECAILLY if they lean toward same sex relationships...As for me...I'm a coward so I'm going to keep sleeping with women! lol

@Xfer: i have a question... why do you hate gays? i mean to post that in a thread where you are being asked your orientation.. why would you be so much of an ass hole to say something like that? I understand everyone is subject to their own opinion but that doesnt mean you have to voice it.

Heh maybe.. and theres nothing wrong with it really. Having interest in both genders isnt much of a surprise as it use to be. Most are only afraid to admit or see it because its how we've been taught since we were children, to see it as "wrong". It sucks really, its like saying its wrong for one race to like another. eh. At least you know you can enjoy yourself ^^

I'm a straight female. I get hit on by girls for some reason way more then i've been hit on by guys. It really makes me feel uncomfy o.o Like want to melt away and sneak out of the room as a puddle uncomfy. I don't like guys that start asking for sex from the first move they make on me. I've acctually never had a boyfriend, and no thats not by choice. I've NEVER met an attractive guy who would be ok not having sex or is looking for more then just a pretty girl. I have the brains, brawn, and muscle to back me up and I don't, well NO ONE needs to look a slutty douche bag whore to get some love, acctually being a whore gets you no where close to love.

Its depressing, why can't a decent guy thats cute and likes me EXSIST somewhere! I'm SORRY I'm tall and why the hell do most guys hate tall girls? If you're the laid-back type of guy, you're gonna be going with your petite girlfriend whereever she goes so she doesnt get hurt, why don't you hook up with a girl can kick some butt and take some names for herself while getting all the love and care and attention you would get from a good petite girl, AND get some extra time to sit on your butt and do whatever you please? Go for the tall girl can take care of herself AND you?

LOL even that makes me laugh xDD But seriously, not every strong girl is going to try to put a guy down and make him feel weaker and insignificant or try to take away his "manliness". They'll just be able to do more for their self. Doesn't mean they don't always win and may need a little protection every now and then, but over all some of the physically strong can take out the trash, and the mentally strong can control some situations and turn them into less harmful outcomes. They may not be tall either, I know tons of shorter girls that can kick some serious butt yet they pretend to be weak and frail to get boyfriends. I don't play the lie game, i'm true to everyone, I don't need to fake who I am, even if people resent me for who I am, in the long run I'll get my fair share of the goodness that comes from being a strong yet caring individual who doesn't let the idiot nation rule over them.

Meh I rambled there :P

I'm... straight? Bi? I dunno, honestly. And I don't really care, as long as my head doesn't get to messed up and my friends don't start freaking out on me... I find guys sexy, I've loved guys before, and sometimes I find girls sexy... but that doesn't mean I'd sleep with them. I guess I won't be able to answer until I get the offer, and I'll know if I'd be ready to do it or not by my answer at that moment... *shrugs*

Well, you might have got it, I'm mostly straight, at least for the time being, and I don't give a damn what my orientation or other people's is. *bows*

Well, me being the only open homosexual on this forum - that I've seen.
I'll answer your question.

Why are some people attracted to the same sex?
Honestly, if I could tell you, I would.

You say why you're attracted to females:
You might like their long flowing hair.
You might like the amazing figure.
You might like their sweet adorable personality.
And you can't help it, you just are.

So, in the same matter:
I could like a way a guy maintains himself.
I could like his figure.
I could like his personality
And I can't help it, I just do.

It all goes hand-in-hand.

it would be hypocricy to say i don't like homosexuals or so, cuz

gay? would you not like him either all of the sudden?

a friend of mine told me about his preference and .... nothing changed

Coming out is a really frightening thing.
For the exact reason that's being pointed out in this thread.
It's not accepted by some people.
And coming out to those that are important to us,
we don't want to lose them.

So you mean that in a way its mental?
I mean its all in your head?

I don't like the drag queens either. They are usually hilarious, but I don't like them.
Of course I dress normally! I don't go the the wemon's section in American Eagle. -_-;

Not all homosexuals are drag queens.

And I'm not saying that it's mental. I beleive it's something you're born with. As a person that IS gay, that's how I feel about it.
Why would I CHOOSE the path of living a life that's unaccepted by many many people?

Alot of guys dream about two girl making out... so because of that homosexuality in females is more excepted...

Hm, well my girlfriend used to be a lesbian, then she got greedy and turned bisexual. ^_~

I agree sadly, homosexuality amongst women is somewhat more accepted due to typical male fantasies, it's a disgusting shame that male homosexuality is more frowned upon really.

My girlfriend being an ex lesbian turned bi, means that I know a lot of lesbians, and several of my friends are homosexual males, so I naturally have never had any issues with same sex relationships. I have actually recently been invited to a lesbian engagement by my girlfriend's ex.

