gg didn't release it, someone else did using gg's script. it's the one i watched, but the quality wasn't the best :/ oh well.
Eclipse's video quality was good. It was an oversize file though (24- MB IIRC), their subs were very readable, but there were also some noteable differences in translation. I look forward to a Shinsen or Menclave release so I can see which was closer.

Well, he can't just be an implanted memory. He was driving a motorcycle after all. But it will be interesting to see how he fits into the plot. He would seem to be an imposter added to explain the dissappearance of Nunaly, but that would mean Brittania was the one that changed everyone's memory, not C.C.

I'm expecting the next few episodes will spend a fair amount of time tying up the loose ends from the previous season.

You missed what he said. The script was gg's. So someone took their .ASS file and did their own video encode and muxxed with it.

I still believe V.V. was acting indendently. The emperor with the Geass is not related. He's shown several times in the last season at a floating temple, so he's already unlocked quite a bit about the race C.C. and V.V. belong to.

The whole Geass thing isnt just specialized for Lelouch. In the beginning the government was trying to protect CC like she was something really important, and there were subtle hints about them expanding upon this technology throughout the 1st season. I see some Geass vs Geass battles to come in the future, and it looks like the emperor has one as well.

Implanting the memories also must be a Geass. It also seems to me that Lelouch wasnt the only one who had memory alteration, considering a few more people seemed to know that Lelouch was Zero.

Lelouch seemed like a little wuss in the beginning before he got his memories back. Although some of that must have been a product of his recreated memory.

I also wonder why the Brittanians basically ignored Lelouch when they seemed to know he was Zero. That crew he killed toward the end knew he was significant in some way, as they were sent to spy on him.

I agree with most people, Rollo is a terrible character. He seems more wussy than Suzaku at his worst. I dont see him becoming someone who fights though, but who knows? Suzaku still seems like his rival.

Cant wait for ep 2! Seeing how Lelouch revamps the Order of the Black Knights will be interesting. Also considering that some people (well many) feel as though Zero betrayed them.

I get to see CC again, yay.

Also, the ending to episode 1 is eerily similar to the ending of episode 1 in first season, lol. Cliche.

They only seemed to know he was imporant in regards to C.C., like time had been rewound and they were back to capturing C.C. again like at the start of season 1. Or perhaps after Zero was declared dead they began to consider her the leader of the remanents of the Black Knights so that's why they were after her. This would jive with the conversation at the begining (comments that "their" last stand was with an airship).

I think his first move will be to retrieve the Four Holy Blades and Ogi and everyone else that's locked up. But how many will wish to return is a better question.

You think? Im still wondering whos Geass gave him fake memories. After more thought, amnesia wouldnt have gave him those fake memories, it had to be a mind controling thing like a Geass. And that person would have to know Lelouch's identity, so I dont think his identity as a prince is totally secret. This is apparent with the attack on him. Even if the attackers only knew he was affiliated with CC, the higher ups must know more about him.

Is there something wrong with the questions I propose? :) Well, he does have to regroup with his old comrades, but even his close followers seem to be split on whether they were betrayed or not. If they feel betrayed, they wont rejoin without possible convincing on Lelouch's part.

Yea, the first episode of this was entirely similar with the first episode of the other. Beginning to end. He played a chess game in a tough place and won. Check! He rode in the sidecar (heh). Check! He was put in a pinch, given the Geass, and ordered the guys to kill themselves. Check!

I still thought it was a good episode though. Lelouch was a little wimpy though.

He gets caught up in incident between the Brittanian army and a rebel group as nothing more than an innocent bystander student ... check!
He carries around a shot C.C. ... check!
He cries out inside for the power to overcome his situation ... check!

There were a bunch of other examples, not to mention the similarity in titles between the first episode of season 1 and R2.

Oh wow, I didn't realize that the ENTIRE episode was just a rip-off off the first episode from season 1. Well, it was still frustrating to see Lelouch being a wimp because I know he has his powers. It took me a while before I realized he has amnesia of sorts.

