She takes care of her friends and the ultimate opposite of the evil guys. Whilst character like Ichigo who is too one of my favorites posses a personality that sometimes nears that of the bad guys, she does not kill, she want's to save evreyone, including an enemy. And she is always worried about her friends (specifically Ichigo, whom I believe shall be her boyfriend). How can you not like/hate such a personality? I suspect that those who hate/no like Inoue also would dissapprove of Touru from Fruits Basket. Theire personalities are exceptionally identical.

What you said there is pretty much identical to why I like Orihime. Islaya is our leader, so he's the one that officially lets people in. As for me, I can't see why he won't let you in, so let me welcome you; it's good to see Orihime fans coming out the woodwork.

I've always found it difficult to understand why people find her to be annoying, as most of what she does is generally more in the "adorable" category. She's not intended to be a really annoying character.

I must disagree with those who find Yachiru annoying, I find her character amusing and her very existence intriguing. You have Zaraki Kenpachi, a ruthless, cold-blooded killer who is obviously very much attached to the little pink-haired child he's more or less adopted as his daughter. It's obvious by their banter and the way that they interact that they both care about each other quite a bit, and I find it an utterly fascinating part of Zaraki's personality.

Is Kenpachi really a "cold blooded killler"? To me it seemed he is a "hot blooded killer". And Orihime... She's just like Touru from fruits basket. Can you hate it? (@_@ Did I said it before?)

This is the only forum I've been to where so many people don't like Orihime, honestly. And what stupid reasons I've heard.

1. She's "ditzy". (No, she's clumbsy. And she's also spontaneous. There's a major difference. She's not stupid, either, she's one of the top scores on the exams.)
2. She's "in the way of IchiRuki". (As far as I can tell, she's stepping aside, just because she's so kind as to sacrifice her own happiness for Ichigo and Rukia.)
3. She's "mean to Rukia". (...What nutcase thought this up?)

Ever since the 2nd episode, Orihime's line "My green onions, butter, banana, and sweetbean jelly are all uninjured!" I was laughing and going "Aww" at all of her antics. ^__^ She reminds me of a mix of Tohru from Fruits Basket, and Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura.

Oh yes. Spaces out and looks stupid, yet a very strong and gentle character. If you ask me (no one does but what the hell) I think she's the thing for Ichigo. Kinda like a restrainer to make sure he doesn't become a second Kenpachi. And, I also have a question for the people who say "she's in the way for IchiRuki". How do you know this will end up being an IchiRuki love? She does step aside for the sake of Ichigo and Rukia, but she just may confess to Ichigo. Knowing Rukia's character, she'll step aside for thire happiness.

And back on topic(s), Yachiru doesn't annoy me as much. I like her sense of misdirection. As for Rukia and Ichigo, all signs seem to point that their going to be a couple, but with Kubo Tite at the helm, you just never know.

Oh yes, he had no problem turning a dead four-eyes martyr to an evil mastermind. So unless Rukia grabs Ichigo (I mean confesses to him) Inoue can just confess (and grab her breats in front of him. Even Tatsuki said that she should have done it). So in short, we'll have to wait and see. A new topic, anyone?

I'm wondering why people are so insistent on IchigoxRukia given that Rukia is normally a konpaku who lives in the Soul Society, not to mention a great deal older than Ichigo is. Realistically, such a relationship would not work. Ichigo would age and die long before a hint of gray even touched Rukia's hair.

The only way it could really work is if Rukia was given a spirit-draining gigai like Isshin apparently possesses. And while that is terribly romantic I'm sure, I wouldn't be so sure that it's a realistic expectation for her to want to make that sacrifice, given how important her spirit powers seem to be to her.

But then you never know. Frankly, I wouldn't start thinking in the direction of IchigoxRukia unless Ichigo dies. Not that his death would surprise me.

All true. But, there's the point of Ichigo being a living Shinigami. Y'see, we don't know what that makes his body. A Gigai, perhaps? If that's the case, Ichigo shouldn't really "age". He'll be like a Shinigami. But the truth is, that Ichigo can't "be with Rukia" because Rukia lives in a differnt world. And... Do you really think that Byakuya will accept Ichigo into the family?

The truth is i don't know. Ichigo doesn't look like the type that would care about those things just like that. All the IchiRuki fans see love when he comes to save her, and all that, but is there anything there? I don't know. I support IchigoxInoue though.

I personally don't see Ichigo living as a Shinigami. It seems established that he is indeed a human, as are his two sisters. He isn't one to just abandon his body and live as a Shinigami (especially since it probably means that Kon would get his body, something he absolutely would NOT permit).

I personally prefer that Ichigo be with Orihime for any number of reasons. I don't mind Rukia as a character by any stretch of the imagination, but I think Orihime and Ichigo would suit each other better as a couple and I like Orihime's devotion to Ichigo and would enjoy seeing that rewarded.

I believe I may have said this in a different thread but since this is a manga, and a shounen one at that, I am really not expecting any canon pairings to be made. The best we'll get is more than likely a bunch of skirting the issue and vague hints in one way or another. Very few anime have any kind of established relationship, I've noticed.

