Ichigo is still the best. But I think he looks the coolest in hollow form. Somemore, he's a Cancerian just like me, full of crazy personality to defeat people deemed unbeatable with that kind of strong determination. So he's still the best character ever. (But he looks more appealing with that dark look.)

There are other favourite characters too especially Kuchiki Byakuya who looks cool & calm although there is danger preceding. (But Ichigo's still the best although initially I thought he was kinda' like a Mary-sue in the story =P)

I do agree with you on this part of your message. I guess there are some fussy people in the world who are never attracted to either manga or anime that do not contain the usual humour involved. And also, I guess comic relief is still fun to break the possible monotony of watching the anime or manga as if it is too serious, it can become more of a drama rather than a real animation actually~~

rukia-she can go from a polite classmate, to soul reaper, to sympathetic in 0.5 seconds.
ichigo-hes a badass, but a kind guy who will always care more about his friends and family more than himself.
isshin-the comic relief of the whole manga. even though he can be a strange, loud color wearing, ichigo punisher he can still be kind. (see volume three)
kon-the boob obsessed stuffed thingy...lol i enjoy the fact he can't remember the small breasted girls in ichogo's class.

i think that when you have a hard time deciding your favorite character, you have found a truly good anime/manga... the characters are balanced enough that even though one is clearly the main character, he isnt automatically the #1 fav

3: Kisuke-san. I love how he's strong, yet elusive, and so... baka sometimes.
4: Renji Fukutaichou. ex-badass who is now ichigo's friend/rival. heart of gold.
5: Yoruichi-san, the cat version AND human version. She beat Soi Fon!

* SPLIT: Kuchiki Byakuya, the graceful/eminent bastard; changed my mind after end of ch.176 tho~ definitely earned my respect. His senbonzakura is my fave zanpakutou, the most gracefully strong~

Worst:
Ichimaru Gin (creepy face, altho shinsou is l33t), Aizen (too cunning for my taste, why can't he be more outright bastardly like orochimaru in naruto...)

I think in reality, if you're in danger (your life on the line) or you have reached your limit, sometimes you can do something that you wouldn't be able to do it in your ordinary life.

In naruto, the power is sealed in him not purely his own; in bleach, it's purely Ichigo's own power. I still vote for Ichigo over naruto.