As much as it sounds sort of possible that CC could have protected Lelouch's memories, I sort of doubt it. She would have had no reason to do such a thing, unless it was a way of resetting the Geass (so he can turn it off). I got the vibe that someone set him up to be brainwashed though, so that is why I believe in outside interference. The next episodes may clear this up, but if it was CC I doubt they will take the time to explain it.

It cant be evidence disposal this time, it was different. Someone was tracking his movements everyday for a reason. Why would they have known his daily schedule if they thought he was just a piece of evidence involved with CC? From what I could see, he hasnt come in contact with CC since the incident in the first season.

It's a bit vague, but I believe when Lelouch used the Geass on Cornelia, she mentioned that his mother was the one to order the shooting on his family. Though that's only what I think happened. I can't remember. I'd have to rewatch the episode to confirm that.

Finally got around to watching it, I am glad i'm not the only one who thought it was an action replay of the first episode of the first season :P Also took me a while to work out Lulu didn't realise he was Zero, was quite confusing some of the stuff he was saying about Zero in the beginning >_>

It'll be intersting to see how many people's memories got played with. Does Kar(ll)en remember any/everything? Seems like she knew Lulu was Zero, but does she remember the events of season 1, because it seemed to me she wasn't all the happy with Lulu being Zero initially. What of the memories of Suzaku? Shirley? Villetta? Cant wait for the next installment ><

Cornelia reveals the little information that she knows of Marianne's murder to Zero under Geass. V.V. takes Nunnally to Kaminejima and Zero abandons Japan to find his sister. Without Zero, the Black Knights begin to lose against the Britannian Army. Suzaku and Karen follow to the island, where Lelouch and Suzaku come to a final confrontation against each other.

I don't think something like this was ever mentioned in the anime, keep the spoilers away. -_-

Don't warn me for something that you didn't know next time....Also since you brought it up the Manga was adapted from the anime..Which means that your going to get spoilers from the first season from the anime before the manga..It's only things from the manga adaptions about events after the first season that can be spoiled.

Ok, I just had to dig into my archive and rewatched that bit for the sake of the argument.

Cornelia told Lelouch that Marianne ordered the guards to withdraw, but she didn't say anything about Marianne ordered the shooting of her family. Lelouch was still wondering who did it when Cornelia stopped speaking.

Wiki is very resourceful, but sometimes it can't be completely relied on.

But this is a little ridiculous. I mean half of his school was reprogrammed. That being said I cant wait to see how its all explained. And Viletta sort of threw me off as well. I think she might have quit the army after the events in season 1. Reason being she obviously had feelings for Ogi but was disgusted with herself for having them. This can be proven by the constant talk of "wild sex" and the fact that a trained soldier from point blank didn't kill him with a shot from a gun. It just seems odd, and unless she knows Lulu is Zero or is under mind control of her own its just too coincidental for me to accept.

I agree with you. I feel like a lot of mass mind control is either going on, or it is just an exploited loophole in the story implying that someone with a Geass can do this. Hopefully we get an explanation. I hope its not something Clamp overlooked.

I don't think it's mass mind control. Think of it, guys- it's been an entire year. Rollo could have simply transferred from the mainland. By then, Lelouch's memory would be "fixed", and he'd recognize Rollo, so the other people wouldn't question it, thus needing only one person to be wiped. About Nunnally, the other students could have been told something convincing about her then just made Lelouch forget about her. or something. lol

That was then. When they were talking inside the G1 during the declaration, Euphemia managed to convince Lelouch, and you see him make an...actually gentle face. not only that, when he ordered his Knights to kill Euphie, he shed tears.

That can't be applied on Lelouch. Everything he did (using the Geass, forming the Order, creating the Black Rebellion) was all for Nunnally. If Nunnally died, then all he did would have been for nothing. Nothing at all. You can't say it's not a big reason. C.C. said it to Lelouch herself, "She is your raison d'etre". simply put, his reason for living, fighting, etc.

I don't think Lelouch would have left his post for any other reason other than that. the show emphasizes how much Lelouch needs Nunnally so much it pretty much dispelled my disdain as to why he left his post during the Black Rebellion.
