Reputation System Information

Rules
We do not aprove abuse of the rep system. The rep system was made for people that earn their reputation by making good and intelligent posts, repping a person randomly just to increase rep power is strictly forbidden. So is the use of reputation as a currency to buy items.

If we find out the rep system is being abused, this will lead to a rep reset for the abuser. If it happens more often, we will simply disable your rep and the possibility for you to rep people.

How to increase rep strength?
For every 30th day after registration date, will add 1 reputation strength point to your total reputation strength.

For every 100 posts you make, will add 1 reputation strength point to your total reputation strength.

For every 50 reputation points which you receive from others, will add 1 reputation strength point to your total reputation strength.

How can I give reputation, and how many points do I have?
When you achieve your first 25 posts, your reputation strength will be enabled. From this point on it is possible for you to give reputation. If you do not have 25 posts no points are added or reduced upon giving reputation.

You must have at least 10 reputation points above null to be able to make any difference in the reputated users reputation. Every day you can give away a maximum of 5 reputations.

I'm making a tutorial thread and I hope some people now got an answer. The staff could close this thread if they want to , because there is already a thread about it :/. But I hope this would make it more clear.

 What does Reputation points do?
- While your posting on this forum, you get more points. With that points you can give someone Reputation.
Don't worry, you wont lose points while giving someone.
It's for the fun and instead of showing how many posts you've got.
You see your points in your posts next to the green thing.

:confused:How can I give someone Reputation?
- You can give someone Reputation by clicking on this in her/his post:

Remember, you can't give Reputation to that person the whole time and you can't give yourself Reputation.

:confused:What are that green things next to the number?
- That green things is a positive bar. Everyone begins with one positive bar: http://forums.bleachportal.net/images/reputation/reputation_pos.gif
When you have 100 Reputation points (getting from people or by contests) you get another green bar: http://forums.bleachportal.net/images/reputation/reputation_pos.gifhttp://forums.bleachportal.net/images/reputation/reputation_pos.gif
etc.

:confused:Some people here have grey bars: http://forums.bleachportal.net/images/reputation/reputation_off.gif what does that mean?
- Those people got there reps disabled. It could be permanently (depends on how nice the admins are). If you don't want that, just don't begg etc. for Reputation.

:confused:Oke... But you have red bars too!: http://forums.bleachportal.net/images/reputation/reputation_neg.gif what is that then?
- That's negative reputation. You could get negative reputation if you're not nice etc. for people. Don't worry, it's not permanently.

:confused:I want to join a division... But they cannot see my posts, so what now?
- Captains and VC Captains don't only look at how many posts you have. They're looking how good they are, if they aren't spam etc. Advice: check the first post from a division (they can also see your Custom User Title... Newbie or not.)

:confused:So what's the different from that green bar and the number?
- With the number you can give people Reputation. If you have the number 9, the person who you are giving reputation gets +9 Reputation points.
That green bar shows how populair you are (if you have many Reputation etc.)

 Where can I see how many reputation I have?
- Go to your User CP (you see it above)-> the first page-> Latest Reputation Received.
You could also click on the way you would give someone reputation, but then in your own post. You cannot give Reputation to yourself, you will only see how many Reputation you have and if that post received Reputation.

:confused:I cannot see from who I got Reputation :/... Why?
Indeed... You cannot see it. When you give someone reputation points, you can write a comment. In that comment you could say you're name.
You'll only know where you got the Reputation points (whitch thread).
Edit: DB changed it, so now you can see who gave you rep. Just look in your User CP .

New:
Wondering why you have so many rep points all of the sudden?:
