Yeah I heard about that too. Thats just so stupid. From what I know, the anime is not even that close to the manga. Apparently the filler arc will last for 5 weeks. So probably just 5 episodes of filler, still sucks like crap though.

Naruto Shippuuden is already pretty far behind in the manga, why make it even more so?

Edit- Naruto Shippuuden Anime Episode 54 has been subbed by Dattebayo. You may download the torrent file from the Dattebayo Website or download our provided link(s) . The episode was delayed because the format has switched, meaning it is now a Wide-Screen HD show, and in order for Dattebayo to accommodate the new wide screen format, they had to change the codec used in the episode to H264. So in order to watch Naruto Episodes from now on, you will need to download the H264 codec. Dattebayo recommends the use of VLC or CCCP to decode the files.

Anyone watch ep54 yet? I thought it was surprisingly good, funny as well, like when Sai was trying to come up with nicknames lol :D

I also like the song for the new opening theme [the new filler characters in the opening theme have bad designs though lol], the ending theme is not as great.

Most of the episode wasn't filler, except for the very ending.

The "Dog, rabbit, boar, dragon, snake, rabbit, boar, dog...etc." part was such a filler.

yea ... from the looks of things theyre gonna mix fillers with plot ... could be worse i suppose. im happy to see no "banana lip" villains like in every movie

lol i liked the handsigns at the beginning.....though I thought something way cooler was going to happen...

at least they made up for that when Sai called Sakura "ugly"...the expression on her's and Naruto's faces made me almost die!

really enjoyed the last 4 episodes started to get interesting again, number 54 was back tot he old school for me it had me wondering about what is going to happen in the future with these new characters and also it was funny again, i think as of late they have really missed the humor out of naruto but for some reason 54 had me in stitch's.

also am hearing about fillers but isn't it interesting that naruto is finally learning some new skills, to be able to compete with sasuke's just samazing skills.

i dont know about you but i'm kinda bored of seeing him using the clone technique over and over!

Well i can tell you that i don't see them doing a filler episode yet unless its to update whats happening but they did that already.

From the look of the preview at the end of ep 54 it looks like the episode is going to be canon, but who knows if some filler elements are gonna be thrown in there.

He hasn't used it much in Shippuuden, so it's not too bad.

I don't think anyone is curious on his techniques. It'll probably just be some different type of Rasengan, since that's all he knows.
We probably won't see a new technique soon, though, since Kakashi wanted to train him. Not show him a new technique.

Plus the fillers will fill up some time, so we won't see anything new for awhile. Maybe.