Not if they are love based, then the relationship is quite visible. And Bleach is nowhere near that category. But somehow Bleach gives me the feeling that it's slightly different than other Shounen misg-mash.

I personally have this thing for IchiHime, it seems so sweet to me. I always saw a close friendship with Rukia and Ichigo, but no one has the right to go so far as saying that there's an official romance between the two, at least not yet. You never know with Kubo. (rhyme!) I don't know, it seems boring and cliche to me... the two main characters.

While we are on the topic of pairings, what is everyone's thoughts on the other popular choice, Ishida and Orihime?

I can see Ishida and Orihime being togther, they make a good pair, and its a stong possiblility they may get togther after everything they went through togther in Soul Society. lol, I can see the look on everyone in Ichigo's schools faces if Ishida and Orihime start going out XD

Ishida and Orihime is a definitely a possibility, due to all of the events that took place during their trip to the Soul Society. I'm just not a fan of this pairing though; Ishida is too boring for Orihime. Nothing against the fellow, but I'd rather see Orihime get with someone with more pizzazz.

She can constantly catch him off guard, which could be considered rather adorable, but at the moment I have no reason to believe that they have any real deep connection. If one were to form, maybe I'd change my opinion, but I just don't really see it happening at the moment.

Ishida and Hime... Umm, I don't think it's possible at the moment due to two reasons: One, Ishida swore to his dad that he won't associate with Shinigami's and their friends, which means that Inoue (who is not just friends with Shinigamis, she has a crush on one!) and two, Ishida seems to have fallen of the globe at the moment, he wasn't even shown at school... Besides those to reasons, Inoue is too spaced out for Ishida. While Ichigo can make her stop daydreaming, Ishida won't do a thing, so even if they were together, they'll have trouble communicating.

No, since for Inoue's sake Ichigo will subdue the Hollow with so much force the Hollow will not come out for a thousand yeasrs (if he doesn't combine with Ichigo and they become the strongest Vaizard).

The Anti-Orihimes dislike her for one or both of these two reasons:

1) She is getting in the way of Ichigo and Rukia.

2) She's "stupid."

The thing about #1 is that she isn't even trying to get at Ichigo. She likes him, yeah, but she isn't forcing herself on him, you know? And regarding #2, she's just like a little kid. I find her childish behaviors kinda cute. And she has a good heart to go with that, which makes her much more lovable.

What about you guys? Is there anything else you really like about her that I may have missed?

I never found her stupid. She had one of the top scores on the school exams if I remember correctly, anyway. I don't see how it's possible for so many people confuse spontaneous with stupid. -_-;

She just has a vivid imagination and a childlike naivete in social situations. She had a pretty lonely childhood with only Tatsuki around to really understand her. Remember how she was so proud of herself for figuring out that Ishida likes Rukia? (Way off the mark.) She is very smart, she just might have a little trouble reading people, which is completely understandable. Her intentions are what's important, and her intentions are completely pure. ^_^

Orihime's vivid imagination, as was mentioned earlier, is more than likely a manifestation of what happened with her childhood, if you don't have friends as a child you naturally compensate in other ways.

When it matters, she can see things quite clearly. She's not necessarily good at interacting with others, and is thus a bit socially awkward (probably one of the reasons she's so endearing), but she means well and if it's important, she can be relied upon.

Good hearted - who but a good hearted person would save an enemy and weep for the death of another enemy (in the Mayuri encounter)? Kind - she cares for everyone and can't kill (no intent to kill, making fighting Shinigamis a bit hare for her). True - she doesn't lie, not to herself or friends (and if she does, her head hurts - Tatsuki and Inoue conversation, filler ep). The only thing she refused to admit ('refused' in pasr tense because... Nah, it's be spoilers) was her loving of Ichigo - and that for Rukia's sake! Who but a very king a caring person would do that?

Ishida and Orihime is a definitely a possibility, due to all of the events that took place during their trip to the Soul Society. I'm just not a fan of this pairing though; Ishida is too boring for Orihime. Nothing against the fellow, but I'd rather see Orihime get with someone with more pizzazz.

How about Orihime and Hitsugaya?? I think they both look cute. Hitsugaya has a little bit similar to Ichigo (except he's more cooler and level headed)

I gone scouting around those threads who happened to be anti-orihime and apparently......they complained in manga chapter 213.....that Inoue was healing everybody. :rolleyes:

What the heck??? Here they were fussing (a positive type of fuss) over the 'so-wonderful-and-LOOK-ITS WHITE-OPPOSITE ICHIGO'S ZANPAKUTOU' of the female char (I shall not name her, its obvious to those who follow the manga) and when she get hit, they cry wishing for Ichigo to look for her sake.

But when our darling Orihime entered the picture and healed others (because that's the only thing she can do and ONLY SHE CAN DO IT), they acted as if she is so bit*** about it. What were they hoping for?? Tessai/Urahara or Captain Unohona to drop everything in SS and come in and heal the wounded shinigamis?? I did wished that Orihime did what I would have done, stop healing Rukia and let her heal herself. That would give others a concrete reason to hate Inoue. But she can't because she cares so much for Ichigo.

