I'll be honest and say this has ZERO chance of happening. By burdening her with her special "Ichigo-sense" KT has essentially tattooed "Property of Ichigo" onto her forehead and forced her into choosing Ichigo as her mate. (This was reinforced in CH 237 with her "Five Lives" speech.) Because of this she will never have a chance of having a close romantic relationship with any other man since this special awareness of Ichigo will always come between them in the end. There's no way that any self-respecting guy like Ishida "Quincy Pride" Uryuu would ever be with a woman who has this type of spiritual connection with another man. The best she ever hope for is for some loser like Keigo or Kon who doesn't mind being Orihime's second choice.

As I see it the only possible outcomes for Orihime are: 1) she gets together with Ichigo, 2) she gets together with nobody or 3) she dies. My dreams of her finding a spirit prince are just that: dreams.


.I have always thought that Ichigo was a selfish insensitive and uncaring brat when he went training with the vaizards. Selfish, insensitive in when it comes to his family.....and cocky and rude when he deal with the other vaizards and shinigamis.

Don't forget how he made Chad cry. And ironically, he's been pretty awful to Rukia, too. Remember how right after his group arrives in SS he completely forgets about their mission to save Rukia and instead was more interested in completing his fight with Ganju? Even if he isn't in love with Rukia that's still irresponsible and unacceptable, especially seeing how the only reason that Orihime and Chad were in SS at all was because of him. With this type of behavior how do we know that when he tries to rescue Orihime that he won't suddenly ditch her to go fight some random hollow? She could be dead by the time he remembers that she's in danger.

Hirako Shinji....i kinda like him only now.....at first I thought he was a brat....a loser who is following orders to bring Ichigo into Vaizards....but after how many chapters......lol and behold, he's actually the vaizard leader.....who knows everything how to control vaizards and fight kickass!!!!!

Now....the thought about him hugging Orihime isn't really that disgusting anymore!!!! I mean......Hirako.....the only person I can think with him is Jiraiya and Isshin combined....except this man is daring and charming.

That's what I like to see......goofy, dopey and laid-back people with eccentric behaviours; it's only a mask to the kind of power they are hiding.

Not like some other characters....coming with confidence and POWER.....only to see themselves get defeated, left right and centre.......what a letdown.....**hints, hints, Kurosaki Ichigo and Kuchiki Rukia...hints, hints** These characters are really lame.....

As in regards to Orihime.....in my opinion.....Hirako Shinji just love beautiful girls. Although......after the Kurosaki school incident.....he doesn't seem to be actively courting her, IMO. What a pity....I thought Hirako had the best pick-up lines.....when it comes to complimenting girls.

And I'm disappointed that he's not really actively preventing Orihime from being captured. I mean.....if he knows what Aizen and Hongyouku could do.....he seen Haachi's power.....couldn't he join the pieces together....that they are after Orihime??

Believe it or not, I feel the same way. It's just I'm a bit disappointed with KT that he has not allowed Orihime to have any real choice in the matter of her own future happiness.

Yeah, okay I mis-read you there. You know, it probably would be best for her character to move on, especially since dragging this out so long kinda makes Inoue look kinda like a freak, being so obsessed with Ichigo and all. That's probably why most of the Ichigo-fangirls hate her XD.

One thing is, as of now I'm not sure adding a new male to take Ichigo's place in Inoue's obsessive personality is an option. We MAY be seeing the last 100 or so chapters as they're released and the war begins. It might seem awkward unless Aizen has collected someone else who has the near same ability as her and is holding him at bay for her to meet later.

Actually......Orihime kinda has more choices....let me see, Kenpachi, HIRAKO SHINJI!!!, Kensei (had a feeling that he liked her also.....since he was very crossed when Hirako made claim on Orihime), Haachi, Hitsugaya Toshirou, Aizen (that would be really, really cool.....to be loved by a man like him....), etc.....

More than Ichigo, though.....he does get the boy-girl thing with equally beautiful girls like Matsumoto, Yoruichi, Lisa, Hiyori.....with sexual inuendoes flying between the two.

Yet there isn't much interaction between the male/female with the others compared with him and her.......which is good.

Honestly speaking.....I know KT is a consistent man.......to read through the stories and get from here and there .....and they are connected, tying up the loose ends.....which I really liked him much in this sense because it brings a sense that KT is more of a god (man of words....and having one-tracked mind)...

Ichigo and Orihime.....have been connected through many times.....if not romantically but also through humor. If you are talking about consistency.....I believe Ichigo and Orihime has been constant in term of interaction, relations, spirituality (Kaien/Miyako....ability to smell him and sense his reiatsu)....there isn't just the girl's part only. I mean.....their relationship isn't really the SasukeSakura kind....where only one party showed interest....the other, well he played it very well.....the point of hiding his feelings in indifference face. Ichigo......I don't believe it was one-sided love affair on the girl's part.....I had a feeling KT made it a double one-sided love affair, one for the girl and the other for the boy.

