I think the manga is more IchiHime ... But that's probably because I first read the manga and then saw the anime :p

The anime is too much IchiRuki. I think it's because most Japanese otskus prefer IchiRuki (since it's different from reality, actually most relationships are more quiet like IchiOri, from what I hear), so they altered the entire business so it'd fit to the taste of the fans (and obviously to have more money).

Bah. IchiRuki is the one relatinship I'll never understand. People actually think it's realistic to have a crazy b!tch for a gf? SOmeone who wants a girl like Rukia needs to go and get chcked, they obviously have a superiority complex.

It was all because of all the whole SS arc, Ichigo as the knight in white armor and Rukia as the damsel in distress, people automatically thought that they would be the first couple, also it was because KT put both of them in quite the number of covers together, people thinking it was the will of the mangaka predicted that they would be the loving pair in the series.

If Rukia were a guy I think I would like her more than Renji.

Rukia's indeed very manly, although that's hardly what's making me dislike her... if she were a guy she'd probably be as likeable as Renji, yeah, maybe even as much as Ichigo (the General of the Alchemic Regiment in Busou Renkin is one of my favs, and he acts like Rukia would if she were a guy... I think. At any rate, he beats the crap out of his subordinates when they disobey him and it's actually hilarious. Of course, he also happens to have the strength to support his ability.)

Rukia's main problem is that she's so cliche. She's just your typical anime female-sidekick, being unable to do anything beside provide fake moral support for the main character and in the end nearly get him killed.

Yes, Rukia would be better if she was a man ... Maybe KT originally made her male but then changed her in to female because otherwise there would be too many men and people couldn't discuss wether Ichigo belongs with Rukia or Orihime XD :p Although there is noting to discuss about :p

I disagree about the anime being IchiRuki friendly.

Especially now that they're into the Vaizard/Arrancar arc. It's even more obvious that Ichigo doesn't have any romantic feelings for Rukia, because he wouldn't even have thought about letting Rukia stay with him if he did.

Otherwise, he would have let Matsumoto stay, because he's physically attracted to her (obviously shown in ep 116).

Ichigo was a momma's boy, and would probably spring for a girl who was more along the lines of his mom. A girl like Orihime. NOT like Rukia.

@Jaran, After seeing Ep. 116 and comparing it to chapter 199 I can see that the anime is a BIT, only a small bit Ichiruki, while the manga seems so clear about Orihime's feelings, the anime seemed a bit vague, not in a biased way but more like it doesn't want to show Orihime's feelings too much to encourage the current Ichiruki : Ichihime quarrel, like keeping most people in a daze as in which who will Ichigo be with in the end.

Still, people who think that Ichigo has a choice other than Orihime are pretty much short-sighted.

Btw, I feel that the anime is regaining a small bit of its luster, animation problems, awkward drawing seem to have gone, but the blood and gore seen in SS's arc seem to have gone (Yammi hitting Ichigo, Ichigo spits out... spit! instead of blood in the original manga, Yammi hitting Orihime, Orihime just has a few bruises instead of in the manga, Orihime had her left eye and left side of her face nearly wiped out), I am afraid that later on the anime will turn into a kiddy's one...

Now that you talk about it... I guess it has passed...2 and a half hours since they got in HM? cuz more or less each fight lasts about 25-40 minutes. There has been 2 fights in the time of one fight. Then Ichigo is running, in the time of another fight. Plus now while Chad is almost dead, Ishida and Ichigo running, Rukia and Renji in a fight is about another half hour? and more or less on total it gives... *counts fingers* that is more or less about 150 minutes, so it has been 2 hours with 30 minutes...

I have a weird logic O_O

btw, I hate when they overlap fights I just want to see Ichigo. (You all know why... >_>)

O_O the only reason I started reading the manga and what influenced me to continue seieng the anime (yeah for like a month a stop seeing it becuse it was boring, then I read that as time passed Orihime started loving Ichigo and I wanted to see that >.>) was all because I wanted to see Ichihime.

Well from what I heard - mostly from unreliable sources but meh - is that Rukia is quite popular in Japan, although the more liked pairing is IchiOri because it's what is expected of the Japanese.

You know that they, how should I put it, deflower each other a lot and from a young age, while the relationships and loves should be like Ichigo and Orihime - quiet, strong, and not loud and obnoxious (Rukia).

It's so very hard to find a good Ichi-hime fanfic among the bad ones and all the Rukia-Ichigo ones. I honesty don't see how they work. They've never had a romantic moment. I always cheer for the underdog pairings.

RukiaXIchigo ones are typically: a complete out of character situation where either Rukia or Ichigo or both act like Ichigo and Orihime would (notice that Rukia becomes more and more Orihime when she's supposedly in love with Ichigo >.>. Strange isn't it?).

Keep in mind this is your interpretation of the scenes, in both the manga & anime, and is subjective. Unless it is said literally, than you have nothing but the text to discern any type of feelings one has for the other, implications, interpretations, and perceptions are not set in stone proof. What we can discern from the manga: Ichigo said he'd protect her ( as he's said to countless other characters), and Inoue harbors feelings for Ichigo but he is unaware.

