I dunno if this has even been discussed or not. But what would you say....if I thought that Hollow Ichigo is going to be the last major enemy and that Ichigo will have to die? Now that....would be as messed up as the end of EVA.

Yea, it's been mentioned a few times. I think it's a possibility, but I think I would rather see him learn to control the hollow inside him.

The main reason I think that won't happen is because Hollows kill indiscriminately (except certain ones like Grand Fisher who only preys on women). But maybe he will learn to control it, only because whenever he has the hollow come out of him, there's no hole in his chest. So perhaps it has a soul as well as Ichigo.

The hollow is Ichigo, just his hollow form. He wouldn't fight it but learn to control it. Why would he make himself weaker?

Think about it. What would his bankai be without his Hollow side? Maybe if he purges the hollow side of his soul, he'll become even greater? Perhaps even a god.
