This thread is here to accommodate those Exorcists/Noah/Akuma who have no access to the BO's Training Rooms, Earl's Training Dimension, or any other form to record their powers in the "usual" way. Therefore, those that have RP'd being enemies to/unwelcome in their respective races, are allowed to RP learning abilities and evolving here.

Akuma that choose to evolve not during a story and not in the Earl's world may also use this thread, but I would strongly recommend evolving within the story - it is a far more interesting read and more dramatic effect.

After the Asia HQ battle

Rave slid across a hilltop and looked back, making sure there was no pursuit. He was planning to skedaddle anyway, but he was somewhat annoyed that he couldn't at least stop and rest. He was tired, and wounded.

"Damn, why are those people so annoying?"

Possibly it is due to their inability to comprehend the existence of a devil on the side of good.

"Oh, what, you're developing a personality now?" Rave smacked his sword against the rocky wall.

I was attempting a joke.

"Yeah, well, joke's unappreciated. Anyway, you kept saying something about a new power, what is it? I'm really going to need it against the Noah - Xavier's magic, Dies' abilities, and I've heard that there are Noah who can manipulate water, and light!"

That is true. You shall require a power that allows you to completely stop their abilities. However, this ability of yours is not a very friendly one...

"What's your point?" Rave raised an eyebrow. That thing had a tendency to refer to the abilities as "your abilities", which was strange, seeing as he believed that it was the Innocence that gave the abilities, not the person.

That's a slightly incorrect notion.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

While it is true that the Innocence supplies the power, it is the person that defines them. That is why, even if you were to synchronize with another's Innocence, your abilities will differ than theirs, although the general idea will be the same.

"Interesting. But uh, why would I want to synchronize with someone else's Innocence? I've got you, don't I?"

Yes. However, you may synchronize with any Innocence that is not currently used and if the owner if knocked out, if you require a different power-up. However, that is only half of the power.

"Sounds deadly."

It is, to you. Using this power will greatly deplete your life energy, resulting in heavy damage.

"So why would I bother?" Rave kicked a loose rock away into a small cave in the mountainside to his left.

Because it would allow you to bypass most of the Noah's powers while fighting them.

"So... I harm myself, but in exchange stop them completely?"

Yes.

"That's a retarded power."

One week later, closer to the Mongolian desert.

Rave fell on the ground, coughing blood. "Man... Holding this crap for five seconds is hard, how am I suppose to FIGHT with it?"

You could always impale yourself on their swords, you know.

"Go blow yourself."

Not physically possible, as even when I appear with a physical form, I am a female.

"..." Rave flexed his right arm. It's huge power allowed him to survive his new level of power for now, but if he took it into a fight, it would be a different story.

You could always try to do stamina training.

"Shut up."

He leaned back against a short, bent tree. Zenryu was an annoying woman to be around, for sure, but her advice was sound. He needed extra stamina and more power.

"Damn."

Standing up, he hefted Zenryu and began walking. While he was already living in the wilderness and needed to waste a lot of time gathering food and hunting, he now decided to triple his hardship. He had to learn more.

Zenryu slashed through an Akuma's barrel, and Rave followed by grabbing the extending gun on the bottom, and with a single jump tossed himself forward, somersaulting above the shocked spherical creature, then stabbing his sword straight into its center, splitting it in two. Landing easily on both feet and bending them slightly to absorb the shock, Rave glanced at the remains of the Akuma.

"Third one in a couple of days, what do you think?"

They are all moving towards China... something must be up.

"Yeah, thanks for the input, captain obvious."

Behind you!

Rave moved on instinct and dodged the bullet behind him, turned and was faced with an Akuma barrel. He needed to escape somehow, but he could never move faster than an Akuma bullet at zero distance. His eyes saw the light, his ears heard the explosion, and his brain told his body to dodge.

No go. He could never dodge the attack completely. His eyes widened...

Channel your inner powers into your leg muscles! use the same principle as with your basic slash!

His mind worked faster than his body, apparently, since he felt the synapses throb and his muscles ripple, when suddenly he was on top of the Akuma. By then, his body responded and Zenryu flashed out, burying deep into the Akuma's mechanical internals. He jumped off the exploding machine and landed again, with his sword outstretched

"What the hell was that?"

This technique is called Blink. My former master used it.

"Your what? Former master? You mean... the person who had this sword before me?"

Yes. A master swordsman whose fighting style made him into an unbeatable warrior.

"Oh, so NOW you tell me? Great, how about teaching it to me?"

I am doing it as we speak. Your muscles need to learn how to respond, quickly and harmoniously, to your mind... behind you!

This time, Rave was ready. He suddenly blinked forward, the bullets hitting the ground behind him, and turned quickly to regard the third Akuma, this one more ball-like and without the usual extended barrels.

Rave lifted an eyebrow. A rare level 1.5, the midway between a level 2 and 1. Well, level 1.5 or not, it was about to die. Figuring out hot to blink forward was easy, he just had to lean forward. Kicking right off the spherical creature, Rave flew straight up and then slashed downwards with full power, splitting the monster in two.

Sheathing his sword, he glanced at himself. Tattered Exorcist uniform showed a more muscular frame than before, he was growing, and the vigorous training he was doing made him stronger.

"I've got Blink, what's next?"

Rest today. Your muscles won't stand much more effort. Tomorrow, I will teach you new moves.