Anime didn't ruin Inoue's confession to Matsumoto. It's just error mistranslation. Manga translators thought Inoue was saying that she loved Ichigo(daisuki), but actually when you read through the manga in RAWs, she actually said, "I really, really like (no pronoun)(daisuki, BIG LIKE), but I can't help but to feel jealous ."

There was never the object word, "Kurosaki-kun/him/her/Rukia."

The manga translators just simply assumed that it was Ichigo, Inoue DAISUKI.

there was never a supposedly love confession by Inoue in the first place in chapter 199.

Heck, even the 237, I think she said to Ichigo, "I like you(suki) only, Kurosaki-kun." I'm beginning to think she treats him like some rice cake banana flavoured.

My objective opinion is that the IchigoXOrihime isn't official yet, and when & if it is, I am a supporter of it. Take note that if Ichigo were to end up with someone else, i would also support that. Saying that someone's interpretation isn't cannon isn't being negative, it's being realistic. What she read into the scene hasn't happened in the manga yet, and Ichigo hasn't even developed to the point where he'd think that at the time. A negative spin on that would be along the lines of me saying ichigo wouldn't feel that way Orihime. Which I didn't, I placed his/her interpretation into the reality of the manga( which so happens to be the basis of...everything).

Haven't you read anything that I write? There isn't any straight to the point statement that 'Orihime loves Ichigo'. It's a matter of misinterpretation or to be exact mistranslation.

199 IS NOT 237. 199 talks about Orihime feeling jealous over Rukia. You're talking about supposedly Orihime's love confession to Matsumoto, right? Well the anime didn't talk about Orihime loving Ichigo. Yeah, that's what I'm saying, mistranslation on the manga site. No problem.

Anime didn't ruin Inoue's confession to Matsumoto. It's just error mistranslation. Manga translators thought Inoue was saying that she loved Ichigo(daisuki), but actually when you read through the manga in RAWs, she actually said, "I really, really like (no pronoun)(daisuki, BIG LIKE), but I can't help but to feel jealous ."
There was never the object word, "Kurosaki-kun/him/her/Rukia."
The manga translators just simply assumed that it was Ichigo, Inoue DAISUKI.
there was never a supposedly love confession by Inoue in the first place in chapter 199.
Heck, even the 237, I think she said to Ichigo, "I like you(suki) only, Kurosaki-kun." I'm beginning to think she treats him like some rice cake banana flavoured.

By the way, you say you support the pairing. But earlier you stated that you "would" support the pairing "if" the manga starts showing developments in that relationship.

See Jaran's post. You stated that you'd support any pairing the manga supports. That means, you support no pairing.

Orihime isn't a airhead anymore. Since the SS arc, she has matured. Even more in the HM arc. Right now she is a mature girl, trying to defend her friends, kind, and a little crazy (that makes her even more special, and that is one of the things why Ichigo is in love with her (yes, he is. If you will keep arguing about this, get out since it is the only thing you will hear in this FC)).

I agree with pantiffel, if a girl likes or has a crush on somebody, there is a possibility that she wants to kiss him (I have a crush and many times I have wanted to kiss that person XD lol) but from all of her friends the only one she wanted to see, and that will be the last time in the living world that she will see somebody, she decided to see Ichigo. But then my life changed... I had a dream that Ichigo and Orihime were getting out of a cave (someone else also but I don't remember, my focus was on Ichigo and Orihime) and the sky was orange... but the thing is that when Ichigo and Orihime were getting out of the cave, Ichigo was carrying Inoue in his back and she was kinda asleep. Ichigo then felt Orihime place her face in his shoulder... he turn around just to found out that she was not only asleep but WAY too close... he blushed and was like "OMGWTFBBQ?!" of course he didn't say it... >.> but somehow magicaly at the same time Inoue wake up saw Ichigo, blushed and gave him a warm smile... then Ichigo closed his eyes, twisted his neck to get closer to Orihime and Orihime moved forward ans at the end they kissed... it was loooong... then they needed breath... that's when I wake up... I really did tought I was seieng anime, really it was SO real. I was all like "NOOOO!!! THIS WASN'T A DREAM!!! NO!!! IT CAN'T BE!!!" then I hit myself with my pillow, because of the frustation that it wasn't real...

Here is the interesting points about this... suddenly from a Ichiruki supporter (not fan) to one night I became totaly Ichihime without any evidence. Hey everyone! I havent been here in ages, but I just dropped by to announce that the Ichi x Ori FC over at Bleach Forums and the Ichi x Hime LJ community (and hopefully the Ichigo x Orihime FC at Naruto Forums) are getting together and having an Ichi x Ori contest during Tanabata.

There's prizes involved and it'll be a lot of fun! The contest starts in the summer in a few months and there's different categories such as fanart, fanfic, amv and banner contests. hope everyone can submit stuff, later everyone!

btw Dragon, would you mind if we swapped links to each other's FCs as allies? I ran the idea by Duo-Xun, but it seems as though he's gone now.