A male friend of mine slept round my house one time a few years back, and he told me directly that he found me attractive and he had a serious desire to jump me. He was open about it and explained that whilst he felt that way at that time, he was aware that I do not find males attractive in that respect, and as such he had no intentions of doing anything about it aside from telling me what he thought/felt.

That is the type of thing I can appreciate without being "freaked / grossed out".

I appreciated him more as a friend for being straight (uhm pardon the unintentional pun =P ) up with me about it.

Obviously my having a girlfriend would indicate that I am straight. I don't need to be "straight and proud of it", I just AM, nothing more and nothing less. =)

Hell...having an ex lesbian turned bisexual girlfriend might send any typical hot blooded male into a frenzy of sexual fantasies about 3-somes and various other sexual escapades, when in fact it doesn't have any such effect on me having been around same sex, partnerships as much as I have.

Terri is still very close to a lot of her lesbian friends, and quite obviously her ex. For some that might prove to create a paranoid complex, but personally, I'm extremely comfortable around her friends, be they lesbian, bi, or even ex's since I've known most of them a good length of time whilst relationships where criss crossing back and forth.

This might make you smile/chuckle on the other hand it might have no effect what so ever; The Christina Aguilera music video "Beautiful", I find is actually one of the most amazing video's I have ever seen from anyone of superstar status.

Watching it the other day, Thursday I think it was, with my girlfriend, curled up on her couch, when the two males in the video finally kissed, passionately and in the open public; Terri nearly shot out of her skin beside me with excitement.

Whilst I had an appreciation for the lyrics and the purpose of the video, her being previously lesbian meant she had a far greater appreciation of such things than I would...naturally.

She was as giddy as a little school girl and almost screamed: "Good on you, don't give a fck what anyone else thinks." She managed to contain her excitement to a quiet shout at the T.V. ^_^

To me, that is the most powerful video, and I gained so much respect for her that day I saw it for the first time.

Actually, now that I think about it. When I saw it for the first time, was when I finally started having more pride about who I've become. I figured that there is no reason for me to hide who I am, or be ashamed.

Good for you. =)

In respects to that, I have never been someone who lacks confidence, but with that said I've never been the type that is stupidly over confident, you probably know the the type I mean...the kind of person you would love to slap one right across the kisser for being a self absorbed, egotistical...well I could ramble on forever with that insult so I'll just continue -

I have NEVER cared what other people think about me, I am who I am and you either accept that and like or dislike it, or you take it don't like it and as far as I could care, go the fck away. =)

There are exceptions to that of course, my parents, brother, other close familly, and now in my new relationship the likes of her mother, little sister etc.

Those kind of circumstances aside, you get what you see whether you like it or not.

However, even with a healthy amount of confidence, I must admit that the video really struck me the first time I saw it and I was quite suprised by how...hmm LOL no way...ME stuck for a word. o_O

...How...well I guess enlightened is the closest thing I can say to what I mean, it made me feel to watch it. Although I've never had serious confidence issues, it made me feel special inwardly I suppose. You know like an inner smile or something like that.

Wow...heh take note peeps, it's a rare occurance, A2k is stuck for words. =P

And yeah, that's how I feel too. It is what it is, and I am what I am.

theres is nothing wrong for beeing gay, just how ppl live so deal with it or dont talk about it, human dont understand what they cant explain and often conflict starts when that happens, like discriminatinos against homosexual ppl.

Before I respond to other stuff, I'm a straight guy, and I'm completely liberal about homosexuals.

@Kriz: It is human nature to fear the unknown. Homosexuality is not new, but it is still not well-known to "average" society. Unfortunately, they make up the majority and what one fears, everyone suddenly fears. Rationality goes out the window and all people can think about is their own position. It makes me rather sick really. For example, "You're gay?! So that's why you always hang out with us guys!" It's really stupid. Almost everyone has a group of friends (although the person in the example obviously didn't). They hang out because they enjoy each other's company. Does it really matter why they like guys or girls (or both)? Everyone should get their own chance to decide what is right and what is wrong.

Some may argue, "If everyone gets to decide what's right and wrong for themselves, people will justify killing and stealing." They solved this already. A politician once said, "the right to move your hand ends at my nose" (don't know who, but it wasn't me). So in other words, people can do what they feel is right as long as it doesn't physically effect others. As long as the intercourse is consensual, this fits the description for homosexuality.

Basically he's saying that they are being asshats about it, because; so long as you aren't shoving anything anywhere they "might" ( ^_~ ) not want it, then you are in no way effecting their lives, and as such you have the freedom to decide what you want.

Whereas should you go sticking things where they "might" not want it, then you would be imposing on their rights to decide what they want.

"The right to move your hand ends at my nose". ie. go beyond their nose and you interefere with them, and you unjustly effect their lives with YOUR decisions, not a decision of their own.

Basically so long as you aren't comming on to them without a mutual consent, they have no say in deciding what is right or wrong - specifically for you.

