Seems to have a really good start. Just got done watching episode 1, and this seems like it is going to be a good anime. You can definitely tell its a shoujo, as there are plenty of bishounens and the girls just love them. It shows promise, I just hope a plot is established in the next episode. I havent read the manga, but I hear really good things about it.

I agree. The first episode wasn't too bad. The last anime that could come close to being shoujo that I remember watching was Trinity Blood which also involved vampires. Trinity Blood didn't end very well and I felt the arcs didn't connect very well either.

As u said, eternalmetal, I also hope this involves a good vampire storyline.

I'm not sure what you mean but if you mean the subs, fansubbers sometimes take a while to release the first episode in a new season due to the OP and ED karaoke and all that. After the first release, it'll be more consistent, like weekly.

^^ The thread is stickied. I can tel that nobody notices it, because I continually posted updated releases and nobody commented on any of them. EDIT: It dissapeared! Where did it go, I wanted to post the first episode of Monochrome Factor. EDIT2: Found it and bumped!

Going to watch ep 2 later on today and will post how I feel about it later.

I find it a bit rediculous how idiodic they portray the girls just oogling the guys from the night class. I know its a shoujo, but come on, really. I hope this series picks up, because an entire episode went by withabsolutely nothing happening. We were revealed no new information (other than vampire powers, what a surprise!), and it kind of just dragged on. If they were worried about catching up to the manga (one reason to make a series crawl), they shouldnt have released the anime yet.

Gahhh! Vampire Knight is one of my favorite manga series so I'm so stoked it finally has its own anime series!! Man, the promo looked wicked awesome and the first episode totally rocked! (although the OP was a little dorky for me).

I hope the 1st season goes all the way up until the newest manga release. It gets SO much better after like, the 25th chapter!

Don’t worry there is a plot which should reveal itself in the next episode or the next few episodes. If you look there have been some hints of the plot in second episode.

Yeah it's following the manga right now.. not a whole lot happens in the beginning but it starts to pick up which is why this is one of my top animes to follow this season. Great show.. mad smexy characters and yes.. zero is <3. XD

Correction, it was showing manga material, but has not introduced any substantial plot yet. Other than giving Zero the chance to succumb to his vampire urges, but thats not really plot. Plot is what you would call story, it has nothing to do with character development, setting, or daily life events. I would have just expected the second episode to leave you on a little bit of a cliffhanger, showing you that a story is coming up shortly.

Its not that it should have flashed what it was about, but this felt like it should have been a mid season filler, with the whole Valentine's day thing and all. I guess they are just introducing the story, and I see that, but is anyone able to admit that it was a tad slow and boring? It has a great introduction and I do have a feeling this will become the best vampire anime yet (not much contest tbh), but it is off to a slow start (like most anime with good character development, and eventualy turning into a masterpiece).

Does it count that I love the atmosphere? Its somber and perfectly fitting of a vampire drama. I love it and cant wait for episode 3.

Well, from what I know about the subbers, is that Ureshi and Mishicorp ihave a tendency to be slightly better than Shoku-dan, but I feel that if your waiting impatiently for a release, Shoku is not a bad choice. I felt as though they did a fine job on the first two episode. They made slight errors, but that can be overlooked

Yea, if its between Mishicorp and Shoku-dan, then Mishicorp is definitely your best bet. Although I usually download Shoku cause I try and watch it the day its released.

So Zero is definitelty a bloodsucking son of a *****. He finally came out of his cloffin and admitted OMG Im a VAMPIRE, I SUCK blood! So he sucks the blood of the innocent classmate of his. I figured he would do this.

This is definitely an interesting approach. They seeem to be expressing mood and atmosphere more than character development and plot. Ill take a bath in it though, cause I love it!

Episode 4 out, subbed by your mom (not actually your mom, but the subbing group). I think they do an alright job, but are mostly a speed sub group. Translations are good for speed subs, but they probably wont do any fancy karaoke or anything with intros/outros.

Well, you wouldnt be wrong, definitely Bleach VAs in here. Sado's VA plays a role, Hinagiku, Aidou is the same VA as Yumichika, and Kain is voiced by Grimmjow.

@Evanesque: Yeah, I've been noticing the little division trend lately, with one of them being Rosario+Vampire which did end in I think March. Luckily Rosario+Vampire is also gonna have a second season in around September or October so any of you R+V watchers should look out for that in fall.
