Well I wouldn't look at it in terms to "leaving" or "staying"... It's not like if you don't come here for a few days you can't come back, I mean, nor is it a physical location - it's accessible from any web-enabled PC... So it's not like moving to a different state or country. :)

I keep having quite large absences, as do a lot of the other people that were here when I joined, such as Suzuka, jertuyq and Damascus (well, I certainly see a lot less of the last two's posts - but that could just be because I've been here less - and I've actually been talking to Suzuka about how we come in less nowadays).

I generally will come in after an episode or chapter is released then moan about it! Before I was here every day because it was just new, and new things are always more exciting and addictive. When the manga gets rolling again (it's getting there now) and when the anime actually starts telling the story of Bleach again, rather than the demented ramblings of Mr. Random Guy That Works On The Anime Team... When that happens, I'm sure I'll be more inspired.

Well basically, I just don't get it when people think of forums like a hotel or a holiday location and they say "I've been hear for over a year now... I think it's time I moved on!" and things like that. I mean, it's one website on the internet on the PC in the corner of one of the rooms in my house... It's not like we're all waking the corridors of some vast building or complex and just "have to get out" and move to a different place. To me it would be like saying "I've been using this spoon to eat my ice cream for too long now... I think I should stop. I've had a lot of fun using this spoon to eat ice cream... I mean, I have a lot of fond memories about licking it clean - and when I think of all the lovely flavours I've eaten! But it's time to move on from this spoon... Towards a better future!" :D

I have a question for everyone. What do people think will happen to Orihime after everything is done, assuming she makes it out the current situation ok? It seems to me that her life can never be the same again and that changes will need to take place for her to continue living in Karakura. Her godlike powers now make her the potential target of every villain in the Bleach universe and she will be henceforth constantly in danger of being kidnapped and/or brainwashed. Therefore, its likely she will need new living arrangements if she is to be kept safe from harm as living alone in an apartment as she is now would make her too vulnerable. The safest place for her would probably with the vizards, and the next safest would probably be with Urahara, where she could even get a job working in his candy shop. Is there anyplace else she could go and be safe? The Kurosakis?

Also, I firmly believe that her feelings for Ichigo have to be resolved one way or another in this arc, because it is due to her feelings for Ichigo that she visited him and was later branded a traitor by Yamamoto. Thus, if Orihime is to be cleared of those charges the reasons for her visiting him will have to be revealed.

If Ichigo does end up returning her affections, then what follows would be fairly predictable, but in the case that he rejects them what would happen? Firstly, it would likely be a rather publicly humiliating rejection, as everyone would by then know of her feelings for him. Secondly, would he still keep his vow to protect her or would she release him from that promise? And if she did release him, how would he react if something were to happen to her now that it's known how desirable her powers would be to any villain?

Any thoughts?

Imo, if her feelings are returned by Ichigo, then the safest place for her would be the Kuraosaki household; she gets two powerful Shinigami for the price of one, and she gets Ichigo protecting her. If he was to engage in a relationship with her, I bet his vow to protect her would take on immesurable dimensions.

As for resolving her feelings, well, I hold the opinion that he won't return them but won't reject them.

I want to know what happened. Has she succeeded? What effect shall her powers have on the Hougyoku?

Here's an idea for a serious (more or less) discussion. What effect do you think her powers will have on the Hougyoku?

since her powers seem to "heal," if she was able to do anything to the Hougyoku, it would return it to it's "extreme" form, if there is a greater form of the Hougyoku.

maybe that's wat Aizen is waiting for. that's y he showed it to her...remember the "psychological cage?" He might allow inoue to do it on her own, rather than forcing her to, which she wouldn't, and end up killing her instead.
Maybe that's the reason Aizen was so interested in her powers to begin with.

Aizen explained early on that Orihime's power are to "reject" the ever occurence of an event, in other words, if you get shot and are gun-wounded, she would heal your body as if there never ever was an injury in the first place, meaning no rehab, no afterpains and no scars.

Also, Imagine The Hougyoku as one of the many weapons in any RPG, it has a certain set amount of durability, when that durability decreases, the stats of the weapon decreases that when it was brand new, even if you do repair the weapon, it would not return to the form when it was first obtained ( reference Diablo II ).

So Aizen is using Orihime In order to restore the Hougyoku's "Durability" when he first obtained it, at that time, it wasn't worn out due to excessive use to make the espadas and arrancar that surround Aizen. Due to Aizen's use, the Hougyoku's power has probably quite decreased and hence, decreases the speed of production of his arrancar army which might prove to be a major blow to his plan. So, he uses Orihime to rejuvenate the production course with ever "rejecting" occurence of the Hougyoku wearing out.

In a more scientific manner:

-Hougyoku ( First Obtained ) >>>>>>>>> Hougyoku ( After being excessively used )

-Hougyoku ( First Obtained ) >>>> Hougyoku ( Repaired by normal methods (Reiatsu Injection, etc...) )

-Hougyoku ( First Obtained ) = Hougyoku ( Repaired By Orihime )

Aizen's plan seems to be pretty well thought, but Orihime's resolve to "reject" the occurence of the Hougyoku ever been created will need a great deal of power and she has to be fast about it, I mean, Aizen will watch her and will know when the Hougyoku is repaired enough, if she tries to reject even more into the past, Aizen well most certainly stop her, So it's all up to her change in power and resolve that will decide whether or not she will be able to dispose of the Hougyoku... God Bless Orihime!

Anyway, well, there are a few strange things here.

One, Aizen isn't watching Orihime. Aizen is in his throne room talking to some Espada. I didn't see Orihime there. Did you?

Two, Orihime intends to reject the creation of the Hougyoku, hence destroying it. If it's very creation never occured, it will alter history greatly too (no Rukia, no Ichigo getting Shinigami powers, no Aizen betraying Soul Society).

Strange indeed. I wonder, if my theory regarding the effect of the Hougyoku is correct, then it's effect is similiar to Orihime's powers in essence.

My theorty regarding the Hougyoku is that it rejects the "loss of heart" - i.e., the regret that led to the human soul's loss of heart and Hollow transformation. At least, that's the simple part. Since the Hougyoku also keeps the Hollow part of the soul intact (thusit becomes a hybrid instead of a shinigami).

Due to this apparent similiarity, I suspect Inoue's powers would have a different effect on the Hougyoku than what she intends. And I suspect Aizen knows this quite well.

When I was saying that Aizen would watch her I meant that when she begins the process of restoring the Hougyoku to its prime form he would then have to witness such an important event himself, I don't think Aizen would be playing Bleach Heat the soul in the game room and keeps yelling from time to time " HEY INOUE, YA DONE YET??"... No, he must supervise on such an important matter WHEN orihime would start the restoration.

Orihime's power do not jump back in time, if so, then everytime she healed a person, they would all be warped back before that person was injured, that can not be true, why? observe Jidanbou for instance, Orihime healed him by rejecting his injury, did we then see Gin coming through the seiretei doors again ready to attack Ichigo and Co.? No, Instead I think The reason Orihime's powers are thought to be Godlike is because she can reject only a single occurence without affecting the timeflow around that occurence, hence don't worry if she rejects the formation of the Hougyoku, Bleach Anime would not jump back to Episode -47 ( Urahara creates the Hougyoku ) Special.

Also, Aizen would never let Orihime do the restoration process without him seeing it, so scratch the "you-guys-watch-over-Orihime-and-I'mma-gonna-take-a-nap" theory.

Anyways, these are my thoughts, please discuss.