Which is okay......judging to the fact there are so many 'Ichigo-Orihime hints'; fluffy, warm and funny; that had been accumulated in the past few years......it wouldn't be a surprise to the Orihime and IchiHime supporters.....in the wake of this new event.

I still hate Ichigo though. It's not how he mistreat Inoue that makes me hate him (in fact it's how he treats Inoue much better....made it tolerable for me). Just seeing his arrogant and rude face.....it just boils my blood.

Honestly.....I'm really unhappy with IchigoInoue's connection and relations. But since the two kinda 'like' each other.....and KT likes seeing them together....why not?? IchiHime romance is certainly much better and warmer than the other pairings which are meant to be funny and shallow.

I still don't like Ichigo as a person.

I always thought Ichigo was too thick to take Orihime's obvious feelings for him seriously. He really doesn't know how to appreciate women. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ichigo's like a robot, a killing machine. He's brilliant and a kickass at fighting and whatnot, but he has practically no emotions, as in we've only seen him getting worked up over two issues. One is when his family was attacked and the second was when Rukia was taken away. I dunno, I'd like to see Ichigo develop some romantic feelings or expand on the ones he already has cuz right now, his character also lacks depth. Orihime's character in my mind is the most developed right now.

Btw, can you please please tell me where I can get some of Kubo's interviews? I can't find any anywhere... :confused: only one actually, but that was a really short one. Where did it say KT said Orihime's was his fav character and the hating happy people thing?

Wow, took the words right from my mouth. I had argued this point on another message board at one time.

But I don't know, Inoue's always hinting she likes Ichigo quite a bit. I mean she's so caring towards him and it seems above normal friendly caring. You wonder if maybe that Ichigo knows, but being his tough exterior, doesn't want to tell at all. Could be an ego thing, or maybe he's just stupid.

As fans though, we've seen alot more than Ichigo would. So maybe were just noticing more because Inoue's said it right out. Meaning Ichigo could be totally dumb to the entire situation.

Most likely, and from what I can tell, Ichigo may end up going to find Inoue and Fight Aizen with Shinji and company instead of the Soul Society peeps DX..

I think chapter 238 was good. At least Binktopia's translation of the sidestory. I understood the Ichigo, Renji and Ikkaku portion more and it makes it more sense with Ikkaku looking at mr lonely crab....but doesn't know that ms Yachiru is putting one into his ****** Poor Ikkaku.....that's really a hurt in his pride.

Though I felt KT could have done much better in this.......in revealing what might had happened to Inoue. Yes, Ichigo's reaction was well expected......but making it as such Ichigo to know Orihime going to Huenco Mundo after healing him.......would make him.....I don't know......more determined to go after Inoue?!

I really don't want to see another rescue arc soon.......it would really be pathetic to get a rescue arc......within two months and the straight into winter war!!

This really is a compliment. I have never seen anyone hating a person so....animatedly?? Cheerfully?? Most people would just say die, die, all the negative stuffs they wished on a character they hate.....but you turned it into......I really cannot describe it in few words.

Well......they did colour Kurosaki Ichigo's hair black.....to make it black sun. At first glance....I thought it was Shiba Kaien (what was Shiba Kaien doing there?? He was dead!!)

Only looking at the sword....I realized that it was Kurosaki Ichigo. If you compare to Inoue Orihime, would you relate Kurosaki Ichigo with warm, kind and life-giving??

That's why Orihime is far more superior than Rukia in ths area. She has a lot of character developement, and a good Bleach tool/character to expand the story. Her personalit also makes it much easy for her to be paired with almost al the Bleach males, not necessary Kurosaki Ichigo.

And they say Rukia is independent............yet she needs to be seen next to Ichigo to gain an identity for herself.

I find GrimmXOri to be a really interesting pairing since Grimm is in a way Ichigo's archenemy even moreso than Aizen is. And let's face it, he's better looking than Ichigo is and way cooler, too. It would be great if he rebelled against Aizen and escaped from Hueco Mundo along with Orihime and Wanderweiss. Also, I'd love to see him taunt Ichigo by saying he had stolen Orihime away from him.

Ok, I'd like to join. Here's why like Orihime:

I find that people that seem silly and spaced out like Orihime are often the more wise people in life. They are innocent, so they don't try and look all clever and intellectual - that is an insecure trait of stupid people more often than not. And because of their innocence have a more true take on life, rather than one warped by how they want to seem to others.

To get all serious and mythical, in many different mystic beliefs The Fool, represented by the number zero, is the source of all things and the only truly wise person. This can be seen, for example, with the fool in King Lear. Ha, anyway, that's not what went through my head when I saw her, but after becoming attached to her, I realised that connection.

It's like Osaka in Azumanga Daioh. On a very, very simple level one may say that Yomi is the intelligent one... because she wears glasses. Of course, all that means is that she has bad eyes. On the other hand, Osaka often comes out with the interesting things and weird little takes on things... Just like Orihime... You've gotta love her "The future me" drawing, as it shows how she really thinks outside the box, whether she wants to or not.