In short...they're just asshats with very shallow, closed minds. ~_~

"Normal homosexual people". What is such a thing? There isn't even such a thing as "normal heterosexual people". I mean, I'm not one to run around in wemons clothing, I think it's pretty disgusting. isn't stereotyping preachers a bit much? The preacher at my youth group openly accepted the homosexual members. Though he did call homosexuality a sin, he said all humans sin so why make a big deal of it?

I don't know I'm a very religious person but I'm never nazi about other races or orientation. I'm actually a very confused person (heh) when it comes to my orientation (but I wouldn't exactly call myself bisexual).

And besides isn't there a bit of hypocrisy in here? You call ignorance, idiots and let them live life with ignorance. One who is not ignorant or "idiotic" would simply give knowledge to the ignorant, wouldn't they? I know it's much more complicated than that, I've tried telling people to stop this homophobia but trash talking these "idiots" doesn't help now does it? they found a very bad reason to hate a group of people and now those who've been bashing are just adding oil to the already burning flame.

Sterotypes are pretty much everywhere you go. You're never going to get away from it...like:
Lesbian - Butch girl with short hair.
Gay - Skinny male prancing about with a limp wrist.
Gamer - Nerd with big framed glasses, and being terrible at sports.
Black Person - "Ghetto"

Sadly, we're never going to escape that. So, if you were slightly offended when the preacher got stereotyped, I apologize. :sad

I'm a straight guy, and I'm also a Christian: here's my view on homosexuality. I believe that it is a wrong choice, and I'm not willing to make compromises with that. HOWEVER: There are ALOT of things I think are wrong: cursing, smoking, lying, etc. Therefore, if I were to say that I don't want to hang out or be friends with homeosexuals, I would be a hypocrite because I hang out with people who cuss. Not only that, the way I see it, I'd be a sucky Christian NOT to hang out with those whose ideals I may disagree with; we're supposed to love all, and we can't love if we stand off and make fun of people. Although I definately do not approve of homosexuality, I would find it very wrong to hate and not be friends with the person. Heck, some gay people are the nicest people I know! Am I likely to have gay people as my closest friends? Probably not; my closest friends have lifestyles similar to mine. Am I gonna be a homophobe and despise all who are homosexuals? Absolutely not! I would be remissed of my duties as a follower of Christ if I did. Long story short: I don't think homosexuality is right, but I have no problem associating with those who are homosexual. I highly doubt I'd have any non-Christian friends at all if I didnt hang out with anyone with a lifestyle I didn't approve of. (And I hope to be a pastor, so perhaps I'll break the "God hates Fags" stereotype of pastors :))

Well I never posted here before, so now I will and I feel comfortable about it.. nothing to hide at all. I'm a little bi-sexual, I guess I would call it bi-curious. I never did anything with another female before.. but I would be lying if I said that I didn't think about or at least wondered what it would be like. And I'm pretty sure that every girl thought about it, even the slightest and shortest thought.

You see a lot of beautiful people on television, and as you should know the tv has become very sexual. That's all they promote on most channels, sex... which makes a lot of people very curious. For me, when I see those gorgeous women on tv (even men), how can I not think it lol.. or maybe it's just me. Even on the streets or your friend's friend. I think if they're hot, then why not.. or even just a nice person.

I'm a down-to-earth person. If I see a hot girl walking down the street, I'd probably say or at least think to myself, 'Wowee, I'd do her'. It may sound funny, but that's just how it is. It's good to know too that if you can't get a man, you can probably get a woman.. you know, more options and a broader horizon lol.

As for the guys, I love em' and you're my primary target lol. All shapes and sizes. So in conclusion I'd say 90% straight as a pin, and the other 10% is for the female perspective to be considered.

Younger than 18. Hehe. An age that some people would consider immature. =\
But my orientation may change even younger than when I am 18/20 years old. Time will tell. I'd rather not think about it too much, and just wait and see what happens.

Rofl ^^^

I started to figure out my orientation while I was in middle school. And yes, I know its the stereotype - but I did happen to figure it out in the PE class >_>;.
Which then after that, I proceeded to date a girl in 11th grade - even though I KNEW I was gay. Why? I'm not really sure. I kinda wanted to fit in - and be normal, since being gay was frowned upon in school. I was probably terrified to admit it, and just tried to ignore it. But, nothing ever became of the relationship. So I just had to face facts and come out. Worst thing ever >_>;.

Anyways, that the brief story of mine. The full one would take waaay too long to type. xD

Well, for me, it depends. If your talking about the stereotypical gay man (I'm guessing you can picture this), I don't think so. They (yes, I am generalising here now) are a bit annoying, nonetheless funny at some points, but I have nothing against their sexuality.

If you're talking about a "normal" man who's gay, well, again, that depends on what he's doing really. If I saw two men making out, I couldn't help but to be interested. Overall, gay men sort of turn me on. Nothing major, but its there. Lol. XD
