Does anyone know when the third book in the series is coming out?

Well they have made it a cycle so there will be four books.

The third, Brisingr comes out September 20th, 2008

He prob changed the title when he realized he had to make 4 books instead of 3. You can preorder Brisingr now... I personally am very excited about this book release! :)

Well we never knew what the third was going to be called. But I am glad he changed it to how he wants it, and not to try and fit some mold.

I am really excited for it though.

Anyways, funny the third book should be named Brisingr. Either way, I hope Paolini's writing has improved. There were several inconsistancies with the first two. I'm not really looking forward to it, I guess I'll read it for closure if anything.

ill probably borrow it from one of my friends, the series is an allright read, but filled with cliches that are noticeable if you are familiar with the genre.

Kaze, it does seem pretty unrealistic that there is no other Eragon thread on this forum, but I don't remember. It's been so long since there has been any noteworthy updates for the Inheritence Cycle. *shrug*

I suppose there are a lot of cliches in the series and the story drags in places and jumps around too quickly in others, but it's one of those stories where I just have to know what happens.

Eragon the book, however, was leaps and bounds better than the movie! I love Jeremy Irons as much as the next person, but that movie disappointed me to no end!

Never watched the movie but I heard it was really bad lol.

Don't waste your money on the movie. It storyboard was poorly done and the editing was ridiculously abrupt and confusing. There were unnecessary changes to the story and poor Saphira looked horrible (what kind of dragon has feathers). The only plus for me was the eye candy: the kid who plays murtagh and brom (Jeremy Irons). :)

In anycase, I sincerely hope they do not make a sequel to this movie. Or if they must, I hope they make it completely different from the first one.

But this is the books and literature section... so all of the above is techically spam, right?

So I read a spoiler that said Eragon will meet God what do you all make of that?