But what really clinches it is her serious, sensitive side that is within all the silliness. I found it really touching in the manga when she was talking to the sleeping manga, about even if she had 5 lives, she'd still fall in love with the same person.

I've got to say, for all this talk about how the anime has changed Orihime and her relationship with Ichigo, I've only recently started to read the manga and from the anime alone I was always under the impression that she really likes Ichigo and that she's sensitive and perceptive under her silly exterior.

It's true that the manga makes a much bigger feature out of IchigoxOrihime, but me and my other Bleach-watching friend (who has never once even looked at the manga) both always took Orihime as a girl who is actually very smart but has a sort of dumb exterior (sort of like Columbo!) and really fancies Ichigo.

Perhaps, when you come from the manga to the anime a lot of the Orihime stuff seems pretty much totally diminished, but coming from the anime to the manga I can say that it was always obvious, but the manga just has more scenes about it.

I think that the anime is focusing more on IchigoxRukia, if only to keep it simple because afterall an anime based on a manga is just meant to be a more accessible version of the manga. If KT takes the manga in a strong IchogoxOrihime direction then the anime will have no choice but to follow - it's just that at the moment, while it's still quite ambiguous, the anime has free reign to sort of lean in one direction.

Yes, indeed, when transiting from anime to manga (I started with the anime too, btw) you can clearly see that Inoue is smart etc. etc. under that air-headed exterior, but that's if there are two key elemnts on:
1. You're mature enough to bother looking under the obvious and outer shell (sadly this seems to be turned off with so many fans...)
2. You are ready to admit that Inoue has a deep side to her and not only a airhead. This is less needed in the manga, especiall with the latest developments, where it takes a true anti-Inoue fan to ignore her depth, but is very neccesary in the anime, where much of this have been diminished.

Yes, it's a great chapter. I didn't think she was going to disappear, though. I think she's always been a fairly popular character, always in the top 20 (while that might not sound that impressive, IIRC, Yuzu was number 50 or something awful like that.) I think it'd be odd if the bad guys show an interest in her and then that's the last we see of her! :)

I agree. Although I suppose they're just too lazy to do that, it's bad enough counting polls for every voter's one choice. How hectic would it be to count three?

Who here reckons that Orihime will actually grow stronger in combat skills, ie. using Tsubaki? I think the chances are 50:50. Aizen could turn her into a weapon in which Tsubaki's power would obviously be increased. Or he could just continue to exploit her healing powers and make her feeling vulnerable instead of fighting for him.

One thing though, I think he's going to make sure that Inoue returns. I don't know how, but here his motives are rather clear: Inoue's ability to reject events that has already occured (such as Grimm's arm) is such an asset to Aizen that he simply cannot afford for the situation to remain as it is. Orihime's importance is growing and growing, and still some people are convinced that she is useless.

It seems fandom generally dismissed her so of course they'd be suprise at the development. It had been said again and agian in little hints throughout the SS arc but people just kept the frame of mind that it wasn't anything. I think a lot where even shocked she had so much screen time as well becuase Orihime had already been dismissed as nothing but a side character.

But he just has this "Must. Kill." attitude but without the pure insanity of similar characters like Orochi Iori of King of Fighters, who's undergone something called the Riot of the Blood and gained power only surpassed by his insanity...

I just thought of a nice idea for a fan fic, but I probably won't do it because I'm lazy like that, and I've never written a fan fic before anyway.

But the idea is that everyone decides to make a cake for Orihime for her birthday. The thing is, as well all know, Orihime has a weird taste in food. So Ichigo, Tatsuki, Chizuro (maybe - I don't really like her) and others all have to think like Orihime and make the most bitter, sweet, sour and tangy cake they can think of with a load of ingredients that don't go together at all!

I'd have thought Tsubaki would be exactly the same cuz Orihime isn't doing much there at all except using her healing (or Godly) powers. And I don't think Aizen's really helping her improve by the looks of it.

What I meant was that if originaly Tsubaki was cutting things in two (like the hollow Orihime killed), now his power will probably grow (in proprtion to Orihime's), enabling him to do much more damage, so I said he will be 'tearing holes in things' and not 'cutting things'.

Yeah, just to back up Undying here...

All of Orihime's abilities are based around rejecting. Her shield rejects the impact of something, her "healing" rejects the damage that has been done, and Tsubaki rejects the enemy themselves, or perhaps the force that binds them in one piece.

Therefore, just as she now has a better understanding of rejecting the damage done to people (see her essentially resurrecting the two shinigami that Ulquiorra kills, or totally repairing Grimm's arm and tattoo) she also has a better understanding of rejecting as an ability altogether. Remember, as someone told her - do not ask "how" do you do something, but "how do you want to" do something.

In other words, since her skill is based entirely around rejecting things, if she can just use her imagination and fully realise how this "rejection" can be utilised, she'll have far stronger powers in all areas.