On another note, me who really REALLY LIKES Orihime, thinks Orihime is going to reach her limits if she decides to heal not only four shinigamis but five shinigamis (she couldn't let Ichigo go bleeding like that). That would really spiritually exhaust her. And let's not forget, she's injured herself. Even in manga 213 I THINK she looks like she is about to faint. Hopefully the next manga chapter would have Ichigo catching her when she falls unconscious and forget everything about Rukia.

Yes, Orihime's healing powers should never be taken lightly. It's way more potent than most people think. Seeing her heal all those people, without regard to her own health, clearly shows me one of the reasons why I like her so much: she really cares about the others.

I have noticed that there are only two main reasons for people not to like Orihime...

First, they don't want her to get between Ichigo and Rukia.

Second, they are jealous.

It's sad really, because of such selfish reasons many people never give such a great character a chance. T,T

In an attemt to justify their hatred they do come up with the silliest things though...

"She's useless!" Only if it weren't for her, Ichigo, Rukia, Chad, Ishida, Jidanbou, Tastuki, Chizuru, and many others would all be dead.

"She's stupid!" Only she is 3rd in her class, and Ichigo considers her 100x more intelligent than himself.

"She's weak!" Except that the only person we have yet seen who has stronger healing techniques is the Captain of the 4th Division. Even Ichigo himself has more than 1 person who is stronger than him in his area of expertise (fighting).

So, can I join this FC? I just love Inoue's kindness, her devotion to her friends, her willingness to sacrifice herself for others, her continued desire and attempts to improve, and her wacky demeanor. ^^

Yeah, im a member of the IchigoxRukia FC, and yes I like them as a couple, but I can also see Ichigo and Orihime togther too, I would be happy with whoever Ichigo chooses. But the reasons people give not to like Orihime are stupid, look at the things she has done to make Ichigo and Rukia happy. Yes, it has been show she loves Ichigo, but she is willingly stepping aside to make Ichigo happy, thats no reason to hate her, I actually think its kinda of sweet, it shows just how much she cares for Ichigo, she would sacrafice her happiness for his.

Exactly... Besides, remeber that Matsumoto was the only one that Ichigo added honorifics to? (when they arrived, he called them all by their names, and added -san to Matsumoto) But really, Ichigo didn't clamp down his finger when Matsumoto begun to undress (I love that scene). So he is a little less shy now.

As far as characters, I like Orihime more than Rukia, she's far more developed. That's not to say that Rukia lacks depth, of course, but Orihime is just a much funner character to watch. I really do like IchigoxOrihime, I think Rukia should end up with Renji. It also resolves the problems inherent in a Shinigami/human relationship.

I don't hate Rukia at all. But she's certainly not my favorite. Orihime, however, is definitely up there as far as characters I like.

I like Orihime more also. She is much better than Rukia in drawing chibi/super deformed. Rukia looks like Ichigo/Renji when the story is suppose to be funny. I highly recommend reading the manga. It's quite good and it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the anime at all.

Tsubaki is an interesting character for me, he's obviously beholden to Orihime (as a manifestation of her power) but he obviously isn't willing to take any crap from her and can be quite derisive. At the same time, he also seems quite dedicated to her protection. An interesting dichotomy indeed.

Yep, Orihime is special in its class of her own like other female anime characters that other people like. She is indeed very caring to her friends and to the people she doesn't really know of. Despite being chased by the shinigamis, she still doesn't bear any grudges towards them, and was ever willing to try and save them.

Like what Kon said about her, she's the perfect earth example of Goddess of Mercy.

No wonder all the Ichi-ikkou boys and Tatsuki (and to the extend Chizuru) often look out for Orihime's well-being first. They know her to care so much to the point of hurting herself first than others.

Smelly taufu!! Found in HK, China, Singapore and M'sia. The smell is like so smelly like a dumpsite garbage smell....and when you start to bite it, the purgent smell will stay in your nose, but it's crunchy. You eat it with pickled onions and fermented coleslaw. Before, I dare not touch it because I thought these who made it must have put the taufu near the garbage bin to get the smell:eek13:

Because Bleach was suppose to be originally funny with Inoue having funny and cute lines as she was suppose to be ditzy, innocent and happy-go-lucky blond initially. I like her behaviour very much and her crush for Ichigo is so endearing.

But I don't think her feelings for Ichigo can be considered as a crush anymore.

After Soul Society arc, she becomes someone who is more responsible and wants to use her pin powers more responsible and want to protect people especially Ichigo with her powers. She becomes obssessive in training and wanting to protect and make Ichigo happy. And she's very perceptive and sensitive with Ichigo's feelings to the extend that she shed tears for him.

I would say Inoue look more and more mature with that...and it always give me impression that she has given up a lot for Ichigo especially the characters that she originally intended to be. She grows up, no longer be classified as a little girl....she is now a woman. A tragic potential love interest for Ichigo. And I hate Ichigo for it. For causing Inoue to suffer.
